I think ALL Couslands are bugged (male and female)
I think all females (of any race) who have Alistair do it are bugged, but not if they have Loghain do it.

I think male Elf and Dwarf non-mages are fine.
Not sure about mages.
That is the pattern I'm seeing

No, my female city elf had Alistair do it and it wasn't bugged.  However, she didn't romance Alistair so maybe that has something to do with it.

It does sound like Couslands are bugged, and possibly Dalish.  Or maybe it has to do with whether she was left at the gates or taken with (it could be a stupid flag like "at the final battle" being misinterpreted or something).

Yeah generally everyone has romanced Alistair who has reported.
Someone said they left her at the gates and was bugged.

I have a save right before the Archdemon. I have tried talking to her then giving her the mirror. Talking to her and no mirror. Not talking to her and no mirror. All of them bugged.

But I'm also wondering if maybe the epilogue save could be at fault. All of my saves came from my own renamed epilogue save (because I go to Soldier's peak to place DLC stuff in chest and take out other stuff before importing).

In the end, it shouldn't be this much effort to fix it. You either did the Dark Ritual or you didn't. Then it should be flagged. /sigh

It seems like it is some teensy tiny little thing that is messing it up. Something so tiny that no-one has any idea. My best guess right now is that for people who did do the Dark Ritual, 80% are bugged.

My favorite moment was when Morrigan was playfully welcoming the dog. I was smiling like an idiot and foolishly held my heart and said "this is it". Then I got slapped in the face.

I thought that was an awesome moment... I really liked that.

Strangely enough...."killing" her was also a heartwrenching yet awesome moment (between quotations because I am convinced that she did not die).

@ Addai. Yea I know, it's a real shame.
And thanks for the sympathy. Posted Image

Ouch... I don't know if I could do that to my favorite DA witch

I thought that was funny too. Since from my recollection, my dog kept trying to give her things, and she seemed to hate his guts. =x

That scene totally reminded me of one of Aimo's early DA comics<3

Honestly, if you dredged through this thread you probably could find moments from the DLC we had guessed or wanted to hear about- like the ring and so on...

I'm surprised you could even watch that. It was rough.

I was frustrated at the time, I had to vent my anger on someone Posted Image

Lol. That's harsh. You're like "You are not *my* Morrigan, you are an imposter!"

But I ain't doing that again. Still, it was a neat scene, almost had me misty eyed.

I really thought she was just going to take one step back and get away from me, but I guess I'm faster than I thought. ...

Well here is also a question.

Did anyone get the bug who did NOT have any mods installed?
For instance, I have respec mod but got the bug.

I installed Terra X's Morrigan Restoration patch, but only after the save point for the Awakening save I imported. Without the mod, that character still had the Sorrow & Reget and the Search for the Dark Haired sorceress slides... and I still got an ending that implied I refused the DR and allowed either Alistair or Loghain to take the killing blow.

I don't get it.

*******Possible OBG Spoiler*************

Even though Morrigan's dialogue implied that I had refused the DR, it still had a peculiar occurrence... I could still ask about 'a' child... and she said that my character had a Boy... does everyone get a boy????

I had Morrigan with me in the final battle.  I do have mods running.  A lot of them weren't working in the DLC, like Lock Bash and Helmet Hack.

She's an imposter! lol
Just trying it out. If I wasn't frustrated, I probably would have shed a tear. But I am strongly convinced that Morrigan does not die and the only thing that would accomplish is ****** her off.

Lol yea exactly.
I only tried it out last. Since the whole thing is bugged, I figured I might as well discover all possible endings and possible new info now and not try them out later.

I think she was making an expression of disbelief. I mean it would make sense if the Warden loved her, maybe she never expected him to do it. Same with befriended Warden.  So maybe that's why she didn't try to defend herself.

That scene is incredibly sad-the shocked look on Morigan's face, the camp music playing then she just stumbles back into the mirror:crying:

But I highly doubt that gut stab killed her- she'll just be pissed at you when she brings back the Hope and Change to Thedas in DA3=]

Is there a post DLC save? Seems like there should be, but I haven't looked, and some folks are saying there isn't. If not, and they're not bothering to save a flag for it, then yeah you can probably safely assume she's not dead.

Negative.  I did the DLC with a Cousland and had no bugs with regards to plot flags/DR.

Notice also that the dialogue option is [Attack her] and not [kill her].

That's true. I liked that, because I wasn't sure if I could land a blow or if she would get away. I really thought she would either step through the portal or a combat would start, so I was surprised.

Out of curiosity does she give you any reason to kill her?  Since I've been unable to replay it I can't really check all the dialogue trees.

She wasn't exactly provocative when I met up with her.  If anything she acted a bit scared of my warden at first.

Not really. I mean she is pissed off if the DR is rejected (which I shouldn't have experienced) and the Warden can ask her why she betrayed him / her.
It's not really Morrigan provoking as the Warden already being angry at her. Or not trusting her as she points out, believing that she is evil.

I've seen a video of the not-bugged Morrigan Romance ending. Is there a video of a not-bugged no-DR ending? Does she talk about different things?

Killing your friend/love/the mother of your child, who also conveniently saved your life... seems kind of hard to justify.  Not trusting her doesn't seem good enough imo.  I can't really think of any reason to take that option, which kind of makes me wonder why it's included.

Well, I went and played it after reading the initial reviews about bugs and such and....yes, as I fully expected, I got the bugged "you denied me" dialogue BS.  What would a Morrigan romancing Warden expect at this point?  Seriously.

Anyway, after that I went and took out my frustration on that bastard Varterral on Insanity for the achievement. I figured if I was destined for another groin shot, I may as well go ahead and deal one out to a deserving party and get 25 more gamerscore for my $7.
Honestly, if she had actually acknowledged my PC did the DR with her, then I don't think I could've asked for a better ending.  If BW will fix this (extrememly stupid...I mean seriously how damn hard can it be to get something this big and important right?) bug, I promise I will buy and play Hawkgirl (or whatever) in DA2.  Being a member of this long gray and sad community of players for the past year, I, of course, will not be holding my breath.

Peace to all my brothers and sisters who have tried to keep hope floating on this foundering ship for 10 months.

Basicaly you do not get real answers; OK; that´s partially fine for me and the end... Well, going away with her made some sense for my character in love with her. Even Morrigan neglecting her affection till the final second but at the same time, just smiling...

The problem is the other possible endings.

And the DLC itself; well, kind of some hack and slash, some puzzles and that´s all folks! I´d rather see more revelations than what I have seen and a better wrap up.

OK, just finished up with my third Warden, this time my Amell. And what do you know, he got the proper romanced version of Morrigan! I have no idea how or why- I imported him from Origins like my Cousland. I'm stumped- but thats BioWare's job now isn't it?

I'll write up my more complete thoughts on it later- outside of the bug, it was a solid DLC. I just have the feeling this either was or at least should have been an expansion pack- all the pieces are there and some parts feel chopped up, like the ending. It has its issues but for Morrigan romancing Wardens it was a nice send off for the Warden and Morrigan.

For non Morrigan romancing Wardens, honestly, this DLC kind of sucked- it hints at more of whats to come, but did it reveal secrets or provide answers? Hardly. Answers better be coming eventually though. If Morrigan doesn't show up in DA2,  I'm waaaaaaaay more excited for DA3 or whenever she comes back from Mirror World, DA2 just seems like filler or asetup of the inevitable Morrigan/Flemeth War that'll likely spring up in DA3. Good stuff- lets just hope the Warden doesn't get written off in the Mirror World and comes back with Morrigan and the Old God Boy (!)

Now we've got to keep Hope and Change alive for DA3!:wizard:

Honestly, given the sheer number of people complaining about this bug and the import in general, they HAVE to address it- it breaks a core feature of the DLC. If they don't, thats pretty bad...

You said you got some extra dialog in the beginning, too, didn't you? I wonder if that is indicative that even more is bugged out..?

It's a pretty major bug, and yet the thread seems to be not volcanically upset about it. I think that's pretty indicative that the DLC was quite good. Congrats!

For non Morrigan romancing Wardens, honestly, this DLC kind of sucked- it hints at more of whats to come, but did it reveal secrets or provide answers? Hardly. Answers better be coming eventually though.

Probably the very reason they didn't do an expac is because they didn't actually want to answer any questions. I didn't romance Morrigan, but I still feel like this DLC added something meaningful to my Warden's story. I rather liked it.

Aw! Morrigan warms up to Dog after awhile in Origins. In fact one of my favorite party dialogues of hers is the one where she gives Dog a scrap and says, "Very well, but tell no one!" XD

My bets are on the Warden dying if he goes with Morrigan. That is why I think she is so adamant on him not following her. She keeps telling him it is not wise and things would be best if he didn't come with her. I think she is trying to protect him, but at the end can deny him no longer. I think the Warden will pay the price for not heeding her warnings though.
