You know, at one point I was really really hoping for a Zevran cameo. Now I'm really dreading one. If he's treated anything like he was treated in the DLCs or Awakening (his couple of mentions were not very flattering), it won't be great. Apparently for DA2, they decided instead of appealing to the people who loved Origins (after all, we have bad taste), they decided to appeal to people who DIDN"T like DAO so they're assuring all the people who complainted about Origins (you know, that multi-award winning best selling game) that they changed it now.
Weird decision :/
Yeah, I saw the "spoiler" regarding Zevran. I'll be curious as to how they recognize (or don't) the Warden who romanced Zevran in that case. Relevant to even Wardens who romanced Morrigan, since if they just ignore that relationship I'd be dubious as to how much attention they'd give it should Morrigan show up again in the future.
Although, it is possible that any Zevran cameo only shows up under certain import conditions- so maybe he only shows up if you didn't romance him or something?

Haha:crying:

I hope the DA2 characters are even half as good as those from Origins but for a whole host of reasons I have my doubts.
Although, reading that spoiler thread, I think I know who the final boss is and....well, maybe I can see how Morrigan's "Change" might work in there. But I'm avoiding the DA2 forums for now for fear of further spoilers, since its only about a week away.

Or it could all be bugged and he shows up even if you killed him kinda like Wynne in Awakening for some people.
The whole "reunion tour" is a bit concerning, though. I don't mind one or two cameos/returns to add to the continuity, but it seems like everyone the Warden knew is winding up in Kirkwall. It's Revan/KOTOR2 all over again...
I'm someone who prefers spoilers (they save me from crap!), so I don't mind the sudden crush of info regarding DA2. Now, just to get a hold of some appearance mods...

I just hope Zev doesn't look like a Na'Vi rip-off as well like the other elf they have been marketing. I will truly start to fear for Morrigan's inevitable redesign if so.

I think most here cringe at the sight of Morrigan modds (I personally scream "Abomination!!" everytime). So as much as I'd hate to see it, it would also be interesting to see the reactions
If I was a Bioware employee, that would so be my April Fool's joke:
"Morrigan, new look! New voice actor! She never loved the Warden and wnats to eat the OGB! She is evillz! The only way to kill her is via very slow torture! Oh and she thinks Hawke is hotter than the Warden!"

Wait, where's the April Fools? That seems rather inline with the current DA2 marketing. 'From the creators that brought you Baldurs Gate, Knights of the Old Republic, and Mass Effect...if you did not like Dragon Age: Origins, have we got a game for you!'
I'm fully well aware of you folks and your stodgy hatred of Morrigan appearance mods. I still don't care what you say, DA redesigned is an improvement. IMPROVEMENT!

Oh yeah, I'm also glad I'm not the only one who is annoyed by all the trashing going on about the first game. Are they insecure or something? It's ridiculous.
Hey, remember that piece of trash game with the lame mute character and the clunky combat? We have a sequel that is 100 times better! Think like a general, fight like a spartan!!11!!1

I detest 99.9% of Morrigan mods that try to mistakenly make her look like the SA version or Victoria Johnson under the belief that thats somehow how she is truly supposed to look. Half the time they end up making her look like a mutated pig.
The only face morph that is ok in my book is from Adneate:

Its very subtle and looks decent IMO. But I still stick with the vanilla Morrigan face every time.

They are redesigning her as we speak. By the time DA3 comes out she's gonna look like she jumped out of Japanese manga.

Thing is, since most of the leads on DA2 were not the same leads on DAO, I'll be curious to see just how critical they'll be of DA2 when they release DA3. Or if suddenly DA2 fixed everything and they just have to make minor tweaks to DA3 since they fixed all the stodgy crap leftover from that abomination of a game that was Origins. Bah. I'll shut up now before the thread gets locked.

I was extremely pissed off when Silverman started spouting off about how Origins with its attention to background detail and clunky combat was terrible and that they're fixing the problems with DA2.
I happened to like the "clunky" combat and I loved the attention to detail (the Library in Broken Circle is one of my favorite parts) >.<. And now I read the article in which someone at Bioware said they wanted the CoD fanbase for DA2. *sniffle*

Even before Witch Hunt came out some of you already knew how the ending would play out.

Spoilers can save me from crappy content.
Spoilers usually just tell WHAT happens, and not necessarily HOW it happens. They're two different things.

With respect to Witch Hunt, I think people were pissed off after reading the Gamespot preview as it basically spoiled the ending. So that wasn't really intentional.

Yeah. I'm not going on the DA2 forums anymore since I read most of that thread. Truthfully, there are only maybe 2 things that somewhat surprised me from all that which I didn't already know or probably wouldn't have figured out over the course of playing the game.
I didn't spoil myself really at all with Origins so for example, the whole DR thing with Morrigan came out of no where- but combined with the lack of dialogue options and such, that was like a "WTF" type of bad surprise. And obviously, her motivations as for doing it still don't make much sense. So, yeah, I think I know just enough spoilers in DA2 to sort of see how the overall plot may be working, but the connections between everything are not clear to me. And the ending is still a mystery to me beyond what reviews have said concerning a cliffhanger.
And hell, sometimes spoilers can lessen disappointment if you know something you were looking forward to isn't there and let you enjoy what is there.

Whats that? You didn't hear how at the end Hawke leads a huge revolution only to have one giant Eluvian portal open up to have Morrigan in newly found dragon form fly out with the Warden and Old God Baby riding as they have one big family fun time conquering Thedas?

Hell even "Seductress" Flemeth looks more like Morrigan. But now I'm tempted to make a FemHawke that matches Morrigan as closely as possible just out of curiosity that it can be done.

Thats precisely the first thing I'm going to try in the character creator. I question how well it will work since Morrigan has a unique face shape in DAO, which I don' t think you can replicate with the vanilla CC without using the toolset. And I'm not sure we'd be able to match the eyes or the hair style or crazy eye shadow. But dammit man, I'll try!

Now that being said maybe with the new tweaks and sliders in the DA2 CC we can pull off a fairly decent Morrigan Hawke lol

I couldn't edit this in any way for some reason, so I created a space within for the following paragraph, because while it doesn't contain any actual specific spoilers, it may have some vague hints at some of the plot elements. Just scroll through if you want to skip it.
**************************************************************************************************************************
I also, for some reason (probably apathy over DA2's new story direction) completely looked at the massive spoiler thread. I really don't like that they pigeonhole the surviving Hawke sibling to suffer one of 3 undesirable fates. I get the intent of emotional engagement, but I'm honestly not feeling it with the potential fates of Carver and Bethany. The potential cameos going on, other than returning party members or origins characters, is a little alarming to me, especially if things like Zevran coming to Kirkwall after the events of Origins happen regardless of what choices you make (and he's dead in all but two of my playthroughs). Also, cameos of important characters like Alistair are fine with me, but I seriously don't see the point of having Leliana/Zevran cameos, especially with Morrigan's already known absence from DA2. As for story spoilers... well I'm not sure how I feel about the Chantry being cast into the role of evil organization regardless of Hawke's choices. I know the pro-chantry stance is in the minority with players, and I'm not saying I'm pro-chantry myself. I just like being able to roleplay a chantry supporter and having the chantry/templars have redeeming qualities. Hopefully that kind of story aspect isn't screwed up.
***************************************************************************************************************************
One other thing I want to add: I liked Carver much better than Bethany. Bethany, as a character, I just couldn't empathize with at all. She was kinda a b**** and a ditz; at least that was my impression of her from the dialogue in the demo. She wasn't charismatic at all. If she was even a shred like Morrigan, I'd appreciate her character more.
I saw a post somewhere, I think it was one of Brock's, where the poster said that the current console generation is on its last legs so DA3 is the time to make it happen. The comment on the current console generation isn't entirely true yet. I saw an article in a game magazine (forgot which one, my apologies) where an article had an analysis from game experts of the current videogame climate, and the article stressed that based on studies, this current console generation is different because we have hit a current plateau in console graphics technology and it'll take much longer for consoles to reach the level necessary for a new generation of consoles. The article predicted a possible 10 more years for this to happen. That sounds very unlikely, but the article was an interesting read nonetheless, and if its right by any chance, then hopes can be relaxed. Given that, I seriously hope there is Warden/Morrigan resolution in DA3 and that DA3 comes out on a decent schedule after DA2.
once I have more time (probably around St. Pattys day), I'll post a pic of Morrigan in some favorite robes, and I'll probably play another planned Morrigan romance playthrough. I've made the decision that I'm only gonna try one romance playthrough because honestly, as far as Dragon Age goes, no romance for me has been as engaging and wonderful and powerful as Morrigan's was. I can use it as an excuse for any time I decide to make a male playthrough
