I have a few saves before the Final Onslaught, before the ritual, and one where I did talk to Morrigan "about last night". I just downloaded all the DLC and installed Awakening. My character romanced Morrigan and I am wondering after installing the "Morrigan Restoration Patch Dialog Fixpack".
- Where should I pick up my origins play through to get both slides?
- Do I need the ring in my inventory (doesn't sound like it but just want to make sure)
- What order should I play the DLC and Awakening in?
Again, I *think* that Terra_Ex's Morrigan dialogue fix should work retroactively just fine, but I can't remember exactly. In any event, once you install that, I'd probably try to load up a save game before where you talk to Morrigan "about last night" after you've said goodbye to everyone in Denerim.
I *think* that with Terra's mod, you might be able to just load up some save closer to the end of Origins and you'll get the Morrigan ring epilogue still, but I'm not 100% sure of that. You could try that first though just to see if it works- just load up a save towards the very end to just quickly see what epilogue slide you get.
Hmmm...I 'm not sure if you need the ring in your inventory or not. But I'd likely just keep it on your Warden anyway for RP reasons. There is a very cool dialogue to the ring in Witch Hunt, but I'm not sure if its triggered by actually having the ring or if it fires simply if you romanced Morrigan no matter what. But its probably not a bad idea to just keep it on your Warden for safe keeping.
The DLC breaks down like this:
Leliana's Song, Darkspawn Chronicles are both entirely standalone to Origins. Leliana's Song is really a prequel explaining some of Leliana's backstory, while Darkspawn Chronicles is an alternate universe what if type scenario. So you can play those whenever.
Warden's Keep, and Return to Ostagar fit into Origins itself, so you could treat those like any other quest. You could play those after you've beaten Origins by using the post epilogue save if you want too, but they fit well into Origins and I think they work best if you play them on a new run.
The rest go chronologically after Origins: Origins--> Awakening--> Golems of Amgarrak--> Witch Hunt
I think Awakening is supposed to happen about 6 months after Origins, with Golems taking place sometime after Awakening and then Witch Hunt happens 1-2 years after Origins. SO basically, just make sure Witch Hunt is the last one you play.

I've yet to play through Awakenings or any DLC. But plan on finishing it all soon. But having played a game where I romanced Morrigan I am worried about running into a bug or some disappointing ending. Especially since I missed out Arcane Warrior, ugh I just don't want to miss anything like that again.
Yeah, just make sure you have the updated version 1.1 of Witch Hunt, as it was really buggy when it first came out. And Awakening has some significant bugs you might run into.

Is any of this effecting DA2? Any word on that? Where would I go to read about it? I'm curious how any of the outcomes in the play-throughs [/i]effect DA2.
Thanks for all the helpful posts!
Well, the developers have said that Morrigan will not be in DA2. In most interviews and such on your Origins choices affecting DA2, they say that the ruler of Ferelden, what race/sex your Warden was and who killed the Archdemon will be some of the sort of things that get carried over and recognized.
In terms of Morrigan specifically, Gaider has mentioned that the Dark Ritual choice is the biggest one in Origins, so I'd guess (or hope) they're just saving that for DA3 or some future game. You do have this quote from Mark
Darrah at Joystiq on Morrigan:
"We will import your decisions, in choices like who became king and the male/female gender of the Warden," Darrah said.
"In terms of Witch Hunt decisions, we will be importing them into the game, but Morrigan doesn't have a huge role in Dragon Age 2, so it's more about having them for the future and making sure that we keep those. We will be maintaining and preserving those decisions, but we may not have a big reaction to them in DA2."
But if you're one of those people who can't wait to see what happened to Morrigan, Darrah offers hope: [b]"We're definitely not done with Morrigan."
