My issue with the ending of the Warden/Morrigan romance is this: If the Warden said goodbye to Morrigan and then you didn't have the option on several occasions to tell people you're going to go search for her, that would be ok. But the fact that you can have the Warden say he's going off to search for her and thats perpetuated with the Awakening ending, is what potentially perturbs me.

So basically, like it or not, your Warden disappeared searching for Morrigan and then she shows up in some new game, only to have one of the most powerful people in Thedas searching for her, but never finding her? Even when he has a magical ring to track her down? Thats what bothers me- the notion that we could potentially see Morrigan again in a major way and the fact that she ditched her lover whom she had an Old God Kid with will only be tangentially acknowledged.

Of course, I'd love some sort of happy ending for the Warden and Morrigan but it just seems thats not in the cards. At this point, if the Warden just had the chance to find her and the Old God kid, see his little Witch/OGB family for his first and only time then go off on his Calling or something, I'd take that.  I just think its absolutely writer borne cruelty as Gaider might say, to have the most powerful person in Thedas wandering the world in limbo, while Morrigan continues on her merry way in the story of DA.

So the consensous that has been reached is that Morri's story goes well past the warden's story?

Sucks since I wouldnt mind closure for Everd who romanced her. Ah well guess this is what we get for romancing a plot element.

I'd say that's where Bioware stands on the issue, rather than what the fans think or want.

Now we know that Gaider said the Warden's story isn't over and that we might see a reunion between him and Morri.
What exactly will come from that remains to be seen.

*breaks pencil in the process*

Ohwell. Whatever happens. I'm sticking to my fancomic. It's Edric's frickin' canon. Hahaha. I'm pretty sure we'll see Morrigan in the future. And it will be sad if the Warden does not pop up even briefly.

And dealing with Morrigan and the OGB repercussions would certainly be less emotional if the character . If it doesn't really happen, it would be such a shame.

We could still try and sway the devs though. We could try. >_>

I am half expecting Bioware to simply kill the warden off in the Aug. 10th DLC and via power point slide, give the warden his last thoughts of his/her accomplishments and love interest.

Until Gaider comes in and calls us whiners and then goes on and on about how the Warden is just a tool and how Hawke is so awsome that he craps Double Complete Rainbows.

Good job, Giggles. Just when I was injecting some optimisim in the thread.

Oh wait. This is the Morrigan Thread.

I forgot everyone must abandon all hope here. XD

Anyway, since I love how Morrigan looks like in here:

True... true...

I'm sick of seeing everything in a .ppt slideshow. In ME2 we had emails and in Awakening we had letters and (bugged) epilogues. It seems that Bioware is taking the cheap way out when it comes to romances. *IF* they ever decide to do anything with the Warden/Morri situation, I'm betting it will be a silly .ppt slide.

Well, that's better than nothing? For me it is, then I'd just convert it into a fancomic to satiate my need . (But then if it doesn't end up to my liking I'm totally ignoring it.)

At this point a reunion through a .ppt slide would be like winning a lottery.

We could also have Morrigan come and say: "I have a kid at home and a lost wannabe husband who's wondering all over Thedas atm. So let's deal with this newest crysis quickly so I get back to family business."

@ximena

That rendition of Morrigan looks very much like the Sacred Ashes trailer. Perhaps my eyes deceive me.
===================

I'm in the process of making a Morrigan morph and I figured this might be a great forum to get some feedback on things to fix.

This is a Morrigan design that I wanted to get feedback on things to improve...to make it fit the lore of Dragon Age a bit better. I know that the "original" is a favorite but I wanted to do something a bit different. Let me know if you feel that there is anything I can do to improve it before I release it. I was looking for something on the lines of this..

I'm a sworn hater of any and all companion face morphs- so I'll preface what I'm about to say by mentioning that;)

First off, the eyes- I think Morrigan's eyes are her most defining feature and at least in that one shot, they don't look quite right.

And then the jawline, cheeks are off IMO. Its a problem I have with all morphs of Morrigan is that they give her a shallower face and scrunch up her chin/jawline. It may be more realistic, but IMO it makes the character look more like some generic supermodel and not an easily identifiable companion character.

To me at least, what makes Morrigan, Morrigan is her hairstyle, her eyes (shape and color)  and the overall oval, slightly rounded shape of her face/cheeks.

Just out of curiousity too, I see many modders of companion faces mention how they want to make a morph that better fits the lore of DA- what do you mean when you say that? What "lore" are you referring to that would sway you to make Morrigan the way you chose? I don't mean to sound like an ass, I'm just genuinely curious...

Post up some more screens too!:wizard:

Ah..so you are looking for something a bit more...subtle. Not a problem.

When I'm referring to "lore"..I'm talking more about something that would fit her personality. Something that fits the voice actor. Something that fits the complex personality of Morrigan.

I'm aware that there's guys that swear by the original Morrigan. And there's a lot that don't like it. But I'm trying to find something that's in between.

Because..I feel that the original design...can be improved..with guidance..

Very well..what about this one. This is a tweaked version of her. I changed the geometry to look a bit more realistic..This one is much more subtle in comparison to the rendition I posted earlier..

Oh man, thats actually really good.....BUT.... the eyes? It may seem nit picky, but the eyes seem too big maybe? And did you change the color of her eyes? I can't quite tell- they sort of look darker. To me, vanilla Morrigan's really narrow eyesjust fit her snarky, sarcastic character perfectly as does her bizarre eye color which hints at her more shapeshifter / apostate/ exotic side. Everything besides the eyes looks top notch, really. Coming from me, thats a compliment!:wizard:

Actually KnightofPhoneoix trumps him.

Any mod to Morrigan sets off a Divine March by him.
