I mean no disrespect, but statements like these are irritating to me personally; I assume the big questions are what's up with Morrigan/Flemeth arc and the Dark Ritual? If so, you realize that Flemeth could be a lesser diety of some sort, whose backstory can, in itself, take up an entire game to develop properly, and as far as the Dark Ritual's concerned, there's a child who's born to a powerful sorceress, who herself is daughter to this diety like creature, the former preparing the child for some kind of big 'destiny', not to mention the child having the soul of an 'old god' thousands of years old; this is practically a goldmine of plotpoints and twists that the DLC team would've defecated on had they fully explained the undeveloped and emotionally irrelevant concept, climax and all, in 2 or so hours.

Which is why they shouldn't have crammed this into a DLC and given it at least an expansion pack or a proper sequel to give the plot some damn breathing room, instead of stuffing all the Morrigan related stuff into a 2 minute blurb of exposition at the end just like they did with the Architect in Awakening.

The DLC pretty much confirmed some things we talked about, while pulling a page from BSG and LOST in the 'If we don't have any answers, distract them with more questions!' book.

*Flemeth's no abomination. Some sort of Old God or perhaps the cliche'd 'Force of Darkness at work in the World'

*DA is the introduction to the MorriVSFlemeth war. DA2 will shed light into just exactly what Morrigan is in such a rush to defend against. DA3 will be the showdown, most likely with the OGB (or OGB-esque character) playing a vital PC/NPC role in the throwdown.

I want an expansion now with the Warden's adventures in the Mirrorworld. No Blight, No Warden my arse, they keep giving plot-hooks that the original adventuring hero is perfectly suited for!

And bugs, yay bugs. Bioware's never been Blizzard in this dept. but ye gods, do Canadians not believe in QA?

The thing is, if more fleshed out this had the skeleton of my ideal dream expack- go around Ferelden investigating Morrigan and meet up with her and so on. Yet it feels so rushed towards the end and then the bugs just absolutely kill it.  For the love of god BioWare, brush up on your endings- they're the most important part of the damn story when you seem intent on leaving them as cliffhangers.

I can deal with technical crashes, but story killing bugs ****** me the hell off.

Anyone have a clue what she left for the warden with the book? She said it's of great importance... but we dont see it... at least i didnt

Would not be shocked if that is another bug.

If you stay she gives the book back?

Anyone played with a Dalish? What happens?

No idea. Still trying ot figue that out since the credits roll just as my Dalish Warden picks up the book and Dog starts digging for something.

But I left with her and she didn´t give the book back. I couldn´t even ask despite Arianne requesting me to.

It's true, an expansion pack would be preferable. Then again, I personally thought that the Awakening expansion was a bit on the short side as well. Either way, I'm sure you will agree that even a sufficiently lengthy expansion would be inferior to a dedicated sequel, because, as cheated as some might feel, the basic idea behind this DLC and Awakening's closing is a set up for sequels to follow, somewhat unclimatic in Awakening, but, at least in my opinion, done fairly well here; I mean that there's very little actual plot that needs proverbial breathing in this DLC.

Don't hold your breath.  If we get any sort of follow up I'd expect it to come long after Flemeth's story is developed in DA2.
I just wish I could've taken Dog with me :(

I don´t think is Mirrorworld, just another part of Thedas where another mirror is located. They didn´t answer who Morrigan trusts ebough to live a 3 month old god reincarnated with either.

Can´t tell about Lost, but BSG was more not wanting to give answers rather than not having them, so not to tip the advanced science/sobrenatural balance in one direction. If you rationalize as much as possible it has no more fantasy than Dune. Sorry for the offtopic.

So Morrigan thinks I denied the ritual. Unbelievable--they messed up my decision on the primary moral dilemma in the game. Is this tied to the ring bug from Awakening and the Love/Friendly nonsense?

An expansion roughly the size of Awakening would have worked well I think.  Awakening just tried to do too much with the budget and production time it had.  If they had brought back more old characters instead of introducing an all new cast, cut down on side quests in favor of the main story, and focused it on the search for Morrigan and lore instead of trash mob clearing it would've been very successful imo.

Its a short game that lasts about an hour. Having a major bug like not recognizing the DR is more than enough for such short content like that

Oh, I'm not. I'm just annoyed that they keep telling us the Warden has nowhere to go, and you look around and have to go 'Really?'.

She said the Mirror took you past this world, and past the Fade even, so whatever it is, it's someplace I want to be checking out now.

No one knows.  So many people with different playthroughs are having the bug.  A specific reason as to why, can not be pinned down.

You know considering how many of the Origin beginning areas they reused I'm surprised they did have it start off at Castle Cousland just to round things out.

All good points; I still think the Morrigan and OGB saga is a little too big for an expansion to do respectfully, but yes, it felt like 'DA:O Light' at times, trying to encompass every concept and theme Origins did, but exponentially reducing the emotional weight of the decisions and plot points in the process. Either way, a 30-40hr+ sequel should be overkill. Hopefully.

I can sympathize, but any marketing slogan should be taken with a bag of salt.

I really loved this DLC, it just felt like it could have been 20X better than Awakening had it been given an expack. Chee did a great job writing Ariane and Finn- in the 1 hour 45 minutes I played Witch Hunt, I liked Finn and Ariane more than any of the Awakening companions. Lore wise, story wise, dialogue wise it was awesome and totally worth the $7. It has loads more continuity than Awakening.

The bug at the end is a killer though. I'm going to go through again with my Warden from Awakening and see if the ending is any different. I really hope BioWare gets on this though. I thought for sure at the beginning when you can clearly tell Ariane about your relationship with Morrigan we wouldn't have any stupid romance related bugs. Guess not.

Use reason, stop feeding your negative bias, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy; I both romanced and completed the DR, and had no problem with the ending. I'm sure there are many more who are happy and content, who don't have a burning desire to tell the world of how the DLC worked as expected.

There were so many hints pointing to Orlais. Wonder if the original plan was having an expansion taking place there, ending with the WH plot, and also if Leliana´s Song would have used those possible scenarios.
