Anybody else agree that...Alistair & Morrigan together is just wrong!?

THIS. THIS. THIS. (Said three times for emphasis.) No offense to Morrigan/Alistair shippers out there, but I just can't fathom the possibility of them going beyond companions who hated each other's guts 99.9% of the time.

Read an Alistair/Morrigan fanfic once (not the kink prompt ones) and it just felt... out of place? >_>;;; And it made me shudder. Can't see Morrigan falling for Al. And Al's probably happy keeping her out of that zone.

Were any of your Morrigan-romancing Wardens virgins before Morrigan? If so, do you think your warden(s) would have cried after the ...ahem... joining because of the emotional effect of the act? (of course they would be too manly to show that in front of Morrigan )

The only reason I could consider this viable in anyway is because its still a statistical fact that some guys can be that emotional after their first experience. And Morrigan is quite the woman, as we all know...

Oh. Edric... he got around a little. XD When he was younger that is. Though none of his romps under the sheets ever got to serious part. So I would say maybe he did get a little emotional. But mostly because Morrigan was a woman he really valued.

@ejoslin- my apologies. As far as the talk of probabilities went, I was only talking about the male probabilities, because its in relation to the topic of Morrigan since she isn't a bisexual romancer w/o mod. You are of course correct when mentioning the female opportunities. I personally laughed at a video I saw of a female human noble propositioning Duncan. His reaction was the best! XD

Also, you're right about individual experience when it comes to the first sexual experience. Many people experience it different ways and there are just as many men, for example, who treat sex casually no matter what as there is guys who treat it a big deal. For me, it would probably be a big deal, even if right now I'm in a sour mood for relationships.

As far as Corviel goes, its the same. It would be a huge moment for him, regardless of how Morrigan would treat it, and part of that influenced his "pro-love" arguments with Morrigan, trying to convince her that love is not a weakness.

Damnit I had another joke-convo idea I had similar to the other one, but I can't find the exact dialogue for Morrigan giving the ring anywhere...

Oh, you silly human-noble players,'ing me with comments while I'm trying to find something (j/k, you guys are all awesome).

*sarcasm* and you're all horrible for not having your PCs save it till something meaningful */sarcasm.

But yeah, I'm not surprised really at the answers thus far. I figured it would be a majority "no, not his first time." I'm just different that way, playing as an elven streetrat in Denerim who dreams of the big-time and getting the girl [cue a broadway-style showtune]

On another serious note, I am not sure of Morrigan's past experience (there are hints for yes and no for prior experience in-game), but I think because of her initial unfamiliarity with love and her detachment from the emotion that during the later parts of the game, when the feeling goes to love (either the time before she refuses you at camp, or the Dark Ritual) that is is something special for her, too. I'm not sure if people thing she automatically treats it casually, but if people said that, I would disagree with that sentiment at later parts of the game.

on a side-note as a reply to Ximena: I agree with you to an extent on Morrigan/Alistair shipping, but I think that it isn't 100% impossible, though it is QUITE the stretch. Its about as wierd and unlikely as Zuko/Azula shipping in the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" shipping circles; this also brings to mind the possibility of Alistair and Morrigan being half-siblings... has anyong confirmed this, btw?

Oh god no- that thought makes my eyes bleed just as much as "Morgan" would:pinched:. They have great banter but they do not care for each other at all.

It isn't impossible, but I think Thedas would burn before that happens. Or Sten would have to dance around in a tutu first. With a big smile on his face.

Plus if they're really siblings...

It is mentioned in game that Morrigan is no virgin- she has been with other men before. And I think initially thats all she views the Warden as - just another guy. It makes the DR and her eventual departure easier for her to deal with that way if the Warden is just another disposable guy. Yet she starts having feelings for the Warden, gets all flustered because she has never loved someone like this before all the while realizing she is still going to be leaving after the DR and that throws her for a loop. So I think MOrrigan treats things somewhat casually at first but by the end she obviously has strong feelings for the Warden.

I'll help out- its impossible. They might get it on for the DR, but thats about it:wizard:

It has been brought up, but what went on between Flemeth and Maric in the hut has never been mentioned. Although Gaider did cryptically say in one of the PAX chats when asked if we'd find out something like "Now that would be interesting wouldn't it?" But having Morrigan and Alistair be hald siblings then possibly having them do the DR- waaaaay too much Arthurian lore going on there.

Well if this made it to the big screen (and they are full siblings):

I don't see why not? :D

On a serious note, that would be a meeh idea.

See, I wouldn't have known that otherwise. I can't recall conversations in which she said that directly, so it helps to ask

I would agree with this. Probably the best conclusion to me asking because I wasn't sure.

This post cracked me up. As for the possibility of it, I don't really want to think about that too much. I was for the most part playing devil's advocate. I personally agree that Morrigan and Alistair would be way too wierd to even think of, but at the same time I won't deny Morrigan/Alistair shippers the right to ship it, or troll comments on fanfics of theirs.

Part of my morbid curiosity make me want to check some of these out, just to see how outrageous people have taken it.

Overall, if it DOES turn out their siblings, it'll make things VERY wierd for female warden players who did the DR... inbred OGB does NOT sound appealing at all

Btw, can anyone direct me to a website with the dialogue script for the first ring conversation with Morrigan, when she gives it?

kinda off-sub-topic but I'd like to know

@Regarding Alistair/Morrigan fics

Oh. The way the writers have written it isn't really outrageous. Actually, the Alistair/Morrigan fic that I read which wasn't for a kink prompt was really well written. It's the thought of Alistair and Morrigan getting it on beyond the DR that is hard to swallow.

And oh. I'm not against people shipping it. They're free to ship whatever they want. I'm just expressing that it's really outrageous for me. XD

@KOP

At least the Skywalker twins didn't have to do it.

I was wondering where I heard it and its actually in the friendship talk she gives a male Warden:

I have been with men physically, those who lusted after me and even professed love... but friendship with a man? I did not know 'twas even possible.

I should probably ask for a source for all dialogue trees with Morrigan, while I'm at it, so I don't have to ask again and I can just look it up. The DA wiki is useless on this matter.

:crying:

Believe me, if I had a powerful-enough PC, I would have played all Bioware games I've played on PC...

Damnit, I guess I'll have to wait until I get to that point in the romance with my current playthrough, record it, and use it as reference for my next joke post.

I would imagine the majority of them were Chasind, and it's kind of hard to give street directions in the Korcari Wilds.

I was wondering what the hell...

"I wish she would have given me names. And physical descriptions. And addresses"

*facepalm*

Personally, I wouldn't want to know... it would just make things akward in bed, ya know

Probably a little like this LOL

OK here's a question, related to the "Could Alistair & Morrigan be siblings". I've just started "The Stolen Throne" and read after Loghain first met Rowan how they were giving each other "Looks" and you could tell by the writing that Logain was a little disappointed when he found out she and Maric were betrothed. Do we know if Rowan & Loghain ever "did" anything? It crossed my mind at one point that maybe Morrigan could be their child, somehow given up to Flemeth, but then if Morrigan and Loghain did the DR . .  . ewww. So, I put that thought aside. I'd wondered about the possible relation to Alistair, but then dismissed that too once I realized the DR implications.

And who is Anora's mother? Do we know? (That's just a curiosity question on my part, no relation to Morrigan ideas.)

Her name was Celia. I believe she was the daughter of a cabinet maker in Gwaren.

Heh heh, true! I started ST whilst in the midst of another book ("The War of the Dwarves" by Markus Heitz) because I was silly and so it is next on my reading list. I'll find out soon enough.  Thanks for answering my other question though, that's been bugging me and I didn't see any answers in game.
