How sweet it is that I'm about to finish my Dalish playthrough! Just in time it seems.

I'll say this about the trailer. Yes, Morrigan does sound evilish, but considering this DLC will take into account all the different endings you could've had in Origins, it wouldn't make sense for Morrigan to sound warm or welcoming. Taking into account that revenge is being touted as a possibility, it makes sense that they try cast Morrigan in a very dark light for the trailer.

It certainly gets the job done as far as intriguing the hell out of everyone.

And as has been mentioned before, Morrigan really shouldn't be happy to see the Warden at first, regardless of how the relationship ended. Let's hope that we can eventually break her down to get the Morrigan we had in Origins. I miss my sister!

They're two different developer teams and each is doing things it's way. Though there are times when I truly wish Dragon Age team would take a few pointers from ME team about creating DLC content and ME team would learn a few things about dialogue and character development.

How much do we want to bet that the only time you see Morrigan in this DLC is at the end where she is in front of the mirror?
I can see it now- Morrigan touches the mirror and gets sucked in only for it to explode behind her, having her vanish, only to have the MorriClone Army reappear in DA2.......

Thank god its only a trailer... I remember watching the trailer for that new Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey and cursing them for ruining all that Sherlock Holmes was in the books... then I actually saw the movie and noticed they actually stuck very much to the original character and it was just the way the trailer was put together that made him seem like James Bond!

I did wonder however right after this DLC was announced whether it would be an introduction to Dragon Age 2. If Morrigan would open some door that would let some "demon" army into the world. The mirror would fit into that theory.
I'm still hoping the mirror thing is somehow tied with Flemeth and it might be that Morrigan has found a way to either shield herself from Flemeth or to deal another blow to Flemeth. Somehow that would be rather funny for those who let Flemeth live! :) Morrigan would perform some sort of ritual and then nothing happens since Flemeth is still alive! :) hehe

Just because the OGB isn't in the trailer or mentioned doesn't mean it does not have some role to play, perhaps there's 2 ways to do what she plans to do and it might just take something else without the baby... Perhaps a good ending is to be reached with the child and an evil ending is reached without it... No idea... :)

I doubt she'll go into the Black City, her drive for survival seems too high for that... Besides there's probably very little left of the original Golden City now that its tainted. If she would venture to the Black City I would consider it far more logical and into character for her, to go there temporarily to retrieve some sort of powerful object she would need for something (protection from Flemeth?).

What if the mirrors are some sort of conduit that carry the song of the Old Gods to the darkspawn? Perhaps destroying or turning off the mirrors would end their search for the old gods... Awakening basically ended the darkspawn threat so there's no real reason to not stop it completely.

In any case, I do share the concerns many of you have expressed that we might be forced to slay Morrigan or that she turns into something. Considering they can have Leliana flee from Orlais in Origins and have the whole story play out in Ferelden in Leliana's song shows that they can bend lore to their will, so that means they can change everything we think we know about Morrigan, although I wish they don't! :(
I really do hope we can get a good and hopefully happy ending with Morrigan, she never actually stated she was against a family, so who knows! :)

That´s the funny thing. The ME DLC team seem to have taken those pointers. Endings of Stolen Memory and Overlord were really emotional. The closest in DA was RtO with Cailan´s pyre, and I did that just for basic respect to a dead body. The idiot was going to the orlesian empress? Who do you think would actually rule Ferelden?

As long as this doesn't invole Morrigan gettingf killed or a forced sad ending, i won't mind. If we get proper closure for the story and a fitting happy ending, i am okay if that ending also involves some kind of nasty accident that Hawke has to deal with in DA 2.

If she and my Warden can escape and be together, let the demon army come and let oh-so-epic-Hawke deal with it.

What i do wonder if this dlc will also give us a final, visual reason (in whatever kind of way) why the Warden can't be the hero of DA 2?

Got to hand it to her, the woman knew how to wrap men around her finger. There really is no deadlier combination than beauty and intelligence in one person.

Well, in unified Ferelden under Anora & Alistair she has little chances now. Hope my Cousland gets something good out of this now.

*The mirror lights up and armies of demons march through... The Warden and Morrigan carefully take several steps back, tighten the grip on their weapons and prepare for their final onslaught. Just as Morrigan starts casting a fireball spell she feels a hand on her shoulder. She turns and stares into the eyes of Hawke who tells her:  "Get out, I'll take it from here!". As the Warden and Morrigan leave the ruins, they hear Hawke''s battlecries as he charges into the demon army.
Outside Alistair is waiting for them and tells the warden he has arranged for that cottage near the sea as requested. Morrigan looks to the warden with suprise, puts her arms around his neck and kisses him... then there's some cutscene of Morrigan and the warden enjoying the sun at their new cottage and their child running on the shores... THE END!*

There would be no complaints from my side of that bargain, thats for sure ^_^ I know all those family, cottage, and kids is way too shiny and happy for most people, but guess what? If they would really offer this, i would be an all shiny and happy Warden and would give a s**t what other people think and enjoy my witch :P. That kind of ending, despite me having some serious doubts it will happen, would certainly not disappoint me.

We said that a few months back in the old Morri group. Sad and tragic endings for Morri and the Warden tend to write themself. Happy but believable ending, now that is difficuld and requiere some good writing skills.

I get the feeling if Hawke wasn´t predefined in race and the focus of the marketing people wouldn´t mind him taking the spot at all.
I´ll be surprised if we ever play a non-human again.

Well I doubt Morrigan will ever end up being a normal housewife, but I never saw any problems with her and the warden traveling the world together. She stated when she left with you at the start of Origins that she wanted to see cities and bathe her feet in the ocean! :)

One thing I'm wondering about is, do they really want to give us closure or is this just some DLC they've tossed together so we would shutup nagging them about continuation and get in line for Dragon Age 2... If the first is true, then there might be hope for several ending choices, if the second is the case then, well I doubt it! ;)

Well they've stated that Morrigan's story won't end here...but the Warden's will. So I'm wondering how they plan to wrap up the Warden's story but keeps Morrigan's going WHILE giving us a happy ending? I just don't see it happening...I see a Warden Sacrifice ending or Warden disappears forever ending.

They said that Witch Hunt will be the last time we'll play as the Warden. Doesn't mean he/she cant have adventures after that, only we won't see it.

But yeah I'm having a similar feeling in my bones, it would certainly end the complaints about the warden not being in DA2! ;) Then again they might just pull a hollywood sequel ending and have us ride off happily into the sunset only to have Morrigan reappear in another installment without the warden with no mention of what happened! ;)
