This is purely so I can comment on the recent flood of Morrigan pics/art that has come through

Oh god. Why do you guys go on long post mode when I'm busy and can't reply my own long replies? XD

Anyway, because I can't reply anything of substance (again) I'm just gonna post a Morrigan comic by another artist:

Hehe, funny comic, and AWESOME for the fact that we're seeing more elf romance art =]. I'll definitely check this artist out.

sexy cleavage is sexy

Love this! Also, it appears the artist made her bra-less... ahh the memories of when I seriously thought she had no bra :P. Besides that obvious face, her face, the ogre, everything else done well here.

Wait, Brock... lol did you mean YOU did this or the artist did...

Either way I could SO totally see this as a legit Dragon Age parody. Characters match the characters parodied.

And since Flemeth is also part of the Morrigan thread, I'll just add this awesome comic from Aimo[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]:

HAHA! That MySims Morrigan pic is made of pure Wynne :P (see what I did there? Bad joke, I know). Seriously, though, awesome and great to see little quirky things like that to lighten the dark mood of all this future talk.

And while I've never imagined Aimo's artwork would end up here besides that one Morrigan pic posted a couple pages ago, this comic about Flemeth is amusing... and disturbing. I've made it a point NEVER to think of Flemeth as hot, as much into older woman as I am. Too much, lore and implication-wise, is there for me to ever consider her as such :pinched:. The concept of her shapeshifting into a better-looking form is uniquely funny, though, even if shapeshifters can't switch into different human forms :D.

No, no, no, I didn't do the Peanuts comic- ha- its by eisu, the artist that also did that comic above as both Ximena and I linked to his deviantart.

Well, keep in mind Flemeth is no normal shapeshifter and can indeed change her human form.:wizard:

F'N PLOTHAMMER is what I say!! While the bolded may be true, its probably just an excuse to make a hot gmilf mode for Flemeth to fit in with UBER-EXTREME "Heavy Metal" (as in the movie or magazine franchise) DA2. <_<

:P

Now for some pointless swooning (because I can't think of anything else)...

Ah..... Morrigan

Oh! Btw Brock (I THINK its you who pointed this out), ever since you mentioned how Morrigan's eyeshadow layer is actually a tattoo game-coding-wise, I have been able to unsee that. Now everytime I look at a screenshot of her that is from a PC I for some reason always picture the eyeshadow as a tattoo design or warpaint  :pinched:

Dammit, yes I've noticed the lack of Morrigan fanfic but I've never ventured into the FF.net page. Ever. I don't know why, but I just couldn't get myself to do so... even though I spent about 5 years obsessing over a bunch of fan fic groups that wrote entire series' based on alternate version of the Marvel, DC, and Image comic book universes.

Nevertheless its tragic she is without her fanfic support and thus I shall now make some Morrigan fic. *hangs head in shame*

Now I just need an idea or inspiration.

I agree with you about the lack of Morrigan fanfics in general, Fanfiction or otherwise... I've been avoiding that site for a while because I don't remember my login info, and some people are still waiting on an unrelated fanfic I created a year ago which I stopped for a while...

Also I wish you the best of luck. I would have started a Morrigan fanfic eventually, but the situation's still pretty much as it was a few pages back; my initial ideas became null and voids, so I can no has fanfic :(

So in a way maybe IT IS possible to make these screens or cutscenes with Morrigan and the warden for their conversations or talking about both grimoires, even a good screen of both of them sitting on a rock or on the floor side by side about the "opinion of love" . I wonder how does Terra manage to make this screens? with the toolset and then in the game or right from the tool set? because I'm getting more and more convinced in buying the game for the pc since I only have it on ps3. I always thought that Morrigan should be sitting and resting at camp unlike the others since she has her own bonfire and apart from the rest of the camp. B)

For me there i just too many ways to go thanks to the end of Witch Hunt... "Beyond the fade" it gave me chills. But then again there are things "inbetween" quests that can be told. At one point I was tempted to write, for myself, a piece on what happened after the death of the Archdemon and a pregnant morrigan crossing into Orlais but Ximena totally outdid anything I had concieved (plus great art). So I've no idea what to honestly do.

I want to write it, have the time and capacity to write a Morrigan piece, but just WHAT exactly. Ugh. I like having boundaries because thats where my imagination can do the most damage. I've been running 9 songs on a loop that kind of encapsulate the Warden/Morrigan relationship so I'm "in the zone" so to speak.

There was an interesting meme thing that was published on deviantart a week or so ago. Let me find it

*goes to open an extra tab for deviantart, goes to his favorites, and looks at what he's referring to*

Ahh there we go. Its called the "dA music meme for writers". I didn't look for the original source yet, but I favorited one writer's version of it. I might make a version of it myself and publish that. Maybe even if it interests everyone here, I might post it here. Who knows =]

I suggest a good canon. Maybe after you follow her through the mirror? Anyways good on you brother/sister for adding more Morrigan FanFiction! Morrigan approves +43.

Anywho, back to more baseless speculation!
"There are also references in elven mythology to another race of gods, called "The Forgotten Ones," the enemies of the elven pantheon".

"There are references in elven mythology to another race of gods: gods of evil, with whom the gods of the elven pantheon fought an endless war. These gods are now known as the Forgotten Ones, and for good reason as even the hahrens, or elven elders, know little to nothing about them. According to legend they, along with the elven pantheon, were trapped away from the world at around the time of the fall of Arlathan. "

Hmmm. Supposing that the Forgotten ones are not the Old Gods (when were the old Gods supposedely trapped by the Maker?).
Could Flemeth be one of those forgotten ones?

Ugh, Morrigan haters go full out. Screaming for their opinion to be heard. So bitter, really says a lot about them as a person, to hate a in-game character with such vemon. *Cough* Asai.

I don't hate any character, it's love all around! <3

Anyways...I heard or read, from somewhere that Flemeth has the dalish book in DA2? She sends Hawke to deliver the book to a dalish keeper. Does anybody know if that is actually true?

Thats the thing though... it doesn't matter which hairstyle. Its just with all PC shots I see it, mostly because all PC shots I see are front-face shots. I don't have the toolset due to my obvious console reasons, so I wouldn't be able to mess around with it anyway.

Its only on pictures of TV screens that it looks like eyeshadow again, and that is mostly because of the natural blur and glare that comes with attempting to take picture as such.

I do believe that the Old Gods were already imprisoned before the fall of Arlathan though. In any event there seem to be parallels between the Elven Gods and the Old Gods. I do wonder if we'll ever even get a clear answer at all as to Flemeth's true nature or if they'll simply pull a Witch Hunt with most of the Morrigan/Flemeth stuff going forward and constantly tease something more, but never provide any meaningful answers.

Its my understanding that Flemeth gives Hawke a package to deliver to the Dalish clan that was from the Origin story in DAO. Apparently that clan has now moved north into the Free Marches where Hawke is headed.

That looks like something out of the movie "The Warriors" (classic gang movie in case you haven't watched it), like Morrigan almost looks like a female member of the protagonist gang :P

friggin warpaint... lol

looks SO much better with her trademark hair. Really wierd seeing her with other hairstyles.

Her face overall, though... its just magnificent.

Could this so called "package" be what Morrigan stole from the dalish? ^.-

I play on console....and I didn't know that those purple rings around Morrigan' eyes were tattoos! I always thought that it was some kind of weird makeup. She might be demon blooded or dragon blooded...who knows. Or maybe those pinkish eyes just run in Maric's family xD

Also on the topic of Flemeth.

Do you think Flemeth shapeshifted to look like Morrigan's mother in DA:O? Or is she actually in Morrigan's sister's body?

Yeah...maybe I haven't found any but I'd love it if there was a longer hair mod sort of how Ximena draws Morrigan with long hair. The problem with most of the longer hair mods is that they too often look really weird IMO when the hair gets to about shoulder length as its so rigid.

Morrigans God son wrote...

Could be I suppose- although Morrigan stole the book from a different Dalish clan than the one Hawke is delivering the package to.

Well, I think it is technically makeup- I only call it a tatoo because within the toolset its treated as a tatoo, not like regular eyeshadow. Whether its technically supposed to be a tatoo in game, I kind of doubt that.

Don't know- weknow Flemeth can change human form, I'm wondering if maybe she is limited to the forms of those past daughters she has stolen in the past. So maybe she sort of eats their souls or something and that allows her to take that shape?

Instead of how Morrigan says a shapeshifter has to study a soul to copy its physical form, maybe Flemeth simply eats or consumes the soul and it merges with her super abomination form and thats what gives her power?

Fen'Harel was one of the elven gods, but he was a trickster and plotted betrayel and whatnot. The codex says that although he was one of their gods, he could also walk among the "Forgotten Ones" since they knew of his nature.

On the subject of gods being imprisoned, though, there is this interesting tidbit:

"And that is how Fen'Harel tricked them. Our gods saw him as a brother,
and they trusted him when he said that they must keep to the heavens
while he arranged a truce. And the Forgotten Ones trusted him also when
he said he would arrange for the defeat of our gods, if only the
Forgotten Ones would return to the abyss for a time. They trusted
Fen'Harel, and they were all of them betrayed. And Fen'Harel sealed them
away so they could never again walk among the People."

So...maybe Flemeth is akin to Fen'Harel? Perhaps also kind of in a stand-off neutral position?
