They seem more excited about DA2 since they have a better focus on their graphics and marketing. I hope they run a tighter ship from that point on. I don't mind that this is the last DLC, but I wish I had known that my warden was an one-shot character because I would have made different choices in my canon game. I thought there would be dire consequences, but it really does sound like any saved games I import into DA2 is nothing more than Mad Libs in which they will just insert the names of the dwarven and human royalties here and there.

Well said.  It also does not increase my already wan interest in the Hawke character to know that he is likely to be as much a throwaway as the Warden.

I don't have high hopes for this DLC.  Nothing that has been done in terms of story continuity has made much sense since Origins, and the signals here ("lone Warden" meaning no returning NPCs, "back in Ferelden" meaning recycled areas, one year passage meaning no real consequences to the DR) tell me that this will be a cheap effort.  I hope I'm proved wrong, but it seems to me that the business side of the franchise is overtaking the creative side and I don't like what it's doing.

What about the flag importation? Come on Brock! Why didn't you ask him? This thread is 297 pages long because of that.

Can you image all of us importing the modded one from Terra's mod only to end up with the previous one and get the wrong response? :/

I will go into  Beserker Brockololly Rage if the flags are botched- seriously. If its like Awakening all over again, where I'm expecting one little slide to reference Morrigan only to get "HE DISAPPEARED!" that sucks.

But I don't think Gaider is the one to ask about flags- at least when I asked before he isn't on the technical side of things anyways.

Lets hope Terra's mod doesn't goof anything up!

As someone once said 'I have a bad feeling about this' - as far as The Warden goes

I thought of that scene in X-Men 3 where Cyclops confronts Jean Grey....and ends up dead

Pleased to see the DLC though

lol. We morriholics are an apprehensive bunch! That's because we care and want a good game!

From the Witch Hunt announcement thread- Gaider sticking up for Morrigan romancing Wardens not getting any closure!? WHAT!?:o

It just feels like this is the conclusion the story of men who romanced Morrigan.

Consider this:

If you're looking on this only from the romance perspective, out of all  the romances in Dragon Age Morrigan's is the only one you never get any personal closure on. Not even a little bit. I understand wanting more from Alistair, Zevran and Leliana but you do at least get something from them... whereas from Morrigan you get nothing (albeit for very good reasons).

So for those men who romanced Morrigan, you might want to cut them some slack.

That said, that's not the only reason to do this DLC-- I would think many  people would be curious as to what the future holds regarding Morrigan.  And, yes, it takes all the various ending states of Origins into  account. And, yes, in case anyone's wondering I wrote the Morrigan  part.

OH-HO! YES! OH YES!

First thing's first; new Dragon Age Witch-Wooin' playthrough. (Anyone know if you can replay a Warden on the Xbox? I have to ask)

Second thing; start to make wild speculations.

Third; get some dad-danged Microsoft Points for both this and Lair Of The Shadow Broker.

Fourth; try and do some Warden/Morrigan artwork.

Five; prepare self for the option of the Warden being able to kill Morrigan and her child and the sure-to-follow storm of jerks talking about how much they loved it.

And lastly; do you think our child will be a boy or a girl?

But as of now, I guess we should be happy we're getting something Morrigan related. Even if I would have rather this been part of DA2 with the Warden returning as the PC or one last expack with the Warden and other companions.

The biggest issue i have is closure can have pretty different meanings to different people. And i did not even talked about satisfying closure. But if they provide a good closure, with an ending that give both Morri and the Warden the opportunity to continue their relationship in a way that fits them both, i am fine happy and won't object its just a rather short dlc.

Of course, i also wonder about the content. The first three screens show her face (surprise, as its about her) and the other two fighting. I do wonder if you meet her right at the start, somewhere in between, or just before the end to have one final conversation. And will she be a party member, a npc like the soldiers and Origins and never take poart in the fights at all.

Is there an option for her to have a child with her, or at least talk about that. And as Blade said, what about the bug...

questions, questions...

I'm going to take a break from this forum starting next week until Witch Hunt is out and I finish it. Don't want to expose myself to any more speculation. Want to savor the DLC for what it is. See you guys soon after the release.. Thanks to the Morrigan Nation. Jarl out. Thank you Bioware! I'm a faithful customer who will put in a good work for all things DA. :D

Either my language is failing me, or he was just telling those guys who wanted to have an Alistair/Zevran/Leliana dlc that the Morrimancers deserved some personal closure and admitted that the game itself provided none. He never did that before and already denied such requests by saying we're not entitled to get closure.

Call me mad, but i'll take this as a good omen we might, we just might, get something good out of this

You know, could Morrigan still be pregnant? I mean, none of the DLC screenshots that have been released have shown Morrigan below the clavacle. And the description says "nearly a year" would, if you rounded up a bit, could put us at the tail-end of the pregnancy, potentially.

Could there be some classic drama-moment where there's a delivery at the most innopportune of times?

Maybe he meant with that
there is no closure on the romance part but only on the DR or something like that just guessing here
since he said there would never be a personal closure:huh:

As far as i understood, he said:

2. I understand wanting more from Alistair, Zevran and Leliana but you do at least get something from them

Do sound like he's making the case for this dlc as the Morrimancers deserve to get some personal closure as well as they never get one til now. Also of course implying the new dlc will provide this personal closure

i've ben thinking about this  for a while now and  found a possibility why she left in the first place..
Morrigan Dies while giving birth of the god  child, its due to  doing the DR :huh:(hope i'm wrong here)
was thinking of it again while reading your post.

getting that cup ready just to be sure

I just now heard about the Morrigan expansion and got caught up on this thread (but not the announcement one yet). Congrats, guys and gals! Despite my best efforts, my expectations for this thing are pretty high. Still, it couldn't have been easy to write, and no matter what is written, it is never going to please everyone.

I doubt it- heck, if you look at the screenshot it looks as if she is in her usual revealing robes, would she still be strutting around in those 9 months preganant?

I pick Morrigan first, for two reasons.

1. While i love Liara and i am excited about the reunion, Morrigan still owns the nr. one spot.

2. Lair of the Shadoe Broker is confirmed to provide romance continuation. So if the unspeakable happens and i am greatly disappointed after Witch Hunt, i have something else to direct my attention to that i know will provide a happier and satisfying ending.
