Anyone seen this one before?

Yeah, thats from before Origins was out as I recall- Polish, maybe?

Similar to this one, with Sacred Ashes Morrigan going all Emperor Palpatine with the lightning:

It would have been cool to see and fight ogres with clubs as the picture shows, trying to evade the smash or the swings, that would have add more challenge even on easy mode.

That would be important for all of us  who wants to keep her the same way, still...I think I'm willing to wait
how she would look in the future after some time have passed, maybe she  could look even better! (it could be possible), and if she looks less  good compared to origins then the changing mods are well deserved. Kinda
like a good back up plan [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

Well, I'm more wondering not so much if they age her and have her look different that way, but more in line of the fact that they redid the entire face morph system for DA2, so they can't make her look exactly the same now even if an insignificant amount of time passes between DA2 and her next appearance. I'd hate it if they did an Isabela on her or just messed with her face much at all compared to how it was in Origins simply due to the new face morph system. That lack of visual continuity kills me.

I agree on that, also because I don't think it should pass that much time in the chronology from DA2 and her next appearance, besides of pulling an "DA2 isabelan" on Morrigan, another thing that would kill me would be if they don't cast Claudia again, changing face AND the voice...a:  "what the...."$&"#"&&!!!! is to be expected. Hope that wouldn't  happen.

Laidlaw has gone on to say that in regards to VAs for popular past characters they'd go out of their way to rehire the past VAs. Anyone other than Claudia Black performing Morrigan would be a gamebreaker even if my warden was back. Thats like giving me decaf when I clearly ordered a regular coffee, I don't want bitter black water I want COFFEE! I WANT WHAT I ORDERED!

Claudia Black is Morrigan.  Not having her do the voice is like James T. Kirk not being played by William Shatner...
Wait...crap...they did that.  *grumbles*

It's like Superman not being played by Christopher Reeve.
Well, ****.  They did that, too...

Okay, okay, I got it.  It's like Kermit the Frog not being done by Jim Henson.
Aww..dammit!

So we agree that if in case they don't bring Claudia Black...back, it would be a terrible terrible thing besides changing the face morph that much.

BTW, I'm reading the Orbs of Arastani...really great work!!! I'm on chapter 3 because I've just started ealier today (but I was busy during the day) and I was wondering while reading OA, where does "CFT: A day in the life" fits into?, before chapter 2 or 3?.

Well, thanks!  I appreciate that a lot!  CFT:II fits in between chapters 2 and 3 of OoA, as does CFT:VII
It actually started out as the first part to chapter 3, but I edited it out because I was never all that happy with it.  I was trying to avoid bogging down the story.

Ah ok, I was about to start reading Chapter 3, but I'll go and read CFT II and CFT VII then chapter 3. Also I read the other CFT's the one of the birthday, nothing like a cold beer in a time where fridges didn't exist nor they were even concieved for creation, Morrigan is indeed clever, that was a good one!!.

A lot of people seem to really like the CFT series a lot.  I think CFT:IV is the one guys like best while the ladies seem to prefer the first one and CFT:V.

Like they say, beer can't ever be too cold.:o

Hey! Posted Image

Not trying to be vain or anything but since you're bringing up Fanfic regarding Morrigan, how do you feel about other's portrayal of Morrigan in other fics?

I read an awesome chapter a while back during a FF binge, where it a piece about Morrigan's past where Flemeth had Morrigan lose her virginity to a frightened, captured Templar. It so well written and really in character for both Flemeth and Morri, and I felt so bad for both Morrigan and the Templar. *searches around* I think it was a chapter from Maria13's Dark Ritual story.

But I've come across other fics where Morrigan is a horrendous b**ch, it got to the point where I started a whole new playthrough trying all kinds of dialogue combos and reloads to find this bitter streak. But I think its my proclivity for playing Morrigan romancing male wardens that may cause me to not see this mean streak.

But yeah anyone else find anything interesting of note from Morrigan or Morrigan involved fics?

I've read a few fanfics, but a lot of the time, if she's the romantic interest mostly, Morrigan is turned into some sappy loved starved creature, hardly what I would call an accurate portrayal of her.  There are some really excellent fics out there.  I'm sure you are all familiar with Ximena's Demons Within, which is one I really enjoy, even if deviantart hates my POS-1000 and hangs up continually when I try to view it.

Face it.  Morrigan is a ****( slang term for female dog).  Understanding why is where it gets fun.

And in a time where you can't have any ice cubes just like that, that gift was a pinnacle of well used apostate magic and knowing all too well the loved one. Returning from a hard day's work of slaying and saving is just good to come back to a tent with a beautiful witch and bringing a bucket of cold beer, it just works every time, in any lore and in any universe.

Xi's comic is indeed awesome. I never expected to find an original full graphic novel experience, let alone one that is well characterized.

But I myself have not found any of these sappy love starved Morrigan fics. I've found a destable Alistair/Morrigan fic once. I was afraid. A bit nauseous. Questioned my sanity and the possibility I was still asleep and merely having a terrible nightmare.Posted Image

I'm partially new to the fanarts and fanfics, that's why up until now I'm reading OoA, but I've been reading "in the land of ever" even when the writer has lost the will to write!!!! that's another good fanfic, also Ximena's DW, my favorite fanart and I read one called "the third option" it portrays Morrigan very very well and the warden as a more in control of everything a mix of loghain's strategic thinking and cousland cleverness of why things would work out.

Call it a weakness but I just can't go an play the bad warden with her, no refusal for the DR, no just friendship, nor lower approval and least of all, no stabbing.

Morrigan might be a **** or another way of looking at it is that she is one woman who can't be controlled, she can only accept some partial control but she will never surrender to anyone easily to the point of revealing her emotions, she is one strong woman that's why I like her.

I always thought of Morrigan like an egg: Covered in a hard shell unless you figure out how to crack it.  And then you find the inside is all soft and gooey, even if she does keep trying to fix the shell.

I suppose that it would have been like this:
Morning: Bracilian quest
Afternoon: Curse lifting (option of still killing the wolves for the aggravation in the case of having too much Morrigan's influence and go all anakin-darh vadder against the separatist )
Supper: Birthday present, cold beer from a beautiful mutually loved dark haired hazel eyes witch
(tune in the game or tourney, winning the bet against alistair)
Night: tent time!!!

With or without a castle state, or in a tent what else do a warden needs when you can have won bettings, tunning games, cold beer and most importantly a beautiful witch? life is good!!!

Not if they have golden eyes and can shoot lightning bolts at you.
Although the idea of eating Morrigan (omelette, where was your mind?) does sound appealing.
