Really? I've only played the Firewalker missions with the Hammerhead but compared to the Mako on PC at least, I really don't like the Hammerhead. The weapons are annoying, the whole platforming aspect is irritating to me and its just very meh. My only problem with the Mako was that the environments were garbage which meant you ended up getting stuck alot, but the vehicle itself I always thought was fine.

Little thing I noticed with the concept art from yesterday.

This Dragon was released with the concept art supposely from DA2 yesterday:

Yet this Dragon was released way back as concept art for Origins:

Thought it was kind of odd- big difference would be the DA2 one has more detail and bigger horns on its head I guess. But I wonder if either that "new" Dragon really is just an old one or if the artists and BioWare are sort of going back and revising every aspect of Origins' art design too so that everything has the whole jaggy, spiky feel.

The Witcher, huh?  The lighting is superb.  I might have to play as you say.

BTW, on the ME2 front; in Overloard, I thing they've heard you talking Brock.  There are actually 2 sections where the onboard computer of the Hammerhead tells you that a pleasant view is approaching and that if you're humanoid you may want to stop and take it in.  A couple of long view sweeping vista put in there just for you.

I thought it was a neat little interjection anyway.

Just finished overlord last night, (the hammerhead has had a few funny lines like that in both overlord & firewalker) thought it was very similar to a particular mission in ME1. The regenade interrupt with that one geth getting dismembered at the end of vulcan station was probably the highlight of the experience, plus the hammerhead is certainly an improvement over the mako.

As usual, ME produced yet another piece of DLC that was on target.  The only criticism I have is that is was too short.  Of course, I'd say that on every DLC.  But overall, very enjoyable, and as usual worth the points to play.  Amen on the Hammerhead vice Mako.  You know, I don't know if it was the Mako so much as the near endless grind on each planet, and some god awful terrain that you had to use the Mako to get through.  But thumps up on the Hammerhead.  I really like the salvage mini game using it.  Nice touch.

It was kinda neat to hear Loghain again, huh?

You are so right about that.  Their near indifference and glibness with (what at least started off as) constructive criticism is more than a little disturbing and really maddening from a consumer standpoint from a company that wants to "hawke" the next game in its franchise.

Part of me wants to see them sweat a bit, I really want Bethesda to announce Elder Scrolls 5 for 2011 and I want it to be Tech 5 based. I want to see what they say when they're backed into a corner and they have to get the fans onboard or they'll get murdered at retail. They seem so confident that they can do whatever they want and still have a hit on their hands, but if they're getting smashed from all sides by stiff competition and they don't own the media anymore that's when we'll see them be honest.

Also 200 pages.

Well, the mako tended to get stuck whilst you were in direct firing line of geth turrets. In the hammerhead I'm not constantly returned to the game over screen as a result of clipping the edge of the terrain. Since you only ever controlled the Mako in crappily designed environments that's all I have to judge it on.

Jaggies & spikes make everything better

He'll never be "Loghain" to me, he'll always be Kain from the Legacy of Kain series. Superb VA imo.

Doens't these Dragon horns do look something alike the horns that white-haired witch is wearing? That would greatly support that Flemeth/shapeshifter theory?

edit: i apologize for that Morrigan face morph in the second pic,
couldn't find a different pic of that witch and was too lazy to continue
looking

I know it doesn't have the sheer volume of the Alistair and Zev threads, but hey it's quality that counts.Posted Image

I am starting the Hawke/shapeshifter rumor right here! Hawke has a claw hand. Hawke sounds like hawk.

Therefore, the dragon is Hawke!

Edit: Sorry, going away now ;)  BTW, the Witcher...  I recommend it.  I love these "no clear good or evil" stories.

I believe you are right.

The dragon bears a strong resemblance to Flemeth. Now i'm wondering what kind of role will Flemeth play in DA2?

Wil she act as an advisor/guids to Hawke? Be a companion (my hope)? Or be some kind of villain?

No. The dragon is Morrigan. I'm surprised no one started a thread to point it out.

She was the dog in the throne room, the Mother in Awakening, she is the woman in the artwork... and lets not forget she is Flemeth too. So why not a high dragon?

Villain right from the start might be an easy choice, i doubt that. She will try to play her tricks with Hawke like she did with the Warden. You may end up fighting her, maybe even by chance. Who knows, maybe in the end, Hawke can trust Morrigan and fight Flemeth or vice versa and thereby deciding the romanctic fate oif the Warden. I know what i would do.

And then epilogue vid/epilogue slide tells us what happens to the Warden after his love survived or got killed by Hawke...

My biggest thing is that the BW posts seem to be falling back onto this 'You silly poster, you have no clue what you are saying because you know nothing about the game. If you kept an open mind you'd love us.' Tack on the super cheer squad following them around and then parroting it in other threads and it just gets maddening. You've told us some pretty big bits about the game so far, plenty enough to start forming opinions.

You are so right about that.  Their near indifference and glibness with (what at least started off as) constructive criticism is more than a little disturbing and really maddening from a consumer standpoint from a company that wants to "hawke" the next game in its franchise.

To be fair, Gaider has stepped in a couple times and said that they welcome the constructive criticism.  Someone actually then criticized him for "encouraging the whiners."  Heh. You can never win.

Congrats on page 200!  Though I'm not a full-fledged Morri fanboy, I feel like I did my part by defending Morrigan in various threads and talking about how interesting a character she is even before this thread was cool.  And by contributing game saves to the Restoration Project.  Thanks for letting me be a hanger-on and even sneak an Alistair shot in now and again.  LOL

You know, that's what I was thinking when I first saw her in the Wilds. I started to back from that stance thinking it was me simply typecasting characters...

Uhhh... I just separated the slides so I can take a closer look. WOW....

Now I see why people think that is both Flemeth and Morrigan.

Flemeth is assuming direct control of your Morrigan.
