Ahem, not since KoP admitted there were flaws that could be fixed by a mod. On this thread no less!

And he's just hiding his love for Zevran. Don't deny:P

LINK PLEASE!

Knight is the last person I would ever think to have said that. ever.

Also I would have changed Leliana, until I got a mod that fixed the lighting and removed weapons VFX so she looks better with them now. No mod can ever improve Leliana for me.

It was the lips that became too square sometimes IIRC,

Oui, still, given the fact that he is near-fanatical in his devotion to her, it is enough lol

Well now I have seen everything.

Its wierd though I think Morrigan is fairly attractive and so did one of my friends. However two other friends both went "damn she is ugly".

Good thing that Knight dosent live near Winnipeg or I may be short two friends.

I think it depends on the angle, sometimes her long face is too drawn out. I would compare it to Miranda from ME2.

Miranda looks like MJ, who stuffed volleyballs into her catsuit.

Yes her voice is good, but Tali and Jack are better overall.

To me at least.

I didn't like Tali just because she was kinda bland (in my opinion) and was more like a conquest that my Shepard would have before going back to Ashley or something. While I liked Miranda's voice, I loved Jack's romance and I will probably use that playthrough to carry over to ME3.

I gave up on Miranda after her whole bratty spiel through most of the game.

I gave up on Ashley after her little act on Horizon.

Tali trusted Shep, and was a friend first.

But that is another game, I just redid my last 2H run to get a sad ending since I finished Awakening I didnt need the save anymore:

I think that generally with companion faces they have to be exaggerated a bit otherwise they end up boring looking and generically "pretty." Thats the problem with most companion face morphs I think. Then again, you don't want to exaggerate any features too much or else they end up looking freakish.

I remember when BioWare released the "vanilla" Morrigan we all know today and people were crying bloody murder saying she looked too sexed up and people were moaning about Claudia Black's voice...

I mean, this is what Morrigan looked like only 5 months prior to the original March 09 release:

Versus this which was unveiled in February 09 with Claudia Black's voice:

But the lack of positive DA news has me doing desperate things....like playing Modern Warfare 2.... and *gulp* actually enjoying it for its mindless combat.....somebody help me, I think I'm turning into a BRO!:o

I play it too so dont worry Brock.
Sometimes it just fun to kick back relax and go frag happy. While in others DA is their for some depth.

Also this is just plain funny to most:

LOL - periodically I play MW1, but that tends to be the early levels of the game, which, IMO, are a lot better than the later ones, where it gets too be too Hollywood-esque for me.

MW2 is just like a Michael Bay movie- its pretty to look at and has nice production values, but its ultimately a shallow affair with an incomprehensible story.

Oh man, thats actually really good.....BUT.... the eyes? It may seem nit picky, but the eyes seem too big maybe? And did you change the color of her eyes? I can't quite tell- they sort of look darker. To me, vanilla Morrigan's really narrow eyesjust fit her snarky, sarcastic character perfectly as does her bizarre eye color which hints at her more shapeshifter / apostate/ exotic side. Everything besides the eyes looks top notch, really. Coming from me, thats a compliment!:wizard:

I see. For the most part, I believe the color of the eyes are about the same. I think the lighting was a bit dark.

http://img338.images...orrigannew2.jpg

I agree that the eyes may be a bit too large. But it's a tough call because that was actually one of the things that I sought to change.

Here's a couple things I changed:
================================

1. I was looking to fix the square lips of the lower lips of Morrigan. As people mentioned throughout the thread, Morrigan has sort of a blocky lower square lip. There is a workaround for this in the toolset and I made the fix without making drastic changes to her face...

Posted Image

2. i was looking to remove the tattoo that Morrigan has. When you look at the toolset, the original Morrigan has a tattoo of "uh_pmt_001_0t" channel 1 with a purple color. I believe Bioware made it this way to give a darker color around her eyes to give the illusion of makeup...because there was no textures at the time to emulate that effect. I actually went through and created an entirely new texture to mimic the effect but cleaned the edges so it looks more crisp.

Posted Image

3. I was looking to fix the proportions of Morrigan from the profile view. She just didn't seem very realistic from that view and I made the changes but kept her look from the front view. Specifically, I changed the structure of her nose and mouth and cheeks to make it look a bit more realistic.

http://img132.images...81/testing4.jpg

4. Finally, the eyes were changed a bit. I personally found them a tad bit too small so I made them a bit larger. Not sure if that ruined the design or not but it makes her slightly more attractive...

but I don't know. Ha ha. I'm beginning to think this might have been a waste of time. Generally, Morrigan morphs are very difficult because you want to make it different but not too different. It needs to be beyond tweaks but something that still looks very much like the original.

Making the character more realistic or more attractive as compared to the original design has an adverse affect of making the character lose its character...because flaws make a person as well. Weaknesses, imperfections, quirks and vices make a character more real and appealing. Flaws and imperfections give a character somewhere to go. So it is very tough because part of me wants to make her more attractive but another part of me wants to keep her personality intact. I think this is the best I can do but it might be one of those that ends up in the recycle bin..just as in the case when I tried to redesign Alistair.

Yeah, Morrigan morphs seem to often go waaaay far away from the vanilla Morrigan in the game most of the time. FWIW, I think you did a rather great job of keeping the sort of fundmentals on the unique aspects of Morrigan's face while making it slightly more realistic. But yeah, I like the vanilla eyes...just personal preference.... Job well done!:wizard:

That's how I believe it will go down.

DR was basically the beginning of Morrigan's story which goes way past Origins and the Warden. When we do see her again she will be as important as she was in DA:O, but the story will be hers and won't include the Warden.
Unless we get a "Search for Morri" DLC before the end of 2011, we can forget about having a reunion between her and the Warden on screen. In that case the best you're looking at is a powerpoint slide or 2 that tell you how Morri got reunited with her old lover after her story is done.

Oh boy,  a funeral is a happy place compared to the dark mood in these forum lately ^_^. But this theory got me thinking. First of all, i believe you're right. But they already said there will be future dlc for Origins and hinted they would even release more after DA 2 is released. Lets assume Morri and her story is part of DA 2 (in what kind of way is unimportant at the moment). Maybe they don't give us more info because they don't wanna spoil DA 2. Maybe thats also why they did not get closure yet. But after the events of DA 2, where Flemeth is dealt with (i believe that will happen in one way or the other) and maybe each player has had to deal with Morri just again, they can release the Morri closuse dlc for Origins? So everyone (love, haters and those indifferent alike) got a an incentive to buy and deal with her in a way they see fit. I believe this could be posssible...

As long as you just play the campaign, its over in a few hours (did it in short to 7 hours). And you're not turning into a bro. Now if you start playing online and for hours and hours.... thats a different story :P

Ah..so you are looking for something a bit more...subtle. Not a problem.

When
I'm referring to "lore"..I'm talking more about something that would
fit her personality. Something that fits the voice actor. Something that
fits the complex personality of Morrigan.

I'm aware that there's
guys that swear by the original Morrigan. And there's a lot that don't
like it. But I'm trying to find something that's in between.

Because..I feel that the original design...can be improved..with guidance..

Very
well..what about this one. This is a tweaked version of her. I changed
the geometry to look a bit more realistic..This one is much more subtle
in comparison to the rendition I posted earlier..

I am not against companions morph in general (i use some of them), though i agree most Morri looks just look awful. This one, on the other hand, is remarkable. Keeps her unique features intact more or less while altering her a little bit. I would love to use it if its available.

And talking about the general changes of faces in DA 2, the one thing i would love to see is Morris hair. But not in a bun, but just wild and free:whistle: Always confused me that someone living in the wild all her life, scouting the wilds as an animal tied her hair into a bun like a school head mistress :innocent: But maybe, or most possibly, thats just me craving to her with her hair without a bun. So, i spilled the beans, and i hope i don't have to return my Morri fanclub membership?

Anyway, apologies for such a long post, i had to catch up and well, it got somewhat out of hand

Hmm fellow rpg masters and morrigan fanatics. I am at an inpasse of gamechoice help me out here :P

I have 20 spare euros to waste on a game on steam. I have already gotten the dlc's i want for DAO but now the question remains wtf to do with the rest of the time waiting for the golem one...soo I have come to the conclusion that I must grab myself one of these two games: The Witcher enhanced edition or FEAR2.... I like shooting stuff, which I guess classifies me as a bro, but well Im on the fence on these two. According to metacritic the witcher is vastly superior but is the combat system worth my time?

Youre awesome opinions, which can only be awesome due to morrigan love :D , are requested!!!

Btw adneate is getting competition on best morri mod, is nice :D

Edit: Or dead space is also an option in the 20euro category, nice :D

Fear 2 is a very generic shooter.

With just plain BOOO! scary moments rather than the atmosphere in Part 1.

Witcher's Combat is a pain but since it carries over to part 2 then you should probably pick it up.

Just my 2 cents, but overall Fear 2 is not that outstanding of a shooter, for all its hype/

So, ahem, I am currently romancing Morrigan with my Mahariel. It's the first time I've seriously romanced her (as in put in thought into the relationship and why he would like her and why she would like him). Anyway, it's been amazing so far, especially since it's been a while since she's traveled with any of my PCs. I'd forgotten how much color she adds.

Also? She is awesome:
