I've just read it and it was very good, I once saved the mirror until the end to re-establish the romance with Morrigan in case of talking to her after the ritual, there seems to be a bug that if engaging in dialogue she would break up the romance and playing after the credits she would be just in a friend status, giving her the mirror would re start the romance.

It is a very good start and the possibility of action also sounds great.

Wow, someone read it already this late/early in the night/morning. Thank you. But yes thats exactly what I did I held on to that damn mirror all the way to Witch Hunt in two different playthroughs. I ended up not even needing ti but always imagines... well... you just read it.

But yes I do promise action, so far its fluff and humor but expect uh... action and nudity, because I'm a dude and thats what I like. Also family stuff. But defintely aciton. Possibly adventure.

Chapter 1 guarantees a chapter 2, so my answer is yes defintely continuing it. And also note Chapter 2's title is "Blood and Fire".

I asked Ximena about commissions a while back and the answer was no. Unless she's changed her mind since then...

Seeing as I can't create any videos or even make screenshots on the console version, the extra things and the fact that the ui & camera is far better... I may pick up the ultimate edition of DA:O sometime in November/December. There're some releases I'd like beforehand like TFU2 (on that note, TFU2 is a game I expect a cinematic experience from; I'm not an advocate of the style DA2 is shifting towards for a game that had come along as a bastion of much good antiquity).

I know of the restoration patch Tera has up, but are there any user additions, other fixes or even models any of you would recommend?

And to keep this on topic :P:

In this thread by KoP in the DA2 forums, there was some interesting Morrigan speculation I'll copy/paste here:

I'm thinking of the statue that Tamlen comments on in the Dalish origin
This one right?
Posted Image
Yes that's the one.  Doesn't that kind of look like the darkspawn  ornaments?  Here's another shot besides the one KoP posted at the  beginning of the thread.  These aren't the best, there are such  monuments all over the Deep Roads for instance.
[snip]
Hoping we find out some more pieces of the puzzle in DA2 since we know the Dalish will be involved.
Hmmm...
Well, you've got these statues all over the place- this one is from the basement in the Mage Tower with all of the other relics:
Posted Image

And it sort of reminds me of the Architect's general physique,or it even  seems similar (minus the wings) to this statue in the Deep Roads from  this DA2 wallpaper:
Posted Image

Connection?
I don't know if that statue is "darkspawn" necessarily- for some reason I'm  thinking Tevinter, but that general motif showing up in Origins and then in the DA2 concept art above can't be coincidence can it? Or is it just something the art people thought looked cool and nothing more?

Brockololly wrote...
KnightofPhoenix wrote...

Yea both figures do resemble the Architect. In fact I am starting to wonder if the Architect is working alone. He doesn't know how he became free  of the song. Someone (those things maybe) freed him without him knowing  and is using him?
Hmmmm.....speculation time!

Say, Flemeth is some being even beyond an abomination like Morrigan says in  Witch Hunt. And she is somehow connected to the last Blight and the  "change" to come, like Morrigan says. What if Flemeth was responsible
for the Architect's "Awakening" as he fits in to her overall plan  somehow? Maybe the Architect was but some sort of larval form of  something greater- and thats what we're seeing in those statues? The  statues seem to have wings and an extra set of arms and such- maybe  those were the form of original darkspawn that the Tevinter magisters  turned into? Or maybe they're something else entirely, and Flemeth seeks to bring them back?

Or not- it must be some rule that all specualtion leads to Flemeth eventually.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]

Brockololly wrote...
KnightofPhoenix wrote...

Maybe the Tevinter magisters who went to the Golden City sought to become  "something greater" and aspired to be like those things? And that  experiment failed and led to darkspawn as we know them? And Flemeth is rectifying that?
Maybe they wanted to make human-dragon hybrids. They were seemingly obsessed with dragons in general.
But yea it must all come back to Flemeth.
Heh- you know its probably just a recycled art asset and the writers are  seeing this thread, just laughing and laughing, pointing and laughing  some more.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

But I like youre theory there too- whatever that statue is they all seem to have wings and some sort of elongated head- not too unlike the High  Dragons. Some sort of human-dragon hybrid certainly would be a big  "change" in Thedas. Hmmmm...maybe thats where Morrigan is going into the Eluvian- to the now Black City to try and uncover that knowledge? Maybe thats why Morrigan doesn't want a Warden thats in love with her to come with her, cause she's going to try and become some dragon-human hybrid  thing? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/surprised.png[/smilie]
That would have some serious implications on love making [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]
Hahaha- and you thought accidently shapeshifting into a spider was bad[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/andy.png[/smilie]
KnightofPhoenix wrote...
I don't think Dragon Age is called that for nothing. The Old Gods are  dragons that can teach magic, specifically blood magic, so they have to  be linked to the Fade. We've seen the Dragon Andraste giving her blood  so that her disciples can drink it and learn from it (reavers).  Flemeth in her new form (especially the horns) is also reminiscient of a  dragon.

So yea, maybe that change is everyone becoming a  human-dragon hybrid. I still don't see what's the opposition between Flemeth and Morrigan though if they both seem to approve of this change.
Yeah, I'm with you on the whole "Dragon Age" thing- we  know big things are coming that will shake Thedas to its core- they're  going to knock the whole sandcastle over. Its only reasonable to think  that dragons fit into this in some way, what with Flemeth and her High  Dragon form and the Blight and the Old Gods being dragons of some kind,  whether simply intelligent High Dragons or something else. And then you  have Morrigan potentially saving the soul of an Old God, which is to   our knowledge a dragon of some kind.

As far as Morrigan and  Flemeth and the change, maybe they both want to control it in some way  but for different ends? I don't know- but if we go along with the whole  dragon-human hybrid thing, maybe thats what Morrigan meant when she was  saying in Witch Hunt that "sometimes change is what sets them free." So  maybe, its like how the dwarves had the anvil of the void and had  willing volunteers to become golems. Maybe, part of this change is  Flemeth gathering some apostate/mage army that worships the Old Gods and are willing to become like that winged statue, some sort of  human-dragon hybrid. But maybe Morrigan beat Flemeth through the Eluvian
to where the knowledge to "free" onself of their human form is in  Mirror World and Morrigan can get to the whole human-dragon hybrid thing before Flemeth?

I also want the ultimate edition for the pc, seeing all the mods there are and the videos and screenshots you can make...that would be cool, though I'm waiting in november the release of AC2-Brotherhood, if I already have the previous ones I'm continuing the story then I can stack the games as if they were books. AC,AC2, AC2brotherhood, Godfather, Godfather2, Dragon age, Dragon age 2, etc etc.

Regarding about the restoration patch Terra did, I saw the videos except the video about turning morrigan to the templars, even when I would never do that I would've like to see the scene.

As for mods that I would reccomend...well the armor of the devout looks cool, and I think there's a patch to start with noble clothes for human noble origin, instead of the armor and terra's restoration fix. I saved the links even when I don't have the game for pc, not yet.

Hmmm...well, as far as mods go, Terra's Morrigan dialogue mod is a must. Beyond that I've got, the white teeth mod, no helmets, a bunch of armor mods, enhanced shapeshifting, annoyance remover, and a bunch of other ones I'm forgetting. And then you've got the toolset to make your own facemorphs too. Even if there aren't a ton of modules, all those little cosemtic type mods add up and make a big difference in how much you'll enjoy the game.

no helmets

Awesome. Sauce.

Well, as for armours etc, I'd like a fiddle with the toolset myself to see if I can manage to customise any textures, not that I'm expecting any personal success.

Edits to shapeshifting would be great now you mention it.... it's a joke that the fade shapeshifting is more fun and better implemented than the actual spec.

Thanks for the suggestions! Although:

Annoyance remover? I kill Wynne anyway....
