Until WH I'd presumed that the ritual had been done in most or all of the previous blights and the offspring were female. Obviously that train of thought was wrong. I interpreted Morrigan's warning to mean that she was bringing about the change, but that's also probably wrong and she's just being an opportunist.

As to the description of the Mirror of Transformation, well I never expected to hear about the Copenhagen many worlds quantum theory in a fantasy game.

Maybe there is a change to come and maybe for a better outcome, she might play a big part of it with the boy (and hopefully with the warden too).

What it made me consider her intentions was the part she talks about freedom and how she tried to skip that dialogue regarding what she wants (likely her freedom) but that again is yet to be known and we can just so far  theorize in DA2 and thought about it in DA3.

We are all opportunist and we seize opportunities when whe chose to, she just sees them and does try to take the advantage of the opportunity, like in the circle of Magi, when it was in chaos she saw the perfect time and opportunity to look for the grimoire, that is really good and clever of her I respect that from Morrigan she is not dumb to let the opportunities pass along, wich could be one of the most fatal mistakes in mankind, not seizing opportunities.

I think the situation at Circle Tower just made finding the "grimoire" a bit easier.  Knowing Morrigan, she would have tried to find it even if everything was perfectly fine. Don't get me wrong, I still think she's an opportunist as well, but it was the opportunity of being away from Flemeth that allowed her to persue her own goals.

When we get to 500, would we be the longest DA thread?

We retain our most sophisticated thread position, alongside the Loghain thread. :D

I agree, I think she had the grimoire on her mind from the beginning and she didn't talk about it to the WArden because it would have been too random that it might have looked suspicious.

She knows that we are going to the Circle, so I think she opted to wait till we get there.

Yeah.  We totally got used.  But that's ok.  At least I got some nookie out of the deal and all it cost me was a book.

The reward is even higher with a second book and fighting a shapeshifted dragon, nookies yes, tent time no but she falling in love yes.

She always have her objectives in mind, plus the principal quest she doesn't derrail from the main goal and she expressed it clearly when the warden talks with the Guardian at the temple and one choses not to answer his question. She is one focused woman.

Terra_Ex has updated the Morrigan Restoration Patch with some nifty "Lets make kissy face" action with Morrigan amongst some other stuff, if you're all so inclined. Download it here or here.

Oh, and you have this tidbit from the old forums on what seems like what was a banter between Alistair and Morrigan that never made it in the game or was just something Gaider came up with. INteresting nevertheless and adds some fuel to the fire regarding just how 100% human Morrigan really is:

Alistair: "Isn't it a bit cold to dress like that in the Wilds?"
Morrigan: "I do not feel the temperature as you do, if you must know."
Alistair: "I'll wager you don't feel a great many things as we do."

And this is reason numero uno why we need a toolset update- Morrigan and the Origins crew dancing to Thriller:

Interesting... I'm tempted to do one last DAO DAA GOA WH run, but I don't know I wanna' grind though all the dull stuff (Fade, Deep Roads, the Bridge) again...

Its perfect timing for me, as I'm doing a quick run with what will likely be my canon Amell. Just set it to easy and blast through, combined with Skip the Fade and its not too bad.

Is there also a "fast forward through the Deep Roads and Golems of Amgarrak" mod out there as well? lol

If I do another run, I might tack on a few new appearance mods (like altering Isabela to more resemble her DA2 appearance)

Nice. Good job with getting the angry kiss to work, Terra. Gonna have to set aside some time in February to play through again.

Hehe closing in on 500, epic dudes and dudettes, almost there :D

Running my last origins run now, and courtesy of the skip the fade mod not making the transition from winxp to win7 on my new rig without stopping to work due to a missed file resulted in me...gasp...having to play through the damn fade again....sigh it was boring....very boring....SOOO BORING xD

Still a slightly off topic question: Between which levels of approval does wynne's personal quest trigger? I.e. the random encounter where she discovers her power. During my last playthrough i managed to skip it somehow which caused it to only be my second last run...must...achieve...perfection xD

Since I've not been around for a while (New Vegas, stuff I nabbed during the Steam sale and external DA2 pessimism threads have been more of a draw than BSN of late) its good to see the Morri thread still lives on. I might as well write something...

Yeah, I thought you guys would prefer that I spent time on enhancing MRP rather than epic ranting. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/bandit.png[/smilie]

I'll have to resist reading anything from Gaider or Laidlaw atm Brock, certain semi-recent quotes from both have left me at a loss for words tbh.

I don't find the idea of a Morri/Warden wedding particularly plausible, we got the mirror ending though which is somewhat fitting, I guess. On a related note the scene we discussed is progressing nicely, though slower than I'd like.

Heh,
modded Origins completely eclipses the vanilla game (which is already decent). There's loads of great mods out now but sadly I don't have the time to play them and I already have a huge backlog of other games that need completing.

Just enable the console and use "runscript killallhostiles" repeatedly. Or if you fancy making things less boring use slinks s3 RAVAge mod to randomise encounters and crank up the difficulty - should be a standard feature of more games imo.

Had to poke my nose in to Morriland when I saw Terra_Ex's sweet-as-pie Cousland pop up. :D

That video is hilarious, I was in serious threat of Office LOL at Teagan and at Oghren breakdancing.

Ha- having just finished New Vegas this past weekend, I have a feeling its going DA2 is going to be like somebody dumping freezing water on me when it comes to RP between the 2. Considering it would seem non combat skills aren't in DA2 and so much of my enjoyment in NV came from resolving quests with you non combat skills like Science, Repair, Speech and so forth. But, I've got it preordered anyway, so I'll be the barometer as to whether to recommend it to my friends.

And yeah, lurking around other forums, and its rather amazing the level of vitriol DA2 is garnering, some fairly and some not as much. The Steam forums for DA2 makes BSN look tame.

Terra_Ex wrote...

Heh- I fired up Origins and installed the new version and I was right at killing Flemeth last night so I saw the nice cutscene returning back to camp. Excellent stuff!

Oh, I'm sure epic rants will spring back to life come DA2's release. Unless there is nothing to be had even for speculation fuel regarding Morrigan there. Cause quite frankly, the whole Morrigan/Flemeth/OGB plot is the sole reaason I'm keeping my preorder now.

I could post a few more drawings that Elyssa sent me, if it's Morrigan pics you crave. But I don't think I could get away with posting them here, lol. They might cause some people to blush.
