Question. What do you prefer. Morrigan's hair clipped or spread loose (not sure if those are the accurate technical terms)?

Well, the thing is Morri has the best clipped brunette hair ever. So I prefer her clipped becuase she carries it like no one else. Must be the face, the side boobs, the ivory skin and the yellow cat-eyes. I prefer my women with long hair but if she wears it clipped, my Warden get the privilege of Morri letting her hair down in private.

I'm probably going to be chased out of this thread but Morrigan's little "I'm commitment-phobic!" phase reminds me of a song: Gonna **** up your ego! Silly boy, gonna make you cry!

Hmm, this is interesting.

According to the notes for patch 1.03 for DA2, there appears to be some issue related to Morrigan that the devs are looking into.

Since there are precious few references to Morri in DA2, I wonder what that is all about?

Link?

I might try to start up my second misanthropic Morrigan Hawke DA2 run once they get the next patch out. I think they were looking into the Morrigan approval import or something- for Origins to Awakening anyway, since the approvals didn't transfer but that affected things in DA2 or something? Its been so long that I haven't touched DA2 I no longer remember what Morrigan bug was relevant or how things were supposed to work.

All I remember is that there was something up Morrigan related that didn't work with DA2.

Aaaaaand back to The Witcher 2 :wizard:

Am I the only one who keeps getting reminded of Morrigan every time I see Geralt's yellow eyes (especially when he's doing Axii)?

It would be awesome if the OGB that will probably never show up be somewhat similar to him.

Patch 1.03 notes

General Issues

- Import Issues (Awakenings; re: Approval levels)
- Import issue with Zevran, Alistair and Morrigan (all)
- Olaf's Armory - Chest is invisible. Can still be interacted with, you just can't see it. (Act 3)

Zevran issue is clearly him not mentioning his romance with the Warden. Alistair I'm not sure about. Morrigan is a mystery since there is no reference to her romance with the Warden, DR or Witch Hunt as far as I can tell.

@KoP

Blasphemy!!

Morrigan beautiful eyes are like a unique piece of art. They cannot be compared to anything or copied. :P

That goes without saying of course!

Still, his are the closest that it can get to yellow eyes being 10% as pleasing to look at as Morrigan's eyes. He gets bonus points for his eyes looking like cat eyes.

Ah yes, that.

I think this was discussed a while back...I can't recall what it is exactly ( I think Terra brought it up here) . I'm probably wrong but I think the issue is that DA2 doesn't recognize the Morrigan romance? Or something along those lines- not that it seems to have any bearing in DA2 but I think its when you look in the imported flags through the console it doesn't show up there or something .

But it also seems many of these issues stem from Awakening and the lack of fixes there, so hopefully they get around to patching up Origins and Awakening one more time.

I seem to vaguely recall a referrence in DA2 to the Warden defeating the Archdemon with the aid of two mages, one of them an apostate. I also thought I saw something about the Warden and "a dark-haired Sorceress" in one of the texts. Unfortunately, my gaming laptop broke and I won'[t a new good enough gaming until late this summer aftter an upcoming move. If the patch provides more Warden-Morri info, I would gladly replay as much as required. I hope this means Bioware is keeping the Warden Morrigan angle warm as they spitball ideas for DA3.

No, you're not the only one, Knight B) And I do love the ability to use Axii in dialogue, I'll love it even more when the issues with CrossFire get fixed.

Haven't got it installed anymore and I don't intend to reinstall anytime soon but as I recall it was the world vault debug script that wasn't recognising the romance and make love flags and yes it was related to awakening clearing companion approval levels. There's nothing in the talktable for Morri though so there's nothing to get excited about. I wouldn't be surprised to see something underwhelming shoehorned into a DLC though.

Off to resume Geralt's adventures now;)

Also, I'm going to draw Morrigan. She's not my hands-down favorite NPC in Origins but I'll admit that she's too cool for school. I just got these charcoal pencils. They'll be fun to play around with when I'm trying to make her skirt. Or very, very frustrating.

*Looks at the drapery of Morrigan's shirt hoodie thing*

Did TW2 ship with a toolset like it's predecesor?

If so, somebody should try to create Dragon Age characters in it just to see how they'd look. B)

Good one. Strikes me as an early teen Morrigan.

BTW, I joined the Witcher (I am playing the first on,e given the Witcher 2 hoopla) bandwagon. Its no DAO but its interesting.

So I started taking a stab at Morrigan, and not in the Witch Hunt DLC.
The process is the best part for me, though this is really, really scary. I've only been drawing seriously (as in not just limiting myself to doodles during class) for the better part of a week and I have no freaking idea how to do fabrics. Here's what I have done so far. I'm pleased with how it's coming along and I just wanted to immortalize it like this because I may just ruin it.

No, I don't think there is a toolset for the RED engine yet... I haven't really been paying attention as to whether they have any plans on releasing one for TW2.

Yeah, Luke Barrett posted earlier today in the patch thread regarding the Awakening approval issue and claims that has been fixed. In his words:

There will be import fixes. All of the awakenings issues based on the  lack of approval rating carrying on from DAA and onwards should be fixed as well as a few other ones.

Terra_Ex wrote...

Nor would I, sadly. *Dons Hat of Negativity and Cynicism +12* What better way to try and milk the franchise even more than by promising a continuation of Morrigan's story in another half baked DLC? Nobody buying DA2? Just put one of the few decent and interesting storylines deserving of a full sequel in a cash grab DLC!

And on that note, again from Luke Barrett, we have the claim that DA2 indeed does not read anything from Witch Hunt (Still making a mess of Alistair's Hero of ferelden reference in DA2 it would seem)  but maybe in the future we'll have a cash grab DLC for DA2 to deal with Witch Hunt:

GoA and Witch Hunt currently dont have any calls in DA2. That said,  there's always the chance that they will get called later on in a DLC or something else so you may want to use your furthest import just in  case.

I could rant about the sort of confirmation of DA3 and the Gamasutra interview with Zeschuk and Muzyka but I think I'd rather be playing TW2:wizard:

Don't be afraid to make mistakes when doodling. That's when you learn. ;)

Also, I learned how to draw the seams and folds in fabrics by... well... observing worn fabrics. But there are tons of helpful tutorials in dA.

Phase 2: Preliminary details in. I think we're just about ready to start playing with the charcoal pencils.

Her eyes don't scream "Morrigan" to me. Her eyebrows are thick and they don't arch as much as they should. But I kind of like them how they are right now. : /

What do you mean "Whether they have any plans for releasing one"?! Didn't they see the massive outrage, WW3, global disasters and the like starting as the result of PC gamers being outraged due to lack of toolset in DA2? :P

DA3 confirmation isn't bad as long as they don't rush the game for release in 2012.

It does, however, show people that the DA ip is still alive and kicking, since some "fans" were already holding a funeral for it after DA2.. <_<

I recall the owner of Nexus sites inquired about it a few months back, I think the forums are down atm but as I recall I think they said they wanted to do one, which I'd be most appreciative of.

Brockololly wrote...

But in today's super-accessible rpg climate we wouldn't have +12, we'd have nice shiny objects making it clear this was an upper tier item and eliminating any potential confusion brought about by numbers.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I think this will happen but this is most certainly a rant best left for another time. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

But Brock, DA2 forum logic has informed me that players who chose to follow Morrigan should be totally satisfied with their warden magically appearing back in Ferelden with no explanation. That unlike the other possible LI endings which can have clear references and acknowledgement, the mirror ending choice should clearly default to "oh well there's no guarantee the warden would stay with Morrigan" (or some similar connotation on that theme) followed by a quick railroading to the nearest one size fits all copout, I don't know why you expect to experience meaningful consequences to your choices, really. But then I'd expect little else from a mediocre sequel. On a side note I read via codex that Luke said the DA2 story DLC will be "awesome"... yeah.

Brockololly wrote...

I've not seen the good doctors latest, and I've held back somewhat in my above responses :) Most of what needs to be said about DA3 has been covered internet wide, the RPS snippit and comments section says it all really. And Witcher 2, damn, yeah- just hit Chapter 2 and I've not been disappointed so far (save the lack of 16:10 support), I won't even get started or the Morri thread will shift out of ranting mode and into praise mode and we can't have that.

Zjarcal wrote...

We don't accept rants from ponies in the Morri thread, it's a confusing enough place as it is.
