It definitely was one of the hardest fights in the game. I'm sure it'll show up some way in DA2 it wasn't some casual fight and I'm just curious to see how it affects Flemeth in DA2

Guys, another member of the forums brought me in front of a cruel reality that I had not realized.
IF a warden, any warden dies when the archdemon is slain, that is proof that the god baby never happened...
What do you think this entails for DA2...?
The "change" Morrigan speaks of apparently is going to happen regardless of whether the OGB exists or not. The OGB does not appear to be a catalyst nor linchpin in the coming plot. When the OGB does exist, he is expected to "herald" the change... perhaps in a leadership or prophet-type position.
Edit: Also wanted to add that unless you play a character that denied the DR, I don't know if your character can come to the conclusion I stated. Only characters that denied the DR and survived know that the change is occuring with or without the OGB.

It's registered and referenced in Witch Hunt.Acharnae wrote...

In a couple of instances you can point out that she's dead. If you didn't kill her you can point out that she saved your life.
Yes guys, I tried letting Flemeth go once and I played the first couple of minutes of WH out of curiosity just to see what you can say to Ariane.
PS: There is a clickable area right where you killed her. If you click you'll get a codex.

I don't know about you guys but I'm looking forward to DA3...even though its years away, not even in the making yet. I'm curious if the godbaby will play any role in a Dragon age title, if you made that choice. (I hope it does.)
I'm almost a 100% certain we will get no face to face encounters with Morrigan, which is good. I don't want to meet Morrigan again as Hawke.
anyways did anybody get any problems with the codex? I play on 360, and for some reason I don't get any XP when I pick up a codex in witch hunt, and I can't read them.

So I was wondering earlier about one of Morrigan's lines in WH. The part where she explains to the PC things about the ritual, about how "the battle came too fast, and I had no choice but to come to you. (And I didn't want to see you harmed/die.)"
Does this imply there is another way to get the soul aside from the ritual, that Morrigan would have done that if there was more time?
Gaider explained that one in detail a few months back.
Morrigan's original plan was to wait until the Grey Wardens of Orlais arrived and then pick one of them to sire the OGB with no strings attached.
Since the battle of Denerim came faster than anyone expected, she was forced to do the ritual with the Warden or Alistair/Loghain (if the Warden refused and/or was female).
The reason she didn't pick the Warden for the DR right from the start (read: Korcari Wilds) was because of her feelings towards him, which she knew would complicate things in the long run.
That's why the whole DR was supposed to be so difficult for both the Warden and Morrigan. She knew this was something that had to be done, yet came to regret the fact that she'll leave her lover and never see him again. It is also likely that she knew he'd be unwilling to let her go and forget what was between them.

Though you get the feeling that by that point it became less about the OGB, and more about saving the man she was in love with, or her only friend.

Man, you've no idea what those are like.
According to Morrigan, Flemeth's cooking was the most horrifying thing in the world.

Heh my post was actually a callback to what Velanna says to you when you give her the empty journal. But yeah apparently both Flemeth's, and the Chasinds cooking styles were something to be afraid of.

Sounds like the Orlesian Warden dialogue. Not that I know what the Orlesian dialogue is.Acharnae wrote...
Err... guys, although I finished WH without encountering the bug (I imported a post coronation game) and I got the dog dialogue having the option "we'll find the child", this time that I started witch hunt, there was almost nothing at the dialogue with the dog, not a "we'll find morrigan" not a "we'll find the child"... nothing.... hmm... there were only two options "we'll find the witch" and "let's go"

Good to hear.
I'd rather they delay the patch but fix everything, than to have to wait for another one just because they missed something.

Thats an understatement- with 1.03 I swear that patch broke more stuff than it fixed. I'm curious what sort of bug they found though? Presumably 1.04a was simply creating the end games save and then fixing the DR flags. What else?

I sent them a bug in the beta patch i noticed a few days back - in a post-game save a particular branch "she stole my child" would never show up when speaking to Ariane, in a post-coronation save it does. Whether that's the one they're referring to I don't know.

Didn't Morrigan say that was why her mother saved you sent her with you to begin with - to have the kid? If her plan was just have the kid with any Grey Warden, why not just wait for the Orlesians to begin with? Why save the noob Wardens at all?Bruddajakka wrote...
