Suffice it to say, the post_game_enabled variation is taken into account in the DA2 import. That's not to say new bugs won't surface though... And its not even just a case of a successful import, they flags have to be used properly in the dialogue and script files and if Morri's files in DA:O are anything to go by, that's cause for concern moving forwards.

Hmmm..interesting! Interesting that the Warden's appearance and the companion's stats/specs are all seemingly carried over too.

Definitely agree. Still mired in the middle of a major programming project (ugh) but the end is in sight and I might actually get to play the game this week, I'll probably end up focusing on uni work regardless though. And you better not spoil the Morri references for me Brock or there'll be hell to pay. As to the DA2 forums, hmmm... maybe the new subforums (which I'm guessing will require registration to post in) will help separate the wheat from the chaff. One can but hope.

Unless I;ve missed an announcement, it still seems no immediate plans for a Toolset release. Not sure how much harder that makes it to fix the mistakes.

I mean, I want to use the correct term here, and not call a bug a collosal mistake by the programmers.

I'm just a little Alistair- loving woman who loves to ramble about her FF/ main char who is a FMahariel and best friend with Morrigan because she is AWESOME and stuff. So I'll do no harm, promised. Also I'm very skeptical of DA2 and have enough of getting yelled at for not unconditionally loving this BEST GAME EVAH.

you can join the rants I have on my profile page as well.  **Spoiler** I've been ranting about Zevran's cameo there for a few days.  I just have this horrible feeling that Zevran's romance ended on too good a note so it's got to be destroyed.  All I've learned about his cameo so far makes me want to punt kittens.  Hopefully I'll be getting a soundfile within the next couple of days to find out if my nerdrage is justified.  **end spoiler** Yeh, people are really sensitive about this.  Everything I've heard about DA2 has made me /facedesk and adjust until I realized, well, no, I will wait until I buy.

I wonder if Zevran's appearance has something to do with the Awakening endings with the Warden vanishing maybe?

 Back when I released stuff (back when I worked) my updates always included more than one fix (my mods still do).  So a previous version of a beta file usually was missing quite a bit more than one thing.  Hopefully that's not the case here.

Hmm, can I take refuge in this haven as well.  I do dart onto the DA2 page every so often to find out anything new to make me feel better about the game, but I generally resistrict my posts to the more light-hearted threads, the others get to stressful often enough if you try and suggest you personally have some misgivings about the game.

I'm just glad Morrigan isn't appearing in DA2 (though she is referenced so I'm just hoping she isn't reconned to badly), but I feel for your concerns on Zevran.  I suspect DA2 will be a fun game, but I just know it's not going to give me the experience Origins did, however this can be a dangerous opinion to share in some DA2 threads

What the heck was he thinking saying that, I mean that's what I would expect a kid coming up with ideas for a game to say (and a not to bright one at that) not a seasoned veteran of the gaming industry.  Even if DA2 is all they claim it is, the marketing approach is appalling

Yep.I have experienced that already with voicing that "Hey I think it will be a great game but I'm pretty much indifferent toward it" opinion. *booming voice* Dangerous, I say, DANGEROUS. And apparently am I to blame for the downfall of the Alistair thread.

The import bugs? After DA:A and witch hunt I can't say I'm much surprised. I realy really hope they fix that soon. I won't touch that game until then. Seriously.

I don't recall anyone saying you were to blame for the downfall of the thread. The general opinion was that the DA2 bashing was getting old and that the thread was already in a downfall.

Um... I've never post in here but I wanted to say...I was in no way "getting on your back" about not liking DA2, I was simply stating that it was in the wrong thread...and causing discomfort for the people who ARE looking forward to it.
