As for using Morrigan, perhaps it means something.Perhaps not. Hmmm. More questions in the air.

Or they had to use a female body structure and Morrigans was the easiest to try and make look like it was not Morrigan.

Of course, the way Bioware likes to treat Morrigan fans, they very well could have wanted to troll us.

I wish I knew, I really wish I knew....

Who cares if we never have that Warden/Morrigan reunion when she's having cameos in EA games like MySims Skyheroes!? Maybe she'll show up in that Sims Medieval too? :pinched:

Looking closely at the Morriclone army. I think they just cloned her SA outfit. XD And the makeup. They don't have Morri's bangs.

Sims Medieval would almost make sense... but MySims Skyheroes???? WTF?

Of *course* Morrigan would be in this game. It seems like such an obvious match? Posted Image
assuming i've looked up the correct game, of course

Do these games have a similar target audience?

/facepalm

I was hoping for an expansion to take care of the Morrigan story, but a DAO expansion, not a SIMS one. lol

I like Flemeth's new look. She has pretty Morrigan eyes.
I wonder if dragon horns looking similar to qunari horns means anything or if horns are horns.
Beth back there is awesome, too. I like her dress/robe.
Hawke's outfit looks like Cailan's.
And I wonder if that blood streak that he marks across his nose is something lore-related, like the dwarven brand (that would thus be forced upon a character).

The characters in this game have a real uncanny valley quality to them, I mean new Flemeth somehow looks less realistic dispite the higher resolution everything. Also Bethany's cups runneth over and Hawke looks like he's wearing King Cailan pyjamas.

I know. But you can't really judge how you'll like a new art style on a few screen shots.

edit: I suppose the plus side (heh) to ridiculous cleavage is the fact it'll be less work for modders.:innocent:

Yeah, despite the higher resolution or poly or something on their faces, they really don't look better than before. But what do I know, I thought the Oblivion characters looked pretty bad even when Oblivion first came out, and they were supposed to be cutting edge or something.

Also Bethany's cups runneth over and Hawke looks like he's wearing King Cailan pyjamas.

Yeah, Oblivion is a nice looking game environment wise, but faces? They're messed up.

As far as DA2's faces go- I really want to see it in motion before I start really bashing the graphics. The textures on the screenshots from IGN today are atrocious, absolutely terrible.

Hah- yeah they clearly used Cailan's armor texture on what looks like a light armor or something. And Bethany's revealing outfit reminded me of this shot from The Witcher 2:

*ahem* But yeah, how about that Morrigan clone army? I'm tempted to PM Gaider or someone about it- but its doubtful they'd give a response- only if its not a plot point and just Blur laziness I guess...

It has to be just Blur recycling resources, there's no way they could play a Morri-clone army with a straight face. Although they played the Human Reaper in ME2 straight and I nearly died laughing, so maybe there is a Morri-clone army and Tis fighting an Army of Templar Carrol clones. Just seeing thousands of Morrigans marching in battle squares would be taking weird to the limit, anything after that would be easy to accept.

I sure hope so. A Morrigan clone army is astoundingly stupid. Its like "Hey lets borrow ideas from the Star Wars prequels! Everyone just LOVED those, right?"

Now if that MorriClone Army is actually a more diverse army full of various Witches of the Wilds or dragon cultists or something- thats cool. Just no copy/paste Morrigans, please.

I know it's completely off the current trend of discussion but I really wish I had read the original post before doing my "perfect" playthrough. I did every side-quest and made sure to get every piece of juicy dialogue and now I'm told that I'm stuck with friend-zone Morrigan? *pulls out hair*

You're on 360, right? If you're on PC you can get Terra_ex's Morrigan dialogue mod which fixes a boatload of Morrigan related dialogue problems and restores a bunch of cut content. But beyond that, the only way to get Morrigan back to "love" is either to not talk to her post DR (and miss out on the ring epilogue in Origins) or to save the mirror and give it to her in the post epilogue save at camp to get her back to "love" status.

But I guess all you'd be missing out is the epilogue for her in Awakening.

Then again, there are sooo many buggy epilogues and such in DAO that I really wonder (and fear) how the import process will go with DA2....

I fear it as well, I'm just very.. very.. disappointed. It's like running to the christmas tree and  there's no presents.

Thats exactly how I felt at the end of Awakening the 1st time. I kept going through the damn game expecting some reference to Morrigan or something at all. Then I get to the slides and figure, "Oh well at least there should be an epilogue slide about the Warden and Morrigan, right?" Nope- got the generic "Your Warden disappeared!" slide- good times....:(

And random Morrigan factoid of the day: Who needs any closure with Morrigan and the Warden? Bah! How is this for cross-marketing brilliance from EA? Morrigan will appear in MySims SkyHeroes! What the hell is the world coming to?

Damn it Brock!

You almost made me spill my coffee.

Personally I find this to be hillarious. They're adding both Shepard and Morrigan. Now we just need to add a romance between them and we're all set.

Due to my fasting, I'll try to resist the temptation of throwing insults at the mere mention of a shepard Morrigan romance.

Chill KoP.

I was just joking. Lord knows this thread could do with some humour after all the bleak stuff that goes in it. Otherwise we'll make funerals seems cheerful.
