Your 45th Cousland? Heavens!! I thought about making my third to have a clean run with Terras mod that also goes through Awakening so i have a perfect Morrigan save game in the vain hope that will matter for DA 2. Unless, of course, the different love flag messes something up, but i doubt it that BW is even aware there is some flag/romance/epilogue isse

Hehe 45th is a very heavy exaduration but aedan cousland has made a total of 8 runs I believe, plus 2 awakening runs. According to steam I have wasted 364 hours on the game since I bought it in january. And that is AFTER I used my roomates copy that he had preordered to keep it away form him while he had exams for 6 weeks xD If that time would be clocked I would be borderline legandary in terms of life, exams and general social niceties ive missed out on due to this infernal apearantly crystal meth laced game xD

So trust me if anyone is supposed to be "dissappointed" about no continuity for my wardens its bloody me

Edit: And still no run with terras mod xD F'ck me my life is over:lol:

Well I heard again and again how horrible Liara was in ME2 before I ever bought the game so I was sort of expecting the worst. It wasn't that bad if you pick the proper dialogue tree, though Shepard's reaction was sort of underwhelming but that being said I can work it out in my head. At the very least I know Shepard will star in ME3 and Liara will be back since she's wearing the death proof plot armour for a reason. With Morrigan and The Warden well not so much, I don't even know if they're both going to live through Hawke's epic adventure.

In general I'm super conflicted about the Mass Effect series, it's great when it works and it's bloody awful when it doesn't. What I want is ME1's story and characters with ME2's graphics and gameplay, right now it seems that both are missing a crucial something.

don't get me started with that. I run into a guy today who said " be happy they give you something like a carry over of savegames".

Yeah, that capitalism, be happy a company who has to convince me to buy what they made in order to make a living and some profit is at least offering me something slightly interesting. *shakes head*

i don't get those guys, BW or Dragon Age games are not like taxes i have to pay even if i disagree what they do with it.. It's my money, and either i like what they have to offer or i don't, than my money stays in my pocket.

@adneate: i wasn't prepared for that, well, cold encounter, and it hit me pretty hard. Hopefully, ME 3 can make up for it. I have two faithful Shepards, male and female, waitig for happy Liara reward in ME 3. Maybe that will also teach the DA team how to proper close a love story, as they already heavily borrowing from Mass Effect

Hehe at the moment I am almost happy that DA2 might perhaps not hook me as damn badly as DAO but still if they do it correctly ill dissappear from society again for a month or two xD Even my gaming budies in my clan were wondering if I had died it was that bad...ahh well I think we should be happy that at least the worldstate will carry over to some extent, lets just hope it is in a better manner than it did in awakening and ME2 for that matter. I seem to have more trust in the dao team than the me one, but frankly I enjoyed ME2 more than ME1 since the combat was a lot better but the story suffered for it.



Ahh well we'll get through it somehow, we have our morrigan support crew to cry with if it all goes apesh*t

Indeed it's awkward at first but it makes more sense if you stick with it, you've been dead two years and she gave your mangled corpse to terrorists because she was too weak to let go. So she's betrayed the philosophy of her people in addition to fearing that you hate her guts for putting you in such a mess with Cerberus. Though I contend that if you cheat on her because of that then in ME3 you should get turned into liquid reaper food and see if you like that better than working for Cerberus.

As for closing a love story well a bunch of the people on DA worked on Throne of Bahaal so it's not that they don't know how to it's just that for whatever reason they feel they don't have to do that for DA.

I am already settled, Ximenas comics are my officially Dragon Age Morrigan related universe, and this is how i also picture my Warden to be (he just looks different than Edric, a shame i am not an artist like ximena to make a happy "my Warden and Morrigan with child" myself i could use as a wall paper. All that Biware has to offer is nothing more than fanfiction to me at the moment.

i know. It was still hard, after DAO, i had hoped for something more. And how you could betray her after all shes done for you is beyond me

As long as they don't make her some kind of second Viconia, no need fo experience and feel that again. Many guys who wrote Origins and Morrigan also wrote Viconia and Throne of Bhaal. Gaider, to be specific.

Ahh the patch is finally downloading after 15 attempts...bloody hell this bugger is not small even at 1.2mb/sec it is taking its time. Ahh well soon ... sooon....soooooooon...god I really don't like waiting ;D



@mosa hehe yeah some of the overly positive dudes in the DA2 forum are borderline redicolous, but the image of bioware employees coming to collecto ur money from us directly...well I can sorta see it happen atm xD Ahh well may comic con give us something to be excited about, and I also hope gamestar when it comes out next week has some more insights than the gameinformer article.

that patch finally fixed ma character upload, it was broken since 1.03. I had a bunch of characters and pretty faces i wanted to use but couldn't.

Morrigan this... God Baby that...

Seriously, over 50% of the topics there are about the Morrigan/OGB plot thread.

I'm pretty sure it won't be such a big issue as people make it out to be. The fact that you can import your save into DA2 is pretty much all the proof you need. Three out of four endings do not have a God Baby. If they wanted to make it the focus(or at least something BIG) of DA2 it would be canon and no one would be allowed to import a save(and alter the main plot).

I'm betting it would be something optional and exclusive to those who imported a save. A side quest of some sort.

As an aside, I wouldn't be surprised if the DR backfires on Morrigan and she ends up with a better fate in the non-baby endings. That would be a nice twist.

Or maybe they'll just take the easy way out and do something stupid.

eg: The Warden got crushed by a rock and Morrigan got possessed by Flemeth. End of story, here's your closure.

@blade nothing to see so far for me but I'm still at ostagar, but still 2.40 hours without a crash is not nothing I guess We'll see how it turns out in the long run so far none of the changes have hit me and since Im playing on a different computer than normal

I'm curious to re-try Awakening with the patch if for nothing else to see the letters....and to be disappointed that there likely still is no recognition of the Morrigan romance outside of a Powerpoint slide *sigh*

well, i can't say if you get anything from her. What i can say is that you don't get any letters. What you get is a codex entry right at from the very beginning that is written like a letter. I expected that soldier might hand you a love letter, instead it's just part of the codex the very moment you start Awakening. So if you wanna try if there is a codex letter from Morrigan as well, just load a Morrigan love character into Awakening and look if there is a new codex entry. If not, no letter from her. And i doubt that patch has added an extra cutscene or anything else important just for us fans, so if there is nothing at the start, there will be equally nothing throughout the rest of the game.

Too bad, it would have been a nice touch to get it from the blonde chick.  I'll still have to log on my Mrs. Arainai to see Zevran's letter.  And, once again, Warden Alistair gets the complete shaft.  Just goes to show he was meant to be king or dead.  Or a bum.

*facepalm* Wow, really? Awakening just seems sooooo rushed out the door. You've got the perfect mechanism to receive letters from Origins characters like the email in ME2, and what do we get instead? A handful of random quests...

Awakening really had some potential to be awesome but its just such a disaster...

Fair or not, Awakening did a fantastic job in really killing my faith in BioWare's future DA content. Lets hope DA2 is better (although I'm not holding my breath)

Does anyone know if Game Informer is supposed to update today? I know the hub still hasn't updated from last week.

And apparently the DA2 sneak peak at Comic Con this week is covered with NDA's, so don't expect to hear much of anything about it...

Sadly, for the moment, there is no one to really trust. Obviously, Gi struck a deal with BW to be the first one to provide exclusive information and screenshots about DA 2. Naturally, they won't gamble that relationship by voicing some concerns they might have or not have from what they've seeen and heard so far. So you can't trust their hype either at the moment, as they sold themselves to become BW DA 2 marketing department
