About DR, considering Morrigan´s personality, she would probably try to enjoy it. Only situation I can see her doing it fast is with Alistair if he was in a relationship with a female PC friends with Morrigan. I think she would respect her enough for that.

Viconia... along with Aribeth must be one of the endings I hate most. If she keeps evil she is full Karma Houdini, if she gets redeemed we got that. Wouldn´t surprise me today, forced downer endings and pesimistic storylines just for the sake of it are way too common, but in other games I played from those years things weren´t that bad.

Another little curious thing- I was skimming through the toolset and looking through some of Morrigan's dialogue. You've got her discussion on love and the Warden's relationship with her and where its headed when you have this exchange:

============================================================
Warden: I just want to know where this is going.

Morrigan: An odd question, is it not? What do you foresee? Marriage? Children? Shall we settle in the countryside, you paint the shed while I bake the bread? (VO note: sarcasm)

Warden: And what's so terrible about that?

Morrigan: Laughs Are you truly serious? (VO note: incredulous-- but also disconcerted, as the idea of the player being serious appeals more than she's comfortable with)

Or after Morrigan's "bread baking" line you can say this:

Warden:
Do you really think I want those things?

Morrigan: Do you have something else in mind? You are the one who asked the question, as if there were somewhere for us to go. (VO note: annoyed)

Warden: If you don't want any of those things, then fine.

Morrigan: I did not say that, precisely. I... no, never mind. (VO note: almost talks about her feelings, then gets mad at herself and changes her mind)

Morrigan: You are a rather curious and frustrating man.Is what you already possess not enough?  Must you always want more? (VO note: covering up her feelings by turning angry)
==============================================================

So yeah, not like we didn't realize it already, but deep down inside, Morrigan wouldn't be opposed to the sunshine and rainbows happy ending- she has just conditioned herself to ignore that possibility. Really thats much like Viconia, except Viconia was much more open about settling down with the Bhaalspawn and all. Morrigan just masks her emotions. Whether that means we have a happy ending in store, or not, we just have to wait a little less than a week now to find out!

My favorite dialogue. And the reason i love her thatmuch. She is so cute and adorable, as well as vulnerable while saying this. You can feel deep down inside her, she craves for this, secretly toying with the thought of living such a life, but at the same time denying herself to even the thought, for some reason i believe is more than just Flemeth teachings.
Hopefully the dlc clears the sky why she denies herself such things, to even think about it, and resolve the things that got in between her and herself.

Finally, it's here.

Doesn't reveal much, but it seems like we're dealing with mystrious tevinter mirrors once again.

Oh, my Dalish is going to have a sense of dejavu with this one...

seems like a dalish who encountered the mirror would get the most of it. And Morrigan, she does she to appear pretty evil in there, or is it just me? That sinister look, her voice? Why do i have the feeling that mirror and the shrieking thing in the end won't mean anything good.

Let's hope that "evil witch play about temptation" is just a teasing ganme for the trailer and not how she really is in the end

alright, start speculation. From the dalish origin we know that these mirrors can taint people. MAy combined with Morrigans magic, there is a possibility for the Warden to cure his taint. Or maybe, Morrigan is not careful enough and gets tainted herself?

I doubt Morrigan would be foolish enough to get herself tainted. She was trained and taught by Flemeth herself, so is likely to have some knowledge of the mirror and it's dangers.

Not sure about curing the taint, but honestly I don't even care about that. I want a proper resolution to the Morrigan/Warden relationship that doesnt kick me in the balls.

The way Morrigan acted in that trailer doesn't come as a surpirse to me. She did tell us to never follow her, so it's likely she won't be thrilled at first that the Warden disobeyed her wishes. Still, I expect after a few conversation things should pretty much get back to where they were in Origins. Let's hope it ends better this time...

No surprise to see the strider there, half expected it really. I was actually hoping for the other freaky monster that was shown in the Dragon Age 2 trailer after the strider and harvester.

Kinda worried that this DLC is going to be the pits and we get another kick in the balls.

I am hoping we even get back to that. Sure, its just a trailer, and BioWare was constantly teasing her like "now is she evil or not", so her appearance can certainly be explained by that. But i have burned more than once now when its down to her, and i am not sure if i trust them they're just teasing and in-game, ince her intiate anger subsides, she will remember what once has been there and can and will return to that. I at least wanna have a chance, even if it requieres breaking her barriers again, to get back to that Morrigan that gave me her ring and said all those things Brock posted lately.

And from the scene when she is walking in front of the mirror: in the back, seems like the Awakening Dragonbone Wastelands to me.

Man, it would be awesome if Morrigan found a cure to the Wardens taint. But ofc nothing comes without a price. Why do i get a whole, 'To save her we'll have to sacrifice ourselfs' vibe though. Glad to have seen the trailer though, now I can finally get some sleep.

Laidlaw said that Morrigan fans won't be disappointed and Gaider even told us not to worry when Brock, KoP and a few others said they're afraid of being gaidered once again.

THis makes me believe they'll at very least give us a choice this time when it comes down to deciding how the DLC ends or won't force another tragedy upon us.

Let's face it; we are already at "this relationship cannot be" stage. Repeating it does nothing, killing Morrigan is a no go and having the Warden die isn't likely (unless you want to ****** people off).

I'm not saying that we'll get to settle down with Morri and raise the OGB, but there are relatively happy endings that don't come of a cliche or conplicate things for writer going forward.

The problem is, my canon is King Consort. And as much as he loves Morrigan, I don't think he will be willing to travel the world with her and raise their kid, and leave Ferelden and his position behind, unless she manages to convince him to do it, but it will be very hard / near impossible to do.

So I think it's already determined that this relationship cannot be, unless she agrees to stay in Ferelden.

Actually, while that is certainly not the kind of ending i have in mind, i would do without being totally pissed it ended that way.

I see and understand the points you make, and the i see and understand the reasoning behind it. I just can't shake that nagging feeling in the back of my head that just because your points all make perfec t sense, there'S no guarantee BW does really care (or share the same understand of satisfaction, while we're at it) as i do.

But enough of that now. Your points do make sense, and i'll try to silence this little voice in my head now

I hope they don´t pull an "evil all along" thing now. Morrigan´s presence seems unrelated to DR, which was obvious. Wonder what she is up to.

Dalish Origin will finally have a bit of a pay off.

It´s already in Youtube.

I take the elves destroyed the mirror if the Origin was not Dalish, or is it that Duncan arrived later and couldn´t save the PC?

I hate when I get all excited only to watch the trailer and go..'meh'. Nothing really strikes me or reveals much, Strider is there, something to do with Tevinter Mirrors (I'm toying on the idea of using my Dalish elf now). Perhaps a cure to the taint, though I doubt it.

Explains Finn being there though, with the all Tevinter magic that's going to be involved...

*sigh* Why did they make Morrigan look, evil-y? I swear to god if we find out that Flemeth has her body or that she was secretly in the cohorts with Flemeth the entire time, this Warden will not be amused.

Now THAT would be a twist :o. Though I thought she was referring to the Warden's temptation to track her down...

From what I understood Tamlen disappeared just like in Dalish Origins and his friend (Dalish PC) died from the taint.

Duncan simply destroyed the mirror and left without a recruit.

Ugh ugh ugh....I need a time machine NOW! :o

All right... that trailer has me super concerned about the generic EVIL Morrigan or the out of character Dark Ritual Morrigan making a come back and the layered Morrigan we all loved being gone forever. Funny thing is that I was thinking that pink background to that Morrigan screen on the Witch Hunt site could be a Tevinter mirror. And it is....got to replay the Dalish Origin!

I hope that Morrigan voice was a generic one because it sounded WAY too evil...the way she talked soooo slowly and cooly.... I am very worried we'll get closure but its going to be the wailing and gnashing of teeth kind that turns Morrigan into the villain..... I am worried:(

Is that new music in the trailer?

I'll post my screen by screen breakdown in a bit...

Also, I guess the dog is confirmed as a companion, he was in the trailer (when the Warden visits Flemeth's hut again).

Morrigan being evil is her most "popular" trait. Again I wonder who the marketing people think they are selling this to.

I think the forbidden and doors things is about following her. Damn Flemeth, I´m going to enjoy killing her in next playthroughs.
