Ummm can you add the kiss before she says.. go. That's where it's supposed to be right?

Or is it too complicated?

No.  It cannot be added there.  There's no way.

Edit: Maybe it could be.  I'm not sure I'll be able to put in the kiss at all.  Adding kisses to this dialog is something I had to beg for help!

Did Charsen write up any of his notes/findings on the addition of kissing - its something I wouldn't mind looking into when I get a bit more free time.

Speaking of kisses... I found another one that's missing.

The conversation where she begs the PC to break with her.... there was supposed to be an angry kiss there..

Something like...

PC: I don't want this to end.

Morrigan: You miserable selfish bastard..

*KISS*

Morrigan: You will regret this and so will I. And... perhaps that is how it must be.

Damn!

It's not any kisses.  It's the kisses in this scene in particular.

Edit: The problem I came up against is that Zevran walks away in this scene.  So while I could put the kiss in, he was gone.  It was strange, and I could not get it.  Charsen wrestled with it for quite some time before he got it.

Anyway, things are BUSY here.  You should probably ask him yourself -- I can't speak for him at all.  I can just say he's amazingly awesome and nice.

Yeh, when Zevran declares his feelings, there's supposed to be a kiss there as well.  It's really lame all the good stuff they left out.

Edit: And Sabriana, before you ask, of course he fixed it.  It's his ZevRing mod.

Terra_Ex, kisses at the gates are more complicated to add in, if I understood Ejoslin's and Charsen's explanation correctly. There is a lot of messy stuff going on in that scene. Very sloppy stuff, or so I understood. Which doesn't mean all that much.

The DA:O toolset borders on nightmarish for the casual builder like I am.

Ejoslin, I just installed those files you linked and Zevran dialogue for friendship with the Warden improved 100%.

I have to thank you again for all the work you've put into this for us hopeless romantics!

I'll have to start a new female char to romance Zev and see the romance play out properly.

Make sure you use Charsen's mods and mine. Charsen's are ZevRing and ZevranASAP. Both are excellent.

Edit: And you probably want to add the rest of ZDF.  Just make sure you keep the party_events files you have right now.  They're newer than anyone else has!

Second edit: Apparently I'm going to run into the same problems with Morrigan as I did with Zevran.  I'll look into this more.

Third edit: That friendship dialog was what we were getting when in a romance with him.  Very lame!

And you're welcome.  I'm a hopeless romantic as well!  The romances all deserved a better ending than what was released.

Charsen is a sweetheart. He's very easy-going, and very nice.

How did you know I was going to ask that, Ejoslin? Are you psychic now? :D

I have to get the newest Zevring then. I've gotten into the habit of downloading yours and his mods on a daily basis. Just in case, you know.

Charsen is amazingly cool. I'm still in awe of him!

Poor guy just got his message box totally spammed by me!  I kept sending and thinking of other inane things to say!  He'll be polite about it though.

I came to this forum to ask this very question...glad I found this thread. Looks like I am in the same boat as the OP. You would think they would mention her especially if you said you would try to find her...

Oooh, ok, spammy link one more time!  No one report me, or I'll have to cry!  Zevran with Charsen's kiss added to a Human Female (yes, that's my avatar, lucky lady).

Edit: Sure beats all those spammy, "earn me tokens" posts that have been showing up, right?  Anyway, I'll announce in here when ZDF adds morrigan kisses, if it does!

Now my post is somewhat on topic!

I'll have a look at Charsen's tutorials. Maybe I can figure out something, so I can at least help. I had no idea Morrigan was treated as shabbily as Zevran.

Holy crap, 6 pages in one night. It's amazing what gets done and how much gets posted when the female fans show up. Not that that's a bad thing, of course. =]

I wanted to add, if the city gates scene does get Morrigan kisses, it won't be anything I did at this point. I'll look at adding them to the places in the normal dialogs.

Its frustrating that its left up to modders to have to get the game working properly. I'm not going to rag on Bioware too much because I'm sure they're hopefully trying to deal with some of the more game breaking bugs that 1.03 introduced, but throwing some of these little dialogue or epilogue slide fixes or the missing Zevran and Leliana letters into a future patch shouldn't be that hard right? It just seems like these sort of more storyline and plot oriented fixes would be fairly easy to implement and yet nothing has been done with them yet...

I'm not a Morrigan fan!  I'm just helping you guys out!

I like Morri as a friend, mind you.  But I'm a Zev Fangirl and proud!

I was referring to fans of the game in general, not specifically Morrigan. ;)

Again, don't hold your breath.  The problems with Zevran's epilogue slides were FIXED for the PS3 before launch, but not touched for the xbox or PC.  And patches seem to introduce more bugs.

Truthfully, I feel safer being the one doing the fixing!

Oh wow, I just played that a day or two ago and that would have changed the dynamic of that conversation quite a bit.  As it stands, it really sounds like she hates your guts.

Bleh, never mind.  What I thought would be simple is NOT.  This whole dialog is messed up.

Edit: Actually this MAY be a simple fix.  Does anyone have a save from around that time that they could send me?

I don't want just some explanation to what happened with Morrigan, it had better unfold before my eyes or imahavetochokea****. You played as your guy from BG2 (or so I'm told although you didn't have the luxury of importing the character from the first game.... or am I wrong?) you played as Shepeard from ME1 and ME2, I don't see why it shouldn't be the same here.

I agree wholeheartedly- Bioware and the devs have gone on the record as saying that Morrigan is very important to Origins and that her story isn't over yet.  For me, the whole crux of the matter comes down to if Morrigan shows up in any future DA game, it better be my Warden from DAO thats interacting with her, not some other New Hero of Thedas. I'm fine with starting a new character in a new corner of the DA universe eventually, but especially after the kick in the balls that is the Morrigan romance ending in Origins, just let the Warden track Morrigan down, please?

I know some people are just hoping for an expansion pack to wrap things up with the Warden, but I really hope the Warden and Morrigan get the proper conclusion in a full fledged sequel. I didn't hate Awakening or anything, but if the quality and polish level of Awakening is what we can expect for future DA expansions, then count me out.  Awakening wasn't bad but it is just severaly lacking when compared to Origins and I would hate to see Morrigan's story get crammed into a rush job of an expansion pack just so that DA2 can focus on some New Epic Hero of Thedas. If Bioware can pull out a Throne of Bhaal style expansion pack for the Warden and Morrigan, then cool, but otherwise I really hope that plot thread gets saved for DA2...

As for BG2, yeah you could import your PC into BG2 from BG1 but it didn't really track any choices or anything like ME does- they kind of just made a canon of sorts for what you did in BG1. But the transfer from BG2 to Throne of Bhaal kept your romance going and everything.

I agree with literally every word you said my man. What's funny is that I even use that same line to describe the romance ending, a kick in the balls. Great minds think alike I guess. Posted Image I liked Awakening because it made me feel like my Warden was practically invincible and because it was more DA which can never be a bad thing. Bioware REALLY dropped the ball with the convo system and I can only pray and hope that it doesn't carry over to future expansions and certainly not DA2. I mean seriously? Looking for one specific tree in a freaking forest to start a two minute dialouge with a character I don't even like? What is that? It's tedious, it's boring and you end up feeling nothing for the characters. I loved Oghren because he's good old Ogie and he had the best lines in the expansion. He hit on everything with a pair of jugs and was just overall hilarious. Anders was kind of cool too, but he couldn't replace Alistair.
I'm getting side-tracked. The fact is that even with my romance with Leliana, I still really want to find out which way the story is going to go with Morrigan. What I'm kind of scared about is something that someone mentioned on another thread. They brought up a good point that Bioware might decide to go with a cannon ending (like you mentioned with BG). Would it automatically assumed that the ritual happened? My second warden had a romance with her but said no to the ritual (pretty tragic to watch IMO). The epilouge then said that the ritual never did end up happening. Would your ending in Awakening mean nothing? Hope not. I just hope that if they do end up doing a cannon ending, they make it satisfying for everyone and don't ****** too many people off. Or just go the Mass Effect route Posted Image that way everyone's a winner!
Speaking of BG, I've heard nothing but praise about how it's the best RPG ever (I'd give my vote to KOTOR but that's just me). Do you know anyway I could get either of them? Legal of illegal any suggestions would be helpful. Posted Image

I have no clue how Bioware will handle any sort of canon- what I do know is that they've gone on the record as saying we haven't seen the last of Morrigan and that her story is not over. I'd guess alot depends on how closely related the story and characters of DA2 are to DAO- if its set in a different part of Thedas or at a different time. But whether that means we get some direct continuation of her story by meeting back up with Morrigan as the Warden in DA2 or if it means we only get to see her as an old woman or something if they fast forward the timeline 50 years or something for DA2, we'll just have to see.

Thats one of my concerns- I think it would be cool to skip around the timeline in DA games in the future, but I just want them to have DA2 maybe be  2-5 years or so after Origins, nothing too crazy. The thing that makes me worried that they'll skip way far ahead is when you look at what they're doing with The Old Republic.

I know its different but when you look at how Awakening ends with the Warden vanishing and then look at how KOTOR2 ends with Revan and the Exile vanishing ( I know Bioware didn't make KOTOR2 but still...), then look at how The Old Republic is set 300 years after the events of KOTOR. So we'll likely never get a proper resolution to Revan's storyand then they've thrown in descendents of the KOTOR characters in TOR, like Satele Shan, who is supposed to be a descendant of Bastila from KOTOR.  So thats my concern with DA, that Bioware skips way ahead and we only get to play as the descendents of the Origins characters, if at all. That might be neat to do eventually, but not in the second game of the series.

As far as getting your hands on BG- personally I never played the original BG, I only played BG2 and Throne of Bhaal, but if you can get past the old graphics and lack of having every line voice acted (theres alot more reading), BG2 is some of the best story based gaming out there. The romances in particular are very well done and its great how they transfer right over to Throne of Bhaal. You might be able to find BG2 on amazon or I'm sure you could find it on certain websites...not that I'm condoning that sort of thing...
