Hahaha. This conversation made me chuckle. XD

So esbatty, looks like it does mean Acces is denied for Vann Cousland later on in In the land of ever. XD

The Land of Ever, Highever, Neverland, it doesn't matter.  Pregnant chicks are bat**** nuts. (I hope my wife doesn't see this...*gets blankets for couch*)

See I used far more pleasant terms. Although now I shall consider investing in fold out couches should marriage or even cohabitating living arrangements ever be broached.Posted Image

Get used to seeing this face...A LOT!

Of course, being married to a real life Morrigan probably makes my situation a tad different...

I am pro-angry/displeased Morrigan face. More is good times.

But if you mean on other women... particularly pregnant women, I shall also stock up on shiny shiny things.

Shiny things don't help. Nothing helps. Not even hiding. They come and find you.

And yes, Morrigan is quite hot when she is annoyed. But is there a time when she isn't?

I've avoided any and all discussions about DA2 since I have no intentions of ever playing that game (no Morrigan, no point) but the idea of the witch making an appearance for DA3 is most interesting. However, given the fact that Bioware has repeatedly dropped the ball when it comes to our favorite witch, I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Oh, I'm sure some brave soul will jump on the grenade that is DA2 to inform the Morri thread here if there is any Morrigan related info to be had. I'm sure DA2 will be "ok" but I'd be going through it scrounging for Morrigan info and likely come away disappointed like Awakening.

Since I preordered the DA2 signature edition I'll be more than happy to share my impressions with all of you. B)

Ditto, preordered that with a quickness! Gonna do what I did with ME1, make Esbat Hawke/Shepard and let her dispense snark and good tidings. Then second playthrough play as "me" as Hawke/Shepard, and learn from Esbat's mistakes.

I'm gonna actually read the codex entries on my first playthrough as opposed to on the third/fourth playthrough, scouring for Morrigan info.

So was you wife against the thought of getting married like Morrigan? XD I'm curious how you got her to say yes, and then I will see if the tactic can be applied to Morri-Morri. xD

My wife is so like Morrigan it's actually creepy. Who do you think I used as inspiration to fill in the blanks for my fics?

As for proposing to her....Oh, God. I barely survived the encounter. Her answer wasn't a yes or no..she said "What? Are you stupid? Why do you always have to ruin everything?"

It took a lot of charm and patience on my part until she finally said to me "So, are we going to get married, or what?"

20 years (!!!) and 3 kids later, and we're still going strong.

I've got my canon Hawke all planned out. Female mage who'll romance Isabela and, together with Varric, they'll get into all sorts of trouble.

Oh, I'm not fooling anyone, I'll likely get it too, but not at least until we see some PC gameplay. I'm banking on it getting cheaper sometime through Christmas time too, as I'm not going to pay $60 for a game which we haven't seen one drop of footage of.

Given my inherent disdain for Hawke, my 1st playthrough will be a total a-hole thats a total misanthrope and Hawke will totally go for any Ultimate sacrifice type option. He'll know his role to get out of the way for the Warden and Morrigan's glorious return in DA3.:wizard:

If you denounce Morrigan as an apostate in the Circle, she has an epic glare moment as well.

That only works on me if there is a certain red head Master S.

See ya on the other side...

Okay I'm looking for other insights into how they think Morrigan would do as a Mother? Personally, with an infant or toddler, I think she could squeak by simply caring for the babe. But with an actual child I think this where she'd end up taking more of a father's role - more disciplinarian and not quite stern but more - like a guide in life. With a teen I think she'd more apt to take a step back and depending on the child's apititude for magic would either be their mentor/instructor or (if they didn't have any magical ability) here she'd be more practical in teaching them how to "live"/"survive" in the world.

When it comes down to it, I don't believe would "Feel like a parent" but rather she'd come to regard her offspring as a friend. Someone she cares for but their relationship is more a meeting of minds than "mother and child". After a while I believe an adult-child of Morrigan's would be more capable socially thanks to being treated as a "person" by Morrigan rather than being babied.

It's hard to say for sure.  We all know that Morrigan is a lot softer on the inside than she lets on.  But there is more to being a parent than being someone who lays down the law.  As the child grows, so does the parent's experience.  Being a friend to your offspring, especially at first, is the worst thing any parent can do, yet it's a mistake many parents make. It's not something I see Morrigan doing.  She'll understand the child needs a mother, not a friend.

As I've said before, pregnancy changes a woman.  Sometimes very drastically.  It's something we men will never understand fully.  But I think Morrigan would make an excellent mother who teaches her children well.  She's a lot more logical than most women (sorry ladies, no offense meant, but it's true) so she does have that going for her.  She'd be more driven by the need of the situation rather than by love.   But still, I can see her worrying about her child when it is sick just as any other mother would.  Not even the witch can escape nature.

Just my two cents.

Nah, I appreciate it. I'm just one person with my own experiences with my own mother and observing friends and family members who deal with their own kids, plus book learnings, but I've never been married nor sown my Maric-oats so I've no personal connection there. Thus why I'm asking.

I didn't consider her logical side playing a factor, i rely more on her relationship with Flemeth and her interaction with Dog (the closest approximation to a baby as you can get in-game... other than Alistair *BUUUUUUUUUURN*), to make my assesment.
