Did anyone hear anything about Claudia Black involvement in this? They did a good job keep things quiet this time at least.

Maybe the Gaider moment is just that: another voice actress for Morrigan ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if they recored her lines already back when Origins was done. The whole "contrived" DR ending suddenly makes a lot of sense, economically speaking, and it seems they already had that dlc in mind when writing Origins and the DR. So i assume her lines are long done and they don't need to hire her anymore for a few extra lines

Is it truly her? If it is, then why has is she here and what secret does she carry with her?

Not a good sign when the description has bad grammar.

Since Bioware has confirmed that this is the last content that will be for Origins, it better be good, and it all but confirms that the flier from Awakening is going to be the garbage anime.

Edit - Watch Bioware screw up importing dog.  Probably just give us a new dog and if people want their old one, you just name it the same name.

I'm just going to try and savor this last dlc because after this, its all Hawke, varric, chest hair, and ponytails.

Yes, one sec on the link.

Yes, Witch Hunt is the final DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, and imo a great send off to an awesome game.

What happened to "2 years..."? Dragon Age 2. :)

Yeah... I really don't understand their DLC strategy with Origins. You have a full expansion pack and one huge loose end from Origins.....so you save resolution for the big plot thread for a $7 DLC announced with zero fanfare and leave the big retail expack for some totally unrelated story? Ok....

@MoSa: Yeah, take a look at Victor's first post or Priestly's posts about Witch Hunt and it says its the last DLC for Origins.:(

Thanks Alpha.

What happened to "We have a lot more in store for Origins"?. Anyway thats a good sign i suppose. If they really feel like closing that chapter, they have greater freedom to provide closure to her and the Warden's story. On the other hand, they're of course also free to kill the Warden now

This is what I think they will do.  Also, have Morrigan troll any Warden that romanced her with the "I just used you" line.

Yes, my expectations are that low.

As someone once said 'I have a bad feeling about this' - as far as The Warden goes

I thought of that scene in X-Men 3 where Cyclops confronts Jean Grey....and ends up dead

Pleased to see the DLC though

They seem more excited about DA2 since they have a better focus on their graphics and marketing. I hope they run a tighter ship from that point on. I don't mind that this is the last DLC, but I wish I had known that my warden was an one-shot character because I would have made different choices in my canon game. I thought there would be dire consequences, but it really does sound like any saved games I import into DA2 is nothing more than Mad Libs in which they will just insert the names of the dwarven and human royalties here and there.

I'm apprehensive because bioware mentioned that they were going to release dlc for origins up until DA2's release date. I just hope that with a lot of their resources going into DA2 that this dlc won't be a ****ty end to one of the biggest plot threads in origins. And finally, I'm reallying praying its not a straight shot to the balls courtesy of Gaider.

Farewell dear Warden Posted Image

It is not going to be sunshine and lollipops, no happy reunion I imagine.

I just hope The Warden can walk away in the end and not fall at Morrigan's hands

I don't see the Warden dying guys.... She was trying to convince you to do the DR so you can live. It would be incredibly lame if you end up dying anyway.

The whole "Never follow" and "more than you bargained" along with Morrigan's (possible)presence in DA2 leads me to believe that it would end up with a final confrontation where she leaves and disappears yet again... :/

I guess it's better than having the Warden endlessly looking all over Thedas only to never find her. Then again, interrogating her and getting answers from her is something that I feel was stripped from the DR scene and not something that should be added into the game a year later AND with extra cost.

Damn you Bioware for milking us... :(

So Morrigan stole an ancient elven artifact for Urthemiel? I'm going to take this as a confirmation for the Elven/Tevinter connection.  Posted Image

What the hell is she up to? Even after Flemeth's betrayal she still wants to go through with her mother's plan.

Actually, that would be the lousiest thing i can imagine. I not fond of him dying, on the contrary, but her just leaving again just like she did in Origins, but this time once and for all? How cheap would that be!!!! Seriously BW, anything else than that

I don't think it will end badly.

We already had her leaving us in Origins. Having her do so again wouldn't even be sad or shocking. It would be downright annoying.

I just hope there is a chance for a good ending this time around.

Right now I can't express how excited I am. September 7th cannot come soon enough.

I PM'd Gaider and asked a couple questions about the DLC- Here is the whole deal:

Super duper excited and a bit worried about the Morrigan DLC, but just a quick question. Were you the writer for the Morrigan DLC? I'd just hate to have her seem all out of character like Wynne and Alistair flirting  in Return to Ostagar.

And will it REALLY answer all Morrigan related questions? Old God Baby included?

Looking forward to some quality closure for the Morrigan romance, and hopefully no writer borne cruelty!

Thanks,
Brockololly

I wrote Morrigan's part in that DLC, yes. Sheryl wrote the rest of it.

I don't think anything says it answers ALL questions. That would be a silly expectation.

Dave

The splash page on the Social home page for Witch Hunt says: "All your Morrigan questions answered!" http://i35.tinypic.com/wh06d3.jpg

Sooo, perhaps Morrigan fans should ratchet down our expectations that everything Morri related gets dealt with in the DLC?

Many thanks!

Brockololly

That's what it says, huh? Super.

Expectation management time, I presume?

Looking forward to it nevertheless and hopefully its a fitting  closure for the Warden/Morri romance with limited wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Thanks again.

I think we'll just change the wording. Closure is the goal, here-- not answering ALL your questions. :)

Dave

As long as they do, in a meaningful way, i am happy and i will be looking forward to play as Mike Hawke. Or rather Marian Hawke

What about the flag importation? Come on Brock! Why didn't you ask him? This thread is 297 pages long because of that.

Can you image all of us importing the modded one from Terra's mod only to end up with the previous one and get the wrong response? :/

if this is what is meant by "Morrigan fans will no be disappointed'' then i have a little bit of hope tho

but somehow i think it was meant for DA2

i am excited about this and worried at the same time, all questions answered ??? ,Morri isn't a party member? i have my doubts about this....

i'm guessing we'll find out soon enough

Right- So at least we can be sure that Gaider wrote Morrigan again for this DLC and Chee wrote the rest.  As for closure, I really hope we get some, even if not ALL of the Morrigan questions get answered. If its a solid, good DLC then I can go into DA2 a little less worried about the story being massacred, but still. It seems the OGB won't be much to do in this DLC- or at least it seems Morrigan shapes up real fast after having a baby....:wizard:

So if its about the ancient elves and Arlathan, that might connect with the Old Gods possibly? Or immortality and Flemeth perhaps?

Like Shiori said, I just hope that whatever closure we get is meaningful and that we can have the opportunity for a happy ending. If its yet another gimped role playing scenario like the DR where you're railroaded into breaking of the relationship or anything like that, that will be a disaster.

But as of now, I guess we should be happy we're getting something Morrigan related. Even if I would have rather this been part of DA2 with the Warden returning as the PC or one last expack with the Warden and other companions.
