I'm sure this has been brought up before, but what if the Black City is actually seperate from the Fade, and conceals another realm within it (like an interdimensional TARDIS)? IIRC Tamlen sees visions of it within the eluvian during his tainting session, and it certainly seems like a place that Morrigan and the OGB (assuming they've told him of his nature) would be interested in.
I always thought that the locale Tamlen saw through the Eluvian was the Black City or wherever it was the Archdemon was located at the time. Then again, who knows with that Eluvian since it was tainted- so maybe its a total anomaly while the untainted one Morrigan was able to activate leads somewhere else entirely?
But yeah, going to the Black/Golden City would seem like a big deal and it does supposedly exist "beyond" the Fade, insofar as its not supposed to be accessable from the Fade.

Considering how locations were reused throughout DA2 and how underwhelming the implementation of the Fade was, I'm not so sure we'll be seeing anything regarding it, nor any locations that don't fit within the existing Kirkwall aesthetic. I do want to know where those lines regarding Flemeth/Feynriel fall within the game though, is it possble to refuse to do the dreamer quest and lock yourself out of it permanently, maybe that would trigger those lines.
Yeah....it will be interesting to see what the first DLC is all about. If for nothing else to see if BioWare can positively respond and address some of DA2's shortcomings.
As far as the Feynriel quest goes, the references to Flemeth/Asha bellenar that you found all would occur with the last part of the quest with the Keeper probably, right? Or maybe Merrill? I'll have to try to load that up to see some of the dialogue there...

Indeed, the facepalming/crying statue on the kirkwall map pretty much summarises my current feelings towards the game. DA2 has spawned a most amusing motivationals thread though. I played some of the ME2 Arrival dlc last night after finishing up FemShep's LotSB and I can't fathom how I've come to like Mass Effect more than Dragon Age but one of them works while the other just... doesn't.
And I'll try to get to Brock's post sometime this week.
The thing with ME2 at least is that it went the distance in making itself an action game with RPG bits tacked on. Whereas DA2 is in limbo, trying to please everyone. I still like DA and find it a more interesting world than ME, but as far as games go, yeah, I'd probably favor ME as of now. That said, I really don't care for ME as an RPG or being too invested in Shep, but at least its a fairly polished product.

Been pretty dead around here for about a full 24 hours. Has DA2 sucked the life (and rant) out of the Morri-Nation?
The whole Origins forum has died down quite a bit. But yeah....kind of disappointed in the lack of any new Morrigan related speculation fuel in DA2.
