Seems to me that if we don't get Gaidered we get a gamebreaking bug. If I said this was worth staying up all night I'd be lying my ass off. SIGH&FACEPALM

(Spoiler) - I like how the DLC recognises me still wearing Morrigan's ring

It makes so much difference to have the proper ending. It felt like real... well, not closure, but resolution.

I enjoyed the DLC a lot overall. No doubt that's partly because it was so elvish. It seemed like there was a lot of effort put into the writing. It's a shame that it could recognize whether or not you'd been to Cadash Thaig or Dragonbone Wastes, but in many cases not the plot flag of all plot flags concerning Morrigan. I'm going to wait to wrap up Awakening with Aedan and see if he gets the proper romance ending.

Yes, that's what I mean, it recognizes things like that but in many cases not the doozy (the DR).Systemlord Baal wrote...

I just ran through it with a female warden and I actually really liked it. Won't lie, I got a little misty-eyed toward the end of the conversation. But, aside from the "what about the book and gift" ending, I want to know where the "Why did you betray me?" line came from? I agreed to the DR and knew what she was going to do. I agreed to her plan. Why does my Warden think there's any betrayal? Of course, she corrects me with something about leaving just like she said she would, but that line of dialogue is baffling to me.

Well, I have yet to play this with another character than my Mage and there it recognised the DR. It's not cool that so many have problems with it, though.

I avoided the "betrayal" line. I suppose it means why Morrigan left, even though she told you she would when you agree to the DR. Otherwise the conversation went fine. I was glad there were friendly options, and Morrigan reacted as I hoped she would- not cold, but friendly as she and my Warden had parted before. No way my chancellor/ mistress of the King was going to offer to follow her into the mirror, but otherwise a nice wrap-up.

Same here. I chose it to see what she'd reply, but I have no idea why that option would be there if you'd done the DR. Like you said. We agreed to it and she left - like she said right then and there, so I don't see any kind of betrayal....

You said you got some extra dialog in the beginning, too, didn't you? I wonder if that is indicative that even more is bugged out..?
I don't know off the top of my head what it was exactly, but basically when you first chat with Dog as to why you're searching for Morrigan, with my Amell who got the proper DR/romanced Morrigan there as a line you could say to DOg about wanting to search for Morrigan so you could find your child. I'm pretty sure in my other 2 Cousland playthroughs, that line isn't there at the beginning and both of them got the wrong Morrigan, so to speak.

It's a pretty major bug, and yet the thread seems to be not volcanically upset about it. I think that's pretty indicative that the DLC was quite good. Congrats!
COnsidering this thread started over a bug, I think we all expected another bug- even with the bug you could still go through the portal with Morrigan. I imagine if you were blocked off from kissing or going through the portal with Morrigan as part of the bug, this thread would really be raging.

Probably the very reason they didn't do an expac is because they didn't actually want to answer any questions. I didn't romance Morrigan, but I still feel like this DLC added something meaningful to my Warden's story. I rather liked it.
I just hope they have a plan for all this- if DA2 is simply a necessary setup for DA3 and to give Morrigan her 10 years to gain power to return from Mirror World, then fine. I hope they don't ignore the Warden in that case too. But given the marketing, they could have answered some of the questions a bit more clearly- I mean, they provide some interesting tidbits but its far from:

My bets are on the Warden dying if he goes with
Morrigan. That is why I think she is so adamant on him not following
her. She keeps telling him it is not wise and things would be best if
he didn't come with her. I think she is trying to protect him, but at
the end can deny him no longer. I think the Warden will pay the price
for not heeding her warnings though.
Yeah, I'm sure we'll have time to speculate on Mirror World plenty, but my concern is having Morrigan and the Warden disappear in there gives them a bit of an out in terms of consistency and continuity in the future.
I could imagine them bringing Morrigan out of Mirror World looking radically diffferent or something to fit with any new art style and simply chalk it up to the passage of time, being in mysterious Mirror World or becoming all Gandalf the White-like and super powerful. Or just have her change in some radical way and have a chunk of DA3 being to try and figure out why she changed and what went on in the Mirror World.
And conversly they could simply never have the Warden reappear, only to say that he died in Mirror World or something, as Morrigan sort of warned him not to come. But in either of those scenarios, it just seems like a "GOTCHA!" type moment. We evaded getting Gaider'd here, who knows about DA3.

There best be more DLC. They best not leave this on a cliffhanger, or I'ma quite upset.
It is confirmed that this was the last DLC for Origins and Claudia Black doesn't do any VO for DA2 (which should mean no Morrigan) so we will have to wait years for DA3 IF she shows up even then. Isn't that just wonderful?
edit. I bet they'll pull a Revan on our Wardens and have only Morrigan walk out of there in DA3.

I wanted to try the options and see what they did, but that line makes me think my Warden's skull was cracked harder than Flemeth thought, or that she believed Morrigan would stick around when she made it clear she wouldn't. It just confused me.Addai67 wrote...

And yes, I did like the friendly options and that she responded to our friendship. I didn't offer to follow because I was busy with the Wardens, but her reaction to me telling her she didn't have to do it alone was touching. She's such a great character. I miss her again already.

Ha- I was all giddy and smiling ear to ear when I saw Morrigan hugging Dog, then it went on, she referenced the Warden's son, then all of a sudden she starts saying how I denied her at Redcliffe. Oh boy, my grin went to a bewildered "WTF!?" face in no time flat. What could have been an amazingly awesome ending on par with Throne of Bhaal, ended up the victim of yet another bug. *sigh*

I avoided that line on my first run too- "betray" seems too strong of a word. Basically it just expands out to have her explain why she lied to your Warden about her purpose, why she fled, that sort of thing. But "betray" seems a bit harsh for what the actual dialogue choices were which followed.

Dear God that would suck... even though Obsidian did KOTOR2, how Revan was handled as a character should be a textbook example of how NOT to handle a PC in sequels.

Can friendly Wardens follow her or just ones romancing her? I wish we could see all of the dialogue for this in the toolset. Its a shame she won't be in DA2- I know the writers at BioWare are good, but just dumping in all new characters every game really ignores the great ones like Morrigan they've already made and sort of stops any character development they have building.
I'm very much looking forward to DA3! DA2? Eh- it will certainly put Flemeth in a new light I suppose.
As for Flemeth, if she isn't a blood mage or abomination or even human, what is she? And more importantly what does that make Morrigan? This DLC certainly raised interesting questions, but the lack of answers is frustrating.

I'm really sorry, Brock. It makes all the difference. Morrigan was angry and strident in my 1st go, and wistful and sad in the one with the proper ending (see shots above). I hope they fix it somehow.Brockololly wrote...

Ah I see, yes that's what Flemeth is referring to when she talks about Morrigan having lied to you or betrayed you. I can't see that as a betrayal, either. Even if she didn't let on what she knew about the AD, she did do what she said she would- help end the Blight. Since she's always in my party, pretty much, she got a workout in all my games so there's no betrayal to it. But no doubt they put that line in because some people are just permanently cranky towards Morrigan no matter what.I avoided that line on my first run too- "betray" seems too strong of a word. Ok, one other small glitch was a visual problem in one area of Cadash Thaig. Anyone notice that?

Ah, gotcha. That wouldn't be dialog I would expect to get on a fem character. That might be a quick and easy way to determine if you have a bugged game early on.
So she yells at you for not doing the ritual, but then talks about her "plot" as if the ritual occured? GIven how many people are reporting it, I'd be surprised if they didn't fix it. But then again they never fixed the Silverite Mines bug in Awakening and tons of others, so who knows...

Yeah, the Morrigan haters.... its like the option to kstab MOrrigan in the gut at the end. You have to be one heartless bastard to do that, watch that scene play out and not feel like an a-hole. I hope MOrrigan comes back and kills all those Wardens that made that choice, cause that was waaaaay worse than anything Morrigan ever did to the Warden.

Yeah, I had the blocky fog in Cadash Taig. Had my usual run of crashes that I've had since Awakening and1.03, but overall it ran pretty well.

Yeah, its confusing at first then you realize whats going on and its like "Either Morrigan is schizophrenic or we've got yet another Morrigan dialogue bug."

I almost get the feeling Morrigan is srot of doing this against her will or that she personally would rather not do all this Old God plan stuff. There is one line towards the end where you can ask her something along the lines of what she wants- whether she wants to be free? And her response is :
Its like she is compelled to do this stuff even if she really doesn't want to. Poor Morrigan:(What I want... is unimportant now...
Hope Aedan gets the right ending- its awesome when you actually get it right!
