As for the winged, "darkspawn" statues... I forget where it is in Origins but in Awakening they make reference... I think its Velana since she is the resident elf expert... that those 3 statues in the Architect's bedroom represent the Gods that the Elves worshiped that caused the Exalted March that lost them the Dales or Arathlan... I forget specifically since I been playing Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire so as to not burn out on DAO/Awakening like I have ME/ME2.

Hmmm..interesting- I don't remember that in Awakening. I'll have to check that out.

So how's this thread been? I haven't been here in a while (doing some other stuff, other projects with other games). I see the awesome fan art and dissertation-length posts are still going on heh heh.

Do any of those fan art involve 3D CGI renders? Just asking...

Has anyone played MySims SkyHeroes for their Morrigan fix? (I HAD to ask!)

Speaking of that I should dig into The Sims 3 that I have just sitting around taking up HD space (maybe there's Morrigan mods for that game!), but that's another subject entirely...

Thread's been quiet this past week- not much new in the world of DA, seeing as no gameplay or anything or anything at all has been announced to speculate on. I don't get it- Blizzard releases more Diablo III stuff today and yet here we have DA2, coming out in a bit more than 4 months and "officially" they've only released a handful of screens and a CGI trailer. Even with Origins, when it was due out in March 09, they had gameplay videos out by October 2008. If we don't get anything meaningful by the start of November, I'm going to start thinking it may be delayed.

Hahaha- no, but I did replay Crysis after reading that Claudia Black did VO work in that. Didn't realize that she also was in ME2 as the one Asari on Illium that speaks to you if you saved the Rachnii (and she voiced the bartender too).

And bringing up MySims Morigan is an excuse to post this:happy::

Just out of curiosity, what the hell is that game like? Is Morrigan just a face in it or does she carry her personality from DA?

Not that I would ever play that...

Heh heh - for The Sims 2 which I had on my laptop (maybe still do, if the hard drive wasn't the problem behind it checking out for good), I did have a downloaded Bastila Shan living amongst my Sims (she was wearing real world clothes, though). I had over 2000 Sims in one neighborhood in the Sims 2. And that is NOT a typo.

But yeah, Morrigan in The Sims 3 can definitely lead to some interesting possibilities. I might start checking those Sims mod sites really soon.

Yeah, info has been very scarce about this game. If it gets delayed, it is what it is, but I think they should stuck in a DAO DLC or two to help keep audience interest in the franchise (and I'm talking about DLCs with substance BTW). I'm one of those people who likes spoilers and whatnot (they save me from total crap sometimes!)

And we can only speculate about the same subject with the same info for so long....

I liked this one better, if I had the game she would have definitely have my old god child in our 2 stories house.B)

Remembering... I think the last expansion I bought for the sims was...sims 2 nightlife, had university, open for business and pets too but since ps3 and some games like the one from our good forum I uninstalled the game and left it for good.

Haha- Its a aerial combat game for kids basically- EA shoved Shepard in there too and some other of their characters. I think Morrigan is just an unlockable character and since its a Sims game, she probably just talks Sims gibberish if anything.

Here is some gameplay with Morrigan flying.:P

Thank you, and yes this Cousland has made some bad choices in his time as The Warden. Oddly enough he is kind of an amalgam of the "Stupid Good" and "Doing Whatever I Want" versions of the same Warden. But yes, I do love writing Morrigan. She was such a great dispensary of commentary during the entire journey from Ozammar to Redcliffe (oh yeah I took her there, it was never the same once we left).

Put alistair in there and then they would have a good hunting "dumb than a mabari" game in the sky. shame she didn't eject from the plane and turn into a crow to scape, she was blown up!!.

I took her everywhere too, even to the circle with wynne, the good thing is that with the vestments of the seer and I think the enchanter cowl or the diligence armor I felt she was safe to go around orzamar, she was protected. I taped the cutescene (with a digitial camera, blasted video caputure thing that I haven't bought yet!) approaching the dead trenches, almost saying, "Morrigan, dear, don't walk to close to the edge..." the warden would have stop looking at the darkspawn below just to make sure Morrigan wouldn't fall.

My warden was more of  "there is the warden's cache...wait...wooow a vulture, intruder...I want to know her name first" and since then no bella, no isabella, kaitlyn, nor Anora even when Leliana did made an effort and I recognize her skills but the warden was bewitched.

So I see that's how mirror world looks, Morrigan. XD  Hmmmm.

Anyway. Strange. I had the sudden urge to draw non-chibi Morrigan in a space ship. Or airplane. Whatever. Haha. Though I think she'll disapprove. XD

Yeah, the way I see in RPing as a male Cousland is she is the first good thing that happens after becoming a Warden. You lose pretty much everything that defined you prior to recruitment, not that your prospects were all that good seeing how Fergus was set up to take over Highever once Bryce and Eleanor passed or stepped down. Also he even had a male heir lined up for himself in the way of Oren (sp?) your nephew. The best you were gonna do is maybe become part of the Bannorn or marry another noble's daughter, or just serve Highever in some sort of military position.

So its a sedate life of middling noblehood to look forward to. Its established that you're quite capable in the art of war as a Rogue or Warrior so a quiet life of minding the troops or bustling about an estate is far from the excitement of combat and adventure.

Then the sh*t hitteth the fan and you're suddenly without family or home, inducted into an ancient order of badasses that recruit from the entire breadeth of every race and social order in Thedas. So yay combat, boo no longer having anything that defined you.

So you're just The Warden. Not a cousland, not a noble, thats all done for. You have beardo, blondie, and the two stooges for company. You head out into the woods and suddenly... there she is. This smart talking, enigmatic, wild woman that exudes that quiet confidence that reminds you so much of your Mother in her youth. I mean c'mon, your parents were part of the Rebellion against the Orlesian occupation, you descend from ancient nobility and freedom fighters.

Suddenly things aren't so bad, she helps you out on your path to becoming a Grey Warden, and you even meet her family. You find out they're illegal mages living in the "bad part of Ferelden" and now she's this "bad girl". Now you're really interested, but alas you must go... and apparently die.

You wake up from what could've been a horrid nightmare to her beautiful face. Ah, it was a horrible dream. Then she tells you the truth and you're thrust into a destiny you didn't want or ask for. But hey she gets pawned off on your thanks to her Mother's insistence, so now you've got all the time you need to get to know her.

But oh f*ck, Alistair starts mouthing off at her. Ain't that just like a buddy to codblock you?

So yeah thats how I see it beginning for a male Cousland. She's the one good thing in your life, whether she knows it or not. Because you met her when you were no one and had nothing, no titles, no pomp and circumstance, just your words and actions to prove you're worth something. To her.

Lol, that's why she waited for me while approaching the mirror, she knows, she knows. Even when I was considering helping Caridin against Branka here she comes and persuades me otherwise is not only the warden who has a silver tongue she is quite good as well. ;)

If I knew how to submit fanfic in the DArt I would have write some conversations during origins.B)

'Tis easy, ser. Instead of clicking on the "add file" button on the submission page, it is simply a matter of selecting the button next to it that says "add text". 'Tis so simple Alistair could do it!

That's why the warden can be called stubborn for wanting to fight, by any means necessary but at the end accepting the duty of staying at the castle

So you're just The Warden. Not a cousland, not a noble, thats all done for. You have beardo, blondie, and the two stooges for company. You head out into the woods and suddenly... there she is. That's what started the hatred towards him the most, mouthing off Morrigan was a big mistake. I really hate that character and personally I'm glad he isn't important for the dragon age universe, Ferelden could do well without him and seeing in "darkspawn chronicles" it was a danger for everyone to lead as well as the blight, he is the useless buddy every group has, glad to see he is not even worthy of a dlc anything extra would be a "self thrown bone" to appease their fans but freedom is freedom, opinions are opinions and well every piece of the chess board is necessary at some point. That's why loghain says about the puppet and the puppeteer he knew all too well.

So yeah thats how I see it beginning for a male Cousland. She's the one good thing in your life, whether she knows it or not. Because you met her when you were no one and had nothing, no titles, no pomp and circumstance, just your words and actions to prove you're worth something. To her.

That's how I see it too and she is the one character to induce me to delve into dragon age, the dlc, the playthrough and the future of her story and part in the game that has yet to be told, she is very interesting and more important, just have to wait for her part in the board to move forward and hopefully along with the warden.

Out of topic, I read L_A and said: "who's that? oh yeah that's me!" lol:lol:
