You can use the console to set the romance to active.
Open the console and type:
"runscript zz_app_debug"
Find Morrigan and set the romance to active. That's how I got my Warden ready for Awakening. Be sure to back up your save before doing this!
Awesome! Will keep that in mind. But that only works for Origins and not Awakening, right? I'd like to import my Awakening Wardens, but I'm not sure besides level if that will make much of a difference...would Morrigan reference anything from Awakening?

As for 360/PS3 users you can import a save right before you get that dreaded speech that kills the romance flag...
The game reads it just fine. You will only miss the XP from the final battle.
'Twould be alot easier if we can get a dev to confirm which flag will actually work, though.
Well, thinking of all possible contingencies after the bug was identified, I actually have a save just before opening the door to the meet the AD. In the current save, my canon Warden spoke to Morrigan just after that save. All I have to do is replay from that save and not speak with her, open the door, kill the AD, then import directly from Origins into the DLC.

Seriously, what's this romance bug I'm hearing about? I play console, and thus cannot take advantage of any toolset, is there something I need to keep in mind? I want my Witchmance...
Its the whole reason this thread started, really.
Basically, in Origins if you talk to Morrigan after the Ritual after everyone says their goodbyes at the Gates of Denerim, MOrrigan essentially breaks up with you and her relationship status switches from "love" to "friendly." Now if you want to get the epilogue slide in Origins where it says MOrrigan felt sorrow and regret through the ring, you have to speak with her that one last time. But if you import that saved game into Awakening, it treats your Warden as if they did not romance Morrigan at all, and as such, you do not get the "searching for Morrigan" epilogue slide at the end of Awakening. So the only way to get that slide in Awakening is to not talk with Morrigan one last time in Origins but then you miss out on the sorrow and regret epilogue.
Got it?

For those wishing to use console commands to restart her romance, you could also download this mod and use the item "love potion no. 9" to set her romance flag to active. You know, in case the console gives you a headache...

that should be the easiest way?

It would be the easiest way to restart her romance if it has been cut off by talking to her before confronting the Archdemon. No need to spawn mirrors or access the console. Just give her the potion and her romance flag will once again be set to active (and if her approval was already high enough it should be set at "love").
Not that the console command is hard or anything, but I know some people really hate fiddling around with the console.

Hmmm... do Arl Foreshadow's notes perhaps make more sense now?
Books to pursue for future endeavors.
Lost countenance: Ferelden to Orlesian Phrase Book
-Must not offend the potential landlords
Seems clear this was the Orlesian Warden in Awakening.
Raising Spirits: Offsprings and the Fade
-Terrible two's indeed!
This one is still sketchy, I think. Is it the Old God Baby? For a while we thought the "Terrible Two's" referred to DA2. Or does this refer to the Children and Justice from Awakening (offspring , spirits)?
Forest Fall: Truth and Legend in the Search for Arlathan
-Survivors? poppycock!
Would seem that with the ELven focus of whatever Morrigan is doing, this fits in with Witch Hunt. Hmmm...is Morrigan perhaps searching for some Elven relic to unlock their secret for immortality such that she can become immortal herself? Or is Flemeth or Morrigan somehow related to Arlathan's secrets? Is Morrigan elf blooded?

Thanks for that!!
@ Brock: She could be almost anything. Its not that unlikely that Flemeth is not her real mother, which leaves it open for her real partents to be almost anyone. For the sake of it, Flemeth might just even created her by some magical means.
I said it earlier, in the Stolen Throne, Maric and Loghain are captured by a dalish clan and brought to Flemeth by them. So its not unlikely Flemeth power and Morrigans interest has something to do with ancient elven magic.
Of course, its also possible that Flemeth took her child from them, maybe a bastard child one dalish conceived with a human and did not wanna raise herself. Or a child she conceived with one of the dalish hunters?

Thats what I'm thinking maybe...or she's trying to find something to match FLemeth's power? Like some sort of Arlathan Elven immortality spell thing? *shrugs*

I suppose if Morrigan is elf blooded, that may explain some of her more exotic looks? I'm excited for this DLC- I just hope it won't be bogged down with technical or import issues or that we end up Gaider'd.... I'm hoping for a decent ending to all this, but time will tell....

if it is then it sure would explain why she is seaching for some Elven artifact what remaining question would be why now? and what could it be used for,
i doubt Morri is searching for it to become immortal, or maybe she needs it to finish off Flemeth once and for all

I guess so too. Maybe she knows her mother had some ancient elven secrets, and now after Flemeth is gone and playing games with Hawke one year after the archdemon, she considers it save to return there and have a look and try to unravel her mothers final secrets. Maybe just for the sake to be better prepared to fight her, should the need be.
Maybe she is as curious about her heratiage as we, and despite her claims there is nothing her real paretns could give her, she is out there trying to find out who the real Morrigan is, who her parents where and what to make out of her after being Flemeth daughter, the thing that shaped her life til now, she can no longer be.

i guess it will be something like that,
heck she even tells the warden that she expect that Flemeth will come after her,
so she must find something to defend herself with.
And now i am thinking that might exactly be what this artifact is.
it either makes her more powerfull or it is something that will weaken Flemeths power in some way
While wring this i am almost suer there will be some final confrontation between Morrigan and Flemeth in DA2
and maybe it is because she does not want to continue Flemeths plans anymore.
it could even be that her first lead to find this artefact was to go to Orlais,
