I can see this DLC providing closure and I have enough faith that I won't be disappointed in the ending. I don't see much of a "happy" ending though. But I will go with satisfying. If nothing else, I think this conclusion is one of the few things they had worked out back from the beginning compared to any of the other standalone DLC packages. That alone makes me think we'll have a crowning moment of awesomeness to wrap things up.
There are a lot of ways to get a "happy" ending. Not all of them consist of settling down in a white cotage with your lover and raising your children.
Just because we had a tragic ending to our romance with Morrigan in Origins doesn't mean that history needs to repeat itself again in Witch Hunt.
Having the Warden and Morrigan renew their relationship and then go their separate ways only to come back together every once in a while would be quite a happy ending for me but also a really easy one to pull off.
We already had Morrigan break off the relationship, so apart from her or the Warden dying in Witch Hunt (which I don't see happening since Morrigan is confirmed to play an important role in future DA game and killing the Warden would cause a major uproar among those who romanced Alistair, Leliana and Zevran and got their happy endings in Origins).
Maybe I'm being overly optimistic here, but Laidlaw said Morrigan fans will be happy with what's in store so I'll take that as meaning we won't get hit by another tragedy.
After all, nowhere is it written that Morrigan cannot have some good things in her life.

Compared to the other DLC it was quite pleasant was it top quality stuff. I don't know that is up for debate, but if you compare it to it's competition. I think it is easily the best DLC so far. Not counting the Stone Prisoner.
Considering how the other DLC were ****, then it's not that much of an achievement really.
That was kind of my point
As for the DLC...
I'm concerened that 85% of it will be with us searching
some random ruin with companions we have no attachment to well except
our faithful warhound which no offense to the dog lovers, but he is the
last companion from Origins I would want in a DLC. I wonder who the two other companions will be. I think everyone is assuming one of them is Dog. The other? My bet would be that Mage in the screenshots since a lot of people complained about GoA not having a true mage unless it was the PC. Maybe he is a mage sent by the Wardens or Circle to investigate Morrigan, and the type of magic she has knowledge of. I can certainly see the mages being eager to regain that Grimoire, or the Wardens being interested on the mechanics of the Dark Ritual.
I hope Morrigan gets a huge role in this since she is the star of it. I don't want to spend one hour running around the ruins with 2 strangers and my dog. To get a short 5-10 minute dialogue break with Morrigan before the climax only to be left scratching my head again. I am still going to hope that since this is the last DLC for Origins they knock this one out of the ball park and remind us that they are still the same company that created Origins.
I'm also intrigued by the fact Hawke gets a Elven Artifact from Flemeth to give to the Dalish. I assume this is the same Artifact stolen from the Dalish in Witch Hunt. Really gives me the whole idea either Flemeth and Morrigan are on the same page, or Flemeth anticipated Morrigan betraying her, and that artifact is going to really damage Morrigan's plans. They could really put some salt in the wound and shove DA2 down our throat even more if lets say; That artifact changes Morrigan's appearance(maybe makes her older or ugly) would give them justification for retconning her look.

Is it me or does the 1st screen look almost identical to the phylactery room from the Mage's tower? Is that just another case of recycled environment? I really hope this isn't some dungeon crawl DLC with a 5 minute Morrigan cutscene at the end- that would ****** me off.

Exactly. This DLC should be about Morrigan and the Warden. Like I said above, it better not be 90% dungeon grind with a couple of nobodies.

That would suck, but I can totally see them doing something nasty like that or throwing some wrnech in there with some sort of unintended consequence of the DR. Will BioWare do something nasty like that though? I'm all for a little drama, but if they're going to pull the surprise card on us, have it be early enough in the DLC such that we can do something about it and not just get railoaded by the Plot Hammer of Doom.
Honestly, at this point most everyone is sort of expecting some tragic or terrible ending for Morrigan or the Warden here. If it happened, us Morrigan fans probably wouldn't be surprised since we've been so beaten down with the crummy DR ending. Ideally, maybe there is one possible terrible ending with Morrigan in this DLC- but alos have the possibility of a good happy ending too- people aren't expecting that.

I've played the mage origin enough times to recognize it anywhere. That's it alright. Is it me or does the 1st screen look almost identical to the phylactery room from the Mage's tower? Hmm Dalish Elf and a human mage (if I'm seeing the ears right). I am very much not interested.
And wtf is that dragon?

Yes, it's the philactery chamber from Mage origin.
Don't be surprised that Bioware is recycling old location for their DLC. They've done it with Leliana's Song and Golems of Angarrak as well. It simply saves time and money.
What I'm wondering is who those helmed warriors in the screenshots are? Templars? Members of some kind of a cult? They look too uniformed to be Wardens...
Hmm, could it be that Morri created some kind of a mess in Orlais so the chivaliers are hunting her down? Might explain why she came back to Ferelden.

So either we take a trip to the mage's tower or they're just blatantly recycling environments again. NOw it would be a good deal more interesting if we actually did some travelling in this DLC- maybe it will be the greatest $7 DLC ever?
I've got to dampen those hopes, lest I be horribly disappointed....

That would be interesting. I'm wondering if maybe though they're just sort of possessed suits of armor like you had in the mage Origin though too. Not as interesting as Chevaliers but there you go....

How would Chevaliers make it all the way to the Brecilian Forest? Seems like pretty deep into territory where they are most definitely not wanted (by Dalish and Fereldans alike.)

They could ask permission to enter Ferelden and chase down a fugitive. Or they could get in disguised as mercenaries.
Leliana said that Orlasians don't care about borders when it comes to hunting people down.
