Being a Morrigan fan, he's just used to it as doom and gloom was all we got so far. Its just hard to escape and ignore former experiences and disappointments

Ok, just got word back from David Gaider.

To be honest I can't believe anyone really doubted this would be the case. It wouldn't been way too stupid to have someone else voice her.

Mr. Gaider is the writer. Only go after him if he screws up the story, which so far he hasn´t (changing main character in 2 if his idea is an odd choice, but let´s see how it plays). Scenery goes to others.
I also think DA2 swept away another expansion from Origins. What´s the hurry? All that eagerness to sell DA2 has backfired a lot so far.
I'm aware of that, however I can't remember where (somewhere on these forums), it was said that Gaider himself is writing for this DLC..so I have some good expectations for the story and if it's all action...then the story has sort of gone down the hole.
That and I was joking.
By the way, why doesn't this just become the Morrigan Appreciation thread? Every other character has one apart from Morrigan..<_<

Unless my eyes deceive me, it's it the discussion and research thread.

Yes, but it has already turned into an appreciation thread.
The original Zev thread (not the one going on around, the one that got locked) didn't start as an appreciation thread but eventually became one. Threads sort of degenerate into random things through their lifetime.
There's no point in renaming this thread as an appreciation thread because that's how everyone treats it. Of course you could ask Brockololly to change the name.

David Gaider is writing Morrigan herself, while Sheryl Chee is writing the rest of the Witch Hunt.

There is no need to bother Brockololly with such as small trivial thing, I was just under the wrong assumption that people didn't treat this as a Morrigan Appreciation thread, however I'm now stand corrected. You'll have to bear with me a bit, I've had this account for a long time but this is first time I'm actually posting on the forums.

Ah yes, that's what I heard, thanks for correcting me on that. I also think it's a good thing, Gaider is best suited on developing the characters rather than the whole story..I just hope there will actually be stuff for him to write in the DLC.

No problem. It can get confusing in here for a newcomer, no doubt about that.

well, you could easily recognize the dialogue he has written "at any rate"
I think (and hope he spent most of his time devoted to Morrigan). As the other two are just walking weapons i assume, and dogs in general do not speak that much, i hope he put all his effort and ideas into keeping Morrigans character in line and come up with a satisfying and rewarding story as well as good closure to the story instead of some cheap ending like last time

Thanks alot, I was thinking, seeing as this is an appreciation thread of sorts and there doesn't seem to be any signatures for Morrigan around, I thought I would make some. Unfortunately, catchphrases aren't my strong point, so if anyone has any suggestions tell me and I'll whip something up.
These are two I did very quickly, feel free to use them.

They are both 400x25 btw, even if the Morrigan Forever one looks bigger for some reason (no idea why).

I second that. I want the focus to be on the Warden and Morrigan and wrapping up their story as well as the tale of the Warden. After all this is the last DLC for Origins, which makes me question how much they plan to do with a $7 (£5) DLC. The other two companions I don't give a damn about, I probably won't even speak to them really. And the dog I'm not too bothered about...
But with all this take about it being Action-orientated and only talking to Morrigan at the end has me worried.

Crisis averted! After the absurdity of stuff like Feasttday gifts and Darkspawn Chronicles, one can never be too sure. I'm guessing Gaider didn't say when she recorded the lines? I'm curious if she did it back when they were still doing Origins or if they brought her back more recently. Also wondering how long they've been working on Witch Hunt...

Yeah, this thread just started to point out the Morrigan romance epilogue bug in Awakening and sort of morphed over time. And the majority of Morrigan fans are far too sophisticated to just call it an "appreciation" thread, like KoP mentioned:wizard: *adjusts top hat and monocle while sipping fine champagne and signaling to butler*

Awesome! Nice work!

On the topic of Witch Hunt, provided that we're actually moving around
Ferelden in search of Morrigan and they aren't just reusing old areas, what would be the reasons for going back to:
The Mage Tower? - Maybe you go there to chat up the templars to find out if they've heard about Morrigan? And maybe thats where you pick up the mage guy?
Dragon Bone Wastes/ Drake's Fall: From the screens it looks like maybe we go to Drake's Fall. Thats a graveyard for dragons basically from the time of the Tevinter Imperium. What I'm wondering is that in Awakening you find the Vestements of Urthemiel there, robes worn by a worshipper of Urthemiel....Is that just coincidence?
Ugh...I wish we'd get some news about Witch Hunt....surely I can't be the only one refreshing the Witch Hunt page whenever I go on to internet?
