Well, its like
Gaider said in this thread regarding how Alistair looked like a trainwreck with the new and "improved" facemorph system:

A better question would be... What the designer of Alistair's face was thinking / drinking? How much time did he spend doing it? Seriously.
Possibly she was trying too hard to get the face morph to look as close as it possibly could, even though the system wasn't designed to make faces much like Origins', and should have known that even the slightest difference would be picked apart and declared hideous. So she probably needn't have tried as hard as she did.
I thought it looked fine.
Ok, if you have any intention of bringing returning characters back, and you're not going to drastically change the graphics into a stylized form or something, but keep them semi-realistic, why in the world wouldn't you be sure that when overhauling the facemorph system you can accurately recreate the faces of existing characters?
That just seems incredibly stupid- it would be one thing if the new system had drastically better faces, but its barely an improvement at all. That Morrigan morph sums up most everything wrong with the new facemorph system-
- Bloated face? Check
- Bulbous nose? Check
- Sickly, plastic, pastey looking skin? Check.
- Inability to have lower lip larger than upper lip, resulting in trout lip look? Check
- Lighting that makes characters look terrible? Check.
- Identical chin/jawline as every other DA2 character? Check
But hell, DA2 provides for a better foundation for the future and they really made things look "super hot" so we should just all be grateful right?

If they don't overhaul the facemorph system again and actually make the people look like people again and not Mr. PotatoHead dolls, that'll be another reason to not bother with any future DA stuff.
