Reading those awesome fics :3 I'm always craving for some Morri x Warden lol. Now I have the desire to dig up my first test about them and finish it *sighs*
I support this. We need more Morri/Warden fics.

Ha. In the Winter Palace, if you eavesdrop in the courtyard there's totally a line of dialogue where one nobleman accuses the other of "fancying the Empress' pet apostate." Now I wish I'd been playing as my HoF instead of my Inquisitor during that mission because I totally would have gone out and decked the guy. Then I would hav complimented him on his impeccable taste. Then I would kick him.
But it did answer a question I had, because I was wondering if Morrigan turned any heads in the court. Too often everyone is all "Man she up to something" so it's nice to see SOMEONE had a different reaction. Even if it did mean that poor NPC would inevitable be hunted down by the HoF and beaten.

Heh, made me think of this:
iirc, there are also 2 npcs that hold a similar conversation in Skyhold.
On a related note, is this conversation (Vivienne talking about Morrigan) accessible in-game, (there's bits of other conversations in here, but ignore them) I don't seem to recall seeing it. Or maybe I've just forgot.
Will try to comment on some of the other recent posts later in the week.

I haven't encountered it in game, but from youtube videos I've seen that's a party banter conversation between Dorian and Vivienne. There's more to it as well, that one seems to be jumbled up and showing all the dialogue options for the Inquisitor based on how he reacted to Morrigan when she said she was joining.

Some of it is Dorian/Vivienne banter and its out of order due to the way the strings are created by the software, sure, but the majority of that chunk of text looks to me to be from the Inquisitor to Vivienne which is why I'm curious, most of the "known" accessible dialogue is already on the wiki, yet googling the Morrigan-appropriate lines turns up nothing, leading me to wonder whether its accessible or not.
Google finds "It's part of the Game, my dear. You never see your opponent's true visage." on the DA wiki (as I'm guessing it's a Dorian banter) but not "As did Celene, yet the only one I've seen benefit is Morrigan herself," nor any of the other presumed Inquisitor/Vivienne dialogue about Morrigan (based on my brief searches at least). So yeah, I'm wondering if anyone was able to ask Vivienne about Morrigan at any point.

I'm pretty certain "As did Celene, yet the only one I've seen benefit is Morrigan herself," is meant to tie in to something along the lines of "I trust her" and I could swear it's meant to be in the Dorian/Vivienne/Inquisitor banter.
Though I wish we could talk to Vivienne about Morrigan. You'd think that would be an option considering that the few times the two interact or Vivienne mentions her show that Morrigan really gets under her skin, cracking that cool exterior. I really want to be able to poke at that sore spot a bit more. It'd be hilarious.

Heh, made me think of this:
Hehehe, I would've done the same, in fact I would do the same with Hawke meeting my Cousland...because of him Flemeth survived after my Cousland killed Flemeth in order to save Morrigan so there's reason for my Warden to deck the champion. Then, there's that eavesdrop regarding someone fancy Morrigan at the court, that dude would've ended up locked up in the room nearby all knocked out and beaten. They just can't speak ill of Morrigan or will have to face my ire, if any doubt refer to alistair's ashes hehe.
The only conversation I heard with vivienne about Morrigan is after Morrigan drank from the well (wich my inquisitor said he trusted Morrigan) and one banter they shared at the temple of Mythal, I don't remember it well because it was my first playthrough and by now I'm on my fourth hehe, since then I bring Solas to the party and I just keep vivienne around so I can place her political butt on the sunburst throne other than that...nah.
"ill-bred apostate" yeah...being a daughter of merchants who she didn't even knew that well and being the "side dish" to an old council of heralds is very distinguished and yet she took too much of her life to reach any posts of influence when Morrigan reached that same level in the span of a few months. I have always said, Morrigan has always been the best.

I wanted to get a better look at Morri's raven form, sadly you only get the briefest of close-ups in game, but I managed to find it after a bit of digging. That's one mean-looking raven, pity she couldn't turn into this thing in Origins.

When your significant other is the most beautiful woman in Thedas, you have to accept there would be many admirers... kicking their asses would be a full-time job.
However, those who speak ill of our favorite Witch... then yes... absolutely its totally game on.

So, beat up those that speak ill of our lady (Alistair may be overdue for a beating then) and compliment her admirers on their taste but make sure they know I have my eye on them.

That's no Raven! That's a velociraptor that's ahead of the evolutionary curve!
Though, considering you could upgrade her bear form to a bereskain it makes sense that she'd go ahead and add freaking tusks to what should just be a transportation form.

I'm fairly confident that Morri could conjure up several imaginative ways to dissuade any would-be interlopers without HoF needing to get involved. So, beat up those that speak ill of our lady (Alistair may be overdue for a beating then) and compliment her admirers on their taste but make sure they know I have my eye on them.
Yeah, I'm wondering if it might be better if it had yellow eyes and a purple colouring to the feathers rather than the red. That's no Raven! That's a velociraptor that's ahead of the evolutionary curve!

Isn't the raven that Morrigan turned into at the WoS just the same generic raven model that's used throughout the whole game? I thought I saw those odd looking ravens with the red markings and tusk looking things elsewhere in the game.

It could well be, I can't say I was actively looking for any ravens in my play through though, there were some other bird type creatures I saw in the game files that shared the same body but had different heads as well as a "small" raven model variation, but who knows, it looks suitably menacing regardless and I wanted a better look at it. Although, that makes me wonder if Morrigan's High Dragon form is unique or is that shared by some other dragon in the game? It seemed to resemble Flemeth's DAO dragon appearance more than anything else iirc.Isn't the raven that Morrigan turned into at the WoS just the same generic raven model that's used throughout the whole game? Anyone else imagine Morrigan as being Elf-blooded? To me, having an elf parent lessens the, imo, gross stuff in Inquisition where she's now an expert on Eluvians and explaining Elven history to even an Elf Inquisitor and demanding she be the one to take the Elven knowledge from the Well of Sorrows.

Could be. I thought I just noticed some of the other random ravens in the open world sharing the odd red markings and figured that BioWare was just doing that to all ravens, but I haven't looked at the actual models close up or anything.
As for Morrigan in dragon form, I think the actual dragon model is exactly the same as the regular guardian dragon you get when Morrigan doesn't drink from the WoS. The only difference being that Morrigan Dragon is all purple and maybe the eyes are a yellowish color? I remember taking some screens a while back while messing with the DAI Cinematic tools:
It's sort of similar to Flemeth's dragon form in terms of color and roughly the horns, but they sort of overhauled how so many dragons look in DAI compared to Origins and DA2, it's hard to say how close Morrigan's dragon form resembles Flemeth's, since we didn't see dragon Flemeth in DAI. Flemeth's dragon form had a more normal looking mouth/snout with teeth while Morrigan's dragon form just had the big chunky looking jaw with no visible teeth.
Eh, I guess if she is Flemeth's biological daughter, then she maybe has some elf bits in her? If what Flemeth says is true, that Mythal is as much a part of her as her own heart, then would some bit of that get passed on to Morrigan or any of her daughters?Anyone else imagine Morrigan as being Elf-blooded? To me, having an elf parent lessens the, imo, gross stuff in Inquisition where she's now an expert on Eluvians and explaining Elven history to even an Elf Inquisitor and demanding she be the one to take the Elven knowledge from the Well of Sorrows.
I don't quite get the complaint people have of thinking Morrigan is misappropriating Elven culture or lore at the WoS either. Granted, sure, I think it's dumb how the writers neuter the Inquisitor into often acting like a numbskull with no prior knowledge of anything at the Temple of Mythal, especially if they're Dalish. But Morrigan has been researching deep into Elven lore/secrets pretty heavily. She's activated Eluvians and gone to who knows where via Eluvians. Sure, DAI shows that she gets quite a bit wrong about Elven lore, but it's not like that whole element to her character was just dropped out of no where to get her to act at the WoS.
To her, I don't think the "Elven" aspect of the WoS' knowledge/power is any huge driving force behind it. It's simply the fact that it's an ancient thing with tons of knowledge/power. If it was dwarven or any other culture behind it, she'd probably be just as likely to be going for it. Maybe with an Elven Inquisitor you should have the opportunity to bring up your Elvish-ness to Morrigan when you're debating who should drink? Then again, its not like the game disallows your Inquisitor from drinking either if you want that Elven knowledge to stay Elven.
Of course, Morrigan's whole attitude in blindly demanding to drink from the WoS brings up other issues I have with that scene...
