 so...there ARE lurkers about in the Morri thread Lol . Thanks for the high fives and hope it would be a good sketch. I'm glad that I can tell certain person I was right  :D

Tis intimidating in here... besides, by lurking we leave all the heavy work to Brockololly and Terra. =]

Well...by that course of action I can't argue.

Some of my other favorites really fine arts with excellent detail and looking absolutely beautiful.

Yay for 500 pages of Morri goodness and rants.

Here's some bathtime Morri, replete with sponges and rubber ducks:

Here is to 500 more! And some damn answers and a brilliant resolution to Morrigan/Warden/Old God Baby! (Yeah, yeah, I can dream...)

Haha, ever the comedian, Brock.  Still, if nothing else, how that is handled/mishandled will be a source of b****ing material in the future. Like you, I hold on to a small thread of hope that we'll hopefully see some divergence and meaningful resolution, but more than likely it'll be a one-size fits all affair, the slate wiped clean for the sake of convenience, served up with a codex entry or something equally underwhelming.

B-b-but this is what this thread is famous for! Those highly analyzed walls of text that take some time to read!

Indeed, though they've been absent of late due to lack of new material.

*must resist urge to post my thoughts on ongoing rants*

And some more fanart, not sure if it's been posted before:

The Werewolf Attack by Aztarieth

I fear the DA2 crew will have a similar reaction to that of the werewolves when they witness the "revised" darkspawn designs...

On the side note; I've got almost 100 pieces of Morrigan fanart on my PC. If I ever went on a posting spree of all that, we'd easily gain aproximately another 20 pages. And that's just pictures of solo Morrigan..

I had hundreds of screenshots from the game(not just Morrigan) but I had to format my old disk. :(

I don't even have DAO installed now... Might replay it after I finish with the Witcher. God, the combat mechanics in that  game are terrible.

Quick Question:
If you gift Morrigan the mirror after speaking to her at Dragon's Peak do you still get the ring epilogue AND the Awakening epilogue?

The Witcher's combat system truly is one long campaign of making field goals in Madden, I swear to God. I couldn't last through it and I tried so badly!

I reinstalled Dragon Age the other day to play the Baldur's Gate mod and damn if it isn't amazing. I would pay sixty bucks right now for Bioware to port it over. No, seventy. Maybe more. I'd lose years to it. Make a Morri-Drow morph for Viconia and I'd be set.

I figure once I shake off the rust I'll make a new PC since I've had a lot of time, grab a bunch of newer mods, and finally give a Human Noble sword and board guy a shot. If only I could die to the Archdemon yet have 'good' closure with Morrigan, it would all wrap up so nicely!

I asume by "Dragon's Peak" you mean the battle of Denerim at the end of the game, right after the dark ritual?

If so, then yes.

After you clear out the darkspawn at the gates and speak tp Riordan, all of your companions (including Morrigan) will give you their "farewell" speeches.
If you talk to her again after that and bring up "I want to talk about last night", you'll break the romance but get the ring epilogue. After the post-coronation and the ending slides, just load up the newly made auto-save, talk to Morrigan in camp and give her the mirror. Say it's a "gift for a beautiful woman" and your romance will reactivate. Save the game here and import that save into Awakening and you'll get the "Searching for Morrigan" epilogue there.

Unless you happen to be on the PC. In that case just install Terra_X Morrigan restoration patch and you'll get both epilogues without having to use the mirror trick.

Well...just finished the game for the first time the other night(a bit late to the party, I know..) and I just had to come in here and state that Morrigan is awesome. 'nuff said? I played as a DC, romanced Morrigan all the way through...and it was pretty much amazing. She is by far my fav character in the game...as soon as I finished the game I started Witch Hunt and have now finished that too...and again, an amazing ending to our relationship(Even though now I am quite upset that I can't continue on with Morrigan in DA2...) In DAO, me and Morrigan made our baby and then she ran away...and I felt heartbroken. I felt used by her a bit yes...but I could feel her pain for leaving me and I couldn't help but love her more. Even our goodbye at the gates of Denerim...amazing. And we walked through the mirror in WH, of course. I just had to post here to share that though...she has her detracting qualities, who amongst us doesn't? She's very naive in the ways of the world and incredibly vulnerable(despite hiding it pretty well) and socially inept. But despite all that, I still fell for her. Oops. Anyways, mad props to the Bioware writers for making a character like her. I'm going to feel a little weird on my next playthrough not having her as my best friend...

Brings back memories of how more upset I was in that darkest period between having finished Awakening and before Witch Hunt was announced, after DAII was revealed to be something quite different. While I am grateful I got closure, I would have preferred more Warden-Morri-OGB follow-up. I continue to hope DA3 may be along those lines.

I missed it but congrats to our 500th page on this thread, Morrifans!

That's how I picture there moments of temporary bliss during OGB's early years. Man, he look like both parent's mostly Dad with Mom's eyes. Parents raise him as a benevolent depot type, dad teaches fighting, while mom teaches long lost powerful magic rivaling Flemeth's. A bit like Paul Atreides was taught the Wierding Way of the Bene Gesserit clandestinely by his mother Jessica.

Hey all, another latecomer to the party here.Just finished the entire arc (even if awakening was just awful) with my main man, Theron the dale elf warrior who was also head over heels for Morrigan. The story got kinda cute with how opposite but similar the two were, with both being raised in the wilds and its harsh laws but the dale being very communal as opposed to the hermit ways of Flemeth and Morri.Maybe i just got lucky with my choices, but the ending was just beautiful with both of them stepping through the eluvian and fitted the my story of the romance and the pair incredibly well.A happy ending if there ever was one, and a nice way to close the book on the Warden.

As a side note, did anyone else notice Morrigan greeting the Dog quite warmly at the eluvian despite their previous friction? (well, friction meaning that Morri didn't like dogs :P) I liked how that little thing showed how far Morrigan had come as a person :)

Anyways, thats my intro to the Morri thread. So hi2u o/

Welcome Roamingmachine.

Don't let Morri fool you, she's got a real weakness for that dog, as evidenced by the banter between them. It's no coincidence that the mabari goes to Morrigan when begging for a snack and the witch caves in every time.

Here's a short comic that does a great job of showing the relationship between Morri and Dog:
