Well its pretty clear this DLC is the end of the road for the Warden. http://social.biowar...066/23#4573068' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'> But Morrigan?

Wait.....they are making DLC for Morrigan.......doesn't this basically just mean they are jipping her story in order to move on?

Who says that Morrigan's story ends with the DLC?

This may sound weird (and girly), but because I based my canon PC on myself, I would feel...uneasy (jealous) if my other PCs romanced her.

Hmmm.... apply this logic to the Leliana romance and you have described me.

Here I thought I was the only one weird like that. *high fives KoP* :wizard:

Actually my weirdness goes further. I created an AU version of my original HNF character where she was a mage (I used the toolset to plant her original face on the new character), just so I wouldn't feel uneasy when romancing Leli...

Then I went further and created and elf version of her... I better stop since it just gets weirder and weirder after that.

To keep this post on topic, here's Morrigan's happy face when you tell her you killed Flemeth:

I think that was fairly obvious to be honest. There's no way her story ends here.

Anyone know if we can import our GoA saves?

i think only origins and awakening

I guess we'll have to wait and find out. Have saves of both. Let your GOA be primary and Awakening be secondary. That's my layman advice anyway.

I'm actually pretty depressed that this is the last we'll see of the warden, to me it seems like this dlc will give us some closure while clearing morrigan for any future involvement in the dragon age franchise, be that in DA2 or 3 if and when they decide to do it. I just hope its a good send off for the warden because after this its Hawke time...ugh

Ok people, what do you think Morrigan's very first reaction to seeing the Warden in the DLC would be like?

Would it be something like:
"Oh, Warden. I miss you so much".
Or "You? Didn't I tell you not to follow me?!" (most likely scenario)
Or "So predictable. I knew you would come." (creepy scenario).

As long as the Warden doesn't die (in an idiotic fashion at least), I am satisfied. I have his story as Prince Consort all written in my head.

Somehow, I think she'll go with "I knew you would come." since they're in Ferelden and The Warden's home is Ferelden. She should expect to see the warden somehow once she returns to Ferelden.

I'm almost positive it will be the second one. She is very clear in her desire not to be followed (the VO notes in the toolset confirm this) so I don't think she'll go all happy when she sees our Warden.

I'm now curious as to the IU reason of why she came back to Ferelden. OOU it's kinda obvious - recycling assets. Warden romance leads to one possibility, but then there also has to be something for the non romance Wardens. Also, there's the child. OGB? Non-DR romance child? This is apparently one year after the Battle of Denerim. Long enough for the little one to plop out.

To quote a certain someone, "this should be... interesting."

I don't know whether she'll be surprised to see the Warden or not. After all, she said she was leaving Ferelden forever and you would never see her again. Oops. I'm guessing the reaction would hopefully be different depending on your prior relationship with her, but maybe thats expecting too much? Certainly her reactino upon seeing her love and father of her child would be different than seeing a Wardeen who dumped her at Lothering and turned down the DR.

I'm curious if this DLC will actually have some meaningful RP and choices. I'd just hate it if it gets railroaded into a one size fits all ending. The production values and quality on this need to be top notch.

However this ends up, I'll be sad once its over. 'Twas a good ride while it lasted, I suppose. :crying:

It would definitely promote a "one-size-fits-all" DLC...

That "one fits all" which I'm thinking we're going to get is going to be a very cheap (and probably harsh) reminder of the notion that Warden-Morrigan ended with the DR. It'll be even worse if they totally ruin her character and refuse to even give it a mention.

I'd like to know if Morrigan is to be a controllable character, if she's (gameplay mechanics wise) going to be the same Morrigan in Origins (ie, build and equipment). I might need to make notes and use one of those reset tomes on her otherwise...

You're a Morrigan fan- its perfectly natural to temper any expectations with dread fear of Gaider and Chee wielding the all powerful Plot Hammer of Doom!

Given some of Gaider's comments earlier today, I hope we can get a relatively happy ending out of all this- or at least the chance for a happy ending. None of this "bittersweet" dark fantasy rubbish.

Basically if this ends well, I'll be likely to get on board with DA2, story wise at least. But if this is a half assed effort to grab some Morri fan cash or if its just not well done, not only as a conclusion for Morrigan and the Warden, but the Warden's story in general, I'll be very very skeptical towards not just DA2, but DA and BioWare in general.

They're already going back on their supposed 2 years of DLC for Origins by skimping that down to not even one year, all because of DA2. That stinks of EA or at least orders from on high of wanting them to churn out more product while neglecting support of their past products, like the abyssmal patch situation with 1.03.

I hope its good and all, as I've been waiting for some closure since I beat DAO last November. Here is to hoping that Gaider and Chee and the rest at BioWare don't let us Morrigan and Warden fans down!:)

Hey, just wondering:

There is supposedly obvious speculation to the Warden's fate in the DA franchise after "Witch Hunt", but is there actual confirmation from a dev anywhere that tells us that the Warden will not appear in future DA sequels?

I want to know so I can either anticipate future Warden involvement or give my final goodbyes to my Wardens when DA2 comes out...

If you check out the screens, it looks like your party consists of Dog, a human male mage and the Dalish archer. So unless one of them bites the dust, I'm not so sure Morrigan returns as a companion. Which totally sucks, but what can you do?

My guess is that she will either be an NPC that maybe you run across a couple times in the DLC as she maybe tries to evade you to avoid divulging her plan or maybe you spend most of your time searching for her, only to find her at the very end and get everything dealt with there in a cutscene....

I'm wondering what the items we'll import back to Origins and Awakening are going to be? Not that it matters, I'll be too bummed out and sad to play Origins for a while after this I think. Probably like how I was seriously sad after finishing ToB with the Jaheira romance- its sadness, but like the good sort of sad- you're sad to see the story end and wrap up but hopefully it ends on a good note and not one where we're tearing out our hair after having been Gaider'd. But rather the sort of ending where you can kind of take a deep breath and breath a sigh of contented relief and be a bit sad that this story is over but be satisified with its conclusion such that you look forward to the next.

We shall see!:wizard:

I personally don't mind bittersweet, as long as it's done well. I am mostly afraid that they will make a fit all Morrigan who will not be the same as the Morrigan we loved in Origins, and afraid taht they might kill off the Warden in an idiotic fashion just to pave the way for Hawke. But good news is that Gaider is the one writing the Morrigan parts, so I suspect we won't get bs like RtO or DSC.

Its doubtful you'll hear any chatter from the devs about DA3 and beyond. But all Gaider and the devs have said is that DA2 is not the Warden's story- so its a good bet this DLC may very well be it for the Warden forever. The only other hope would be maybe a cameo in DA2 which is unlikely, or perhaps the Warden returns in DA3? Possible, but probably unlikely given how it seems BioWare is enamoured with voicing all their PC's now.

So I'd treat this DLC as a goodbye to your Warden.:crying:

Yeah, I trust in Gaider on this one I suppose. If anything goes awry- blame Gaider!

This is not going to end well for most of my wardens....

However Everd can see Morri again!

Cant play DA since I FUBARED it on a mod, and have to reinstall it!

While the CD key is two provinces away...

If its good I cant wait to see it, but I am really hoping that it dosent end with Morri toasting the warden, or both getting some dumb death just so that Hawke gets the stage alone.

I may regret saying this, but I trust Gaider not to screw over the Morrigan romancers or Morrigan herself by going the route of some goofy death. Hopefully.

That said, I'm guessing there will be a trailer for this DLC sometime between now and launch in about 12 days? I'm guessing since PAX is September 3-5, maybe they even talk up the DLC a bit more there?

Thanks for sharing your opinion, at least. I haven't expected the Warden at all in DA2, and if the answer to my question spoils DA3 stories or otherwise I can accept that and treat it as a false hope, but yeah, I guess I won't be fully satisfied unless I knew for sure...

I mean, if the Warden returned in a future DA title, with voice, they could cast one Voice Actor per male/female version of each race. It would ****** off a lot of people, sure, but for those who want to play as the Warden it would still suffice...

Anyway I'm hoping maybe my answer lies in clues given in "Witch Hunt" :?

Its been a year, so the kid will be born by that time.

Hopefully its not some evil thing, but then again its only an hour long, and I dont think that is enough time to delve into the realm of divine metaphysics.
