Like I said I'm optimistic because in the demo I saw alot of hair and faces that were spot on for NPC and Warden features in DAO. Wesley's face was damn near the HNM preset and his hair was clearly Alistair's. Some of the looks from the thugs from Izzy's ambush were identical to DAO npcs. I was pleasantly surprised of the way Hayder and some of his female cohorts looked. They had elongated/broader jaws and noses that couldn't be replicated in the DAO CC so I really can't wait to dig into the DA2 CC.

Now that being said maybe with the new tweaks and sliders in the DA2 CC we can pull off a fairly decent Morrigan Hawke lol

If not, I guess you could always hope that it could be accomplished in the DA2 toolset

FYI everyone, through the power of modding, the CC has been unlocked on the PC version of the DA2 demo.

Sucks that it doesn't seem to have Morrigan's hair style in it... get cracking on trying to make a Morrigan look-alike!

Well, I think that was part of the elven redesign package (compare Merril DAO to Merril DA2), so maybe Morrigan gets off easier than Zevran.

I think it's very bad. But the character is not a human, so maybe there is some hope. Still, I'd rather not have Morrigan show up now.

Hahahahaha.... ok I'm soiling myself now xD That is just horrid, ugh what a violation of a character. Still anders seems to be relatively true to his old looks so 1:1 in the good vs bad returning character design scorecard ;D

Still it makes me wonder how the hell they would handle morrigan if another major character gets screwed up that badly. Then again she was the posterchild for the one character they claimed they succeeded with in origins so I guess its at least not likely they will spend too little time on her...god damnit i hope I'm not wrong here and she pops up as EEE boobed anime style villain in da3 ;D

I've been avoiding the great spoiler thread in the DA2 forums so this info im fine with but appearantly some of the stuff there goes a bit too deep for my taste. Awakening i knew pretty much all the happens by the time i played it so I'm trying to avoid that as much as possible now so goodies like the pic of fail companion design from earlier have escaped my grasp

WTF BioWare. You take elves looking something humanoid and turn them into anorexic Na'vi's. I really feel bad for the Zevran fans. Its not enough they likely retcon the endings now, but they screw up Zevran's face. I mean, he looks like a strung out drug addict. *sigh*

Its bad alright. You can see some similarities, but the overall elf redesign is terrible beyond words. I really hope they get a new art director for any DA game in the future- its like Goldman and Laidlaw wanted to make Jade Empire 3 and are inflicting that on DA. Ugh...

Its hard to tell in the one of Leliana, but IMO, both she and Anders suffer the same bloated/jutting jaw look that every single person in this game has. But she doesn't look too bad. Her outfit is a bit more worrisome, just in how they're going to handle rectifying that with the romance epilogues. I just really hope that the game doesn't devolve into a Mages= good! Chantry/Templars=Bad! as thats really what it seems like its going to boil down to...

Seriously, I'm for cameos if they make sense, but it seems like they're shamelessly shoving as many cameos in as possible just for the hell of it. But without the Warden, you just end up with KOTOR 2 syndrome.

But still, I am glad Morrigan is not in this game all told. She seems to have escaped one disaster by ducking off into the Eluvian.

I would hope that these cameos are decision based. People who killed Zevran or Leliana wouldn't want them to be in DA2 I don't mind cameos, but it shouldn't be a reunion tour either. Awakening had less returning characters and it was essentially in the same place and with the same character from the opening installment.

I think most of these cameos are done just to somehow draw the attention of those specific characters' fanbases. Like we've said, it's starting to shape up to be KOTOR 2 all over again, and the Warden is Revan. I'm now starting to wonder how much we're going to hear about him. Year 9:31 or 9:32 is one thing, but are people still going to rant and rave about him in year 9:39?

Someone needs to post this Lel picture, Google failed me. The Zevran one, is that a release picture? Please tell me it's not. I could live with it being from an alpha, but if that shipped...shudder.

Sadly, the Warden can't compare to Revan. It was made very clear Revan was very important, and the second game reinforced that with his disappearance. Dragon Age - for good or ill based on your viewpoint - has made it clear the Warden was important, but he's not anymore. Based on interviews and Bioware forum posts, I expect them to take a few shots at him in his callbacks during DA2 even - I'm sure Isabela will have a suitable burn, and one of the companions will probably have a 'I like you way better than the last guy I traveled with, Hawke' line.

I guess it hinges on Morrigan as far as the Warden is concerned, DR or no DR. It seems the darkspawn will be involved in some way, shape, or form in Flemeth and Morrigan's little cosmic chess game, so as long as there are darkspawn and a threat of a Blight, there's still a use for an experienced, victorious Warden.

Maybe.

Well ladies and gentlemen, my decision clock for the number of times I'll be playing this game is firmly set to once unless something amazing happens. Poor Zevran... Leliana's new armor is worrisome, and god forbid they do anything worse to Alistair or Morrigan in this game.

Truly, I weep for what this intellectual property is becoming.

Zevran does look to be high with those eyes hehehe. I really don't care for the rest of the characters only Morrigan, the may look as they want but Morrigan...she MUST be unchangeable.

Don't look at the picture if you are a Zevran fan if not hehehee by all means. I'm in a waiting room in the hospital and thank God I have internet, my Father is going through a serious heart operation so to lighten the stress and worries I have during this entire week I'm glad that I manage to come here for a while. I may not support the templars but I do believe in the Maker as I believe in God so as it is time for DA3 and Morrigan reappearence it's also a time for waiting the operation goes well.

I'm quite glad of the cameos and even glad for what I've just seen that Morrigan is not in DA2, at the moment I'm high on faith and hope so I hope and have faith that Morrigan will be okay for the next game.
