I might go through with my female Warden Ama Amell first, her best friend was Morrigan in Origins and got Alistair to do the DR. Then I'll come here for the romance variant, I don't have a file and I doubt I could power through Origins before Tuesday . . .

You might be able to make it, but you'd have to start now and keep going until at least the Joining before taking your first break.

Though to be honest, I do think there's hope in what Laidlaw said.

Saying goodbye to the Warden.....is very hard, I really have never had such a character I really liked like the Warden. I guess he/she was of our own making and so we say goodbye to ourselfs in part. It will be bittersweet but I will never forget our Warden, they can never be replaced in DA.

If the ending can be as good as the Throne of Bhaal ending cinematic , I'll be happy.

On one hand I'd like to believe Laidlaw but I don't want to get my hopes up as everything with Morrigan seems like its destined for a tragic ending to some degree. We'll find out soon enough- and maybe even hear more about Morrigan at PAX maybe this weekend when they have DA2 there?

Yeah, I'm surprised Gaider's going to be there. Morrigan's writer, a couple of days before Witch Hunt comes out... If I were him I'd be in a bomb shelter until after it's out.

Seriously though, I really REALLY hope they don't give us another "doom and gloom" ending when it comes to Warden and Morrigan. We were only ones to get shafted with our romance in Origins, and after all this waiting to see Morrigan again I truly cannot stand another tragedy.

So, here's to hoping that Laidlaw isn't just pumping up our hopes.

Did anyone else take Laidlaw's last sentence as confirmation that there will be different endings based on your relationship with Morrigan?

another question about about Morrigan romance...i have the ring..but when i am captured she dosen;t say she can track me down like i heard she will...or she needs to be in the party when i rescue Anora and meet Cauthrien ?

She needs to be in the party. There is also a bug in Morrigan's dialogue where she is supposed to give the ring but she doesn't. If you have Terra's mod you should be fine.

Ha- yeah, they enter the safe room after Witch Hunt is released, should it simply amount to another kick in the balls for the Morrigan romancing Wardens.

But anyone going to PAX should grill Gaider on Morrigan related stuff- let him know we want the Warden and Morrigan back eventually!

I really hope we aren't getting played, Shiori. I'll blame Laidlaw if Witch Hunt doesn't have at least the option for a satisfactory Morrigan romance conclusion. And if it does end up disappointing, it'll negatively color anything else Laidlaw says about how amazing DA2 is....but I'm cautiously hopeful.

It sure sounded to me that there may be different outcomes and endings based on your relationship with Morrigan. I just hope he wasn't referencing maybe the people that hate Morrigan will walk away with a big smile while us poor saps who romanced her get the tragic ending.

*sigh* I 'm hopeful again that Witch Hunt won't dissapoint. I'm hoping this DLC is like the one DLC they had planned from the start and really is the same quality as Origins and not Darkspawn Chronicles.

We should be seeing some previews on gaming sites today for Witch Hunt so keep an eye out for those. And of course DA2 is at PAX today through the weekend.

I think if you had one that has been on the side of Morrigan and Warden fans, it's MIke, I don't think he would say that if we are not to have a happy end, I will help her in what she needs and protect her from Flemeth and Hawke, thats what is coming after DA2.

All I can say is that she'll be dead & or buried in the witch hunt dlc, that's if she doesn't burn at the stake first.

It's been confirmed that Morrigan romance will be recognized in Witch Hunt despite all the glitches associated with it. Mike Laidlaw and Victor Wachter are making pretty ambitious promises regarding how Witch Hunt ends, some of us rekindled hope while others, such as myself, are still skeptical at such a boast.

I hope they realize if they screw this up and not keep their boastful words and big promises, many fans won't stick around for Dragon Age 2.

Pretty much, check out the Witch Hunt page- its got all 3 companions on there now (Dog!) and its got the trailer for the DLC.

I posted a bunch of speculation  on the DLC here and here... albeit some is my regular doom and gloom  stuff:whistle:

Then BioWare posted their BioWare DA podcast  where Victor Wachter talked to Mark Darrah (exec producer) about DA2 and then Laidlaw. Towards the end, Laidlaw mentions Witch Hunt and how he promised Morrigan fans wouldn't be disappointed. Here is the quote from the podcast:

Speaking with the designers for WH, amongst many other choices, it will recognize and respond to both of  the romance active and still in love flags. I believe the issue with  Awakening was that it only responded to one of those, so you could get  into a bit of a catch-22 where you either missed a part of the Origins  epilogue, or the Awakening one depending on how you ended things in  Origins.

So yeah, thats all you missed I think!

Yeah, those mirrors don't seem to be up to any good...I'm guessing there is some connection to the Fade with them, what with Morrigan's obsession with the Old Gods and all.



But I'm pretty sure that scene is located in Drake's Fall, the spot in Awakening where you fight the Mother.

Unless she is some surprise companion, I'm guessing she won't, which is a shame. My guess is we'll only really interact with her towards the end of the DLC, but I hope I'm wrong in that regard. I'd just hate to have her role in this like the Architect in Awakening where she is just in it for a couple scenes heaped with exposition and little character development.
