Looks even more like that horn thing there. And isn't that white hair coming out from the cloak?

Edit: I'm starting to think that its Flemeth.

Why do I have a feeling like it's her hand... the style is very... ugh stylized so it's possible. Traced over the image the way I see it.

Posted Image

Looks like it is Morrigan pushing her hood up. She has that pauldron though seemingly without feathers. Then she has a bracelet.

Maybe it is the Hawke symbol?

But I noticed Flemeth in there, and it could be Morrigan.

Edit: It might be an alternate cinematic for if you did the DR. It is supposed to be a short recap in the beginning IIRC.

Could be a Hawke... but would they be so literal with Hawke, giving him a goofy graffiti?

I was under the impression that it was the symbol/logo of Kirkwall.

There is a lock going the other way though, if you look at the one at the top. So I wouldn't think that it is a hand.

I interpret that as something connected to the white design on her cloak.

And more Morrigan art~

Well, here is how I see it (behold my mighty paint skillz).

Posted Image

The bottom thing is hair coming down and out from the cloak and the top thing is the Flemeth-horn.The branches at the back is probably more for framing purposes than anything else.

I agree, it looks like hair. Namely, white Flemeth hair

Yay, Morrigan's hood and white hair? I foresee a lot of Morigan = Flemeth in the coming days.

And nice post Ximena lol

Haha. Forgive me. I could not resist throwing in Edric. XD I firmly believe that white thing is her hand. I would recreate the damn 2d art if only I wasn't distracted by DW page and school work. XD Also, I forgot to say I sharpened the image a bit. Helped in staring at it.

Maybe Morrigan is showing off the ring, hence the pose.

Or maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

I think she's pushing or holding the hood to be able to get a clear look at the insignia. Normally, a hood would dip lower towards the forehead. But then the art is stylized so normal things might not apply. XD

EDIT: Yay Soignee~ MOAR MORRIGAN ART! *dances*

Both pictures show Flemeth.

On the upper one it's clear as day due to the staff. On the lower one you can see her tiara and white hair. The reason you can mistake her for Morrigan is because she's got a hood on, similar to the one Morrigan had on her art in DA:O.

Maybe some German speakers can clarify this finding from this thread:

Querne wrote...

I´m not sure if it was mentioned before, but the German gamona side tells, that also gamers on the PC there won´tbe able to zoom out to get an tactical overview, because it would make fighting details and animations hard to see and rise hardware requirements. Instead better camera views were promised:

Die taktische Ansicht aus Dragon Age: Origins (war nur auf PC möglich), die mehr Überblick in den Schlachten lieferte, entfällt komplett, auch auf dem PC. So weit herausgezoomt würde man die detaillierteren Kampfeffekte nicht mehr erkennen und auch die Hardware-Anforderungen wären höher. Zum Ausgleich soll es bessere Kameraperspektiven geben.

http://www.gamona.de...kannt-dialograd erklaert:news,1780981.html

Thats total rubbish if they get rid of the zoomable camera on the PC and get rid of the tactical view....could they be referring to the PC version?

That translation is actually quite correct, nothing more to add to that. If that information is correct, the tactical view is gone for DA 2.

Brockololly wrote...

It could be someone entirely different than Morri. I'm just grapsing at straws for any Morri news...But I'm thinking this chunk of 2D art is the intro stuff, and will likely cover the events of Origins.

Namely, make her more goth looking, paler skin, basically make her look more like a creepy witch.  I would not be happy if they went that route, but say they did.

Looking at that concept art, then compare it to the maybe-maybe not Morrigan face in the video:
Posted Image

The wooden staffs seem to match up, unless the its not really a staff in the art, but just decoration.

The hood- Morrigan is one of the few people in Origins to have a hood- although she never wears it in the game, just the promo art.

Thinking of what thet curly white thing could be- since it seems Hawke and many others have fur adorning their clothes now, could it maybe just be a bit of animal fur on her robe or something?

Aren't we reading just a little bit too much into this? I am all for speculation and i enjoy it as much as everyone, but that is just a screen that was taken from a rather lousy video documentation. It took me minutes to even recognize a face in there.
Alright, it could look like a female with a hood, but other than that? It could be anyone: Bethany or some we do not know yet? Even if she is Morrigan, concluding anymore about her current status, involvement or her looks from such a "picture" is more than just a little bit over the top, don't you think?

Here's some info from Chris Priestley about DA:O and Morrigan:

"In my chat with Chris Priestly, he told me that BioWare is going to keep making downloadable content for Dragon Age: Origins, and that they are planning to keep the DA:O franchise going for as long as they can — so the changes in Dragon Age 2 aren’t necessarily the end for more traditional roleplayers. There is also likely to be a third full Dragon Age game — and Chris told me that they are not yet done with Morrigan’s story."

Is it just me? Or did he really hinted it might be possible that all their "we continue her story" was not about DA 2, but maybe, just maybe, some future content for DAO or a third Dragon Age game?

WiP of a child Morrigan I am working on, about one and half hours in:

I can show this when this is finished or post hourly WiPs if you like, I'm bored enough to do both. I do it in both Zev!thread and Dwarf!thread, not sure what the protocol is here ><;

@Soignee Looking good. We don't really have any protocol here. XD

Anyway, some hilarity ensued in the DW sneak peek I posted at deviantART. (Kinda challenged the watchers/readers to throw in some dialogue on a work-in-progress panel). Wasn't able to resist releasing a parody of a page which hasn't even come out. XD

If they're planning on keeping DAO going for as long as they can... they can't do a lot of major history changes with the warden, because anything else the warden does could potentially have an influence on things that could happen in DA2. Unless Hawke is going on to do the world changing things, while the Warden keeps to some more controlled and confined story lines.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that your decisions in both Origins and Awakening will have an influence on DA2. Other than the Architect choice, I don't even remember any major choices we made... letting Amaranthine burn, maybe?

I don't know.

They keep saying Morrigan's story isn't over quite a bit lately. At first I thought they were reffering to Morrigan making an appearance in DA2, but right now I 'm not so sure anymore.
I don't think they're going to wrap it up with a DLC. Most likely we're looking at Morrigan having a big role in DA3 and hopefuly we'll be able to have the reunion between her and the Warden there.

Still, I'll wait until they reveal all the information about DA2 before I come to a conclusion. Who knows, they might give us some Morri related info.

I think it's quite possible. After all, Morrigan would probably in Orlais for a time during DA2. And with a child in tow, I doubt she'd move fast from place to place.

@phaonica

It's ArtRage. :D Used it once. Really neat.

Artrage has a kickass interface. I wonder if you can mod the Photoshop interface so it isn't all squares? (probably not -le sigh-)
