So... the first time I played DAO, I kept thinking of Disney's Tangled for some reason. And then I found these.... just gonna leave them there.

I've seen that one. :P

But deep down, Flemeth isn't that terrible. She has shown her soft side in the reunion in Inquisition.

I love that scene between Flemeth, Morrigan and Kieran.  Hands down my favorite scene in any of the three games.  Superlative writing and acting on the parts of all the principle players involved!

I would have to agree. That whole scene was just raw and beautiful character growth.

The first time I saw it, it actually made me cry. Claudia Black is just..... she needs to voice a PC someday.

You know... It takes some serious restraint NOT to go on Youtube and watch that scene.  I didn't play Inquisition yet and don't know, when I will be...

DON'T DO IT! You'll hate yourself later, believe me. I've done that to myself so many times before with other games and it really takes away from it. I got DAI with my PS4 back in the spring, and I was just dying to watch a ton of the cut scenes, but I somehow managed to control myself.

Save your money and you'll be the Inquisitor in no time, my friend. :)

Oddly, I can watch Utubes (or watch my kid play DA) and it doesn't bother me at all.  Somewhere in the back of my head is the thought "This isn't my inquisitor/Warden/Hawke" so it's not really real for me till I see it on my own PC screen.  I'd recommend waiting till you play it though.  It's biggest impact comes that first time, and it's felt strongest on your own Inquisitor rather than Joe Blow's Qunari warrior or Dalish mage.  Save viewing for after you've seen it firsthand.  You won't be sorry you waited.

Yup I get that sometimes too, I even look up playthroughs that were done completely different than mine (after I played the game myself of course), something absolutely crazy or even antagonistic to my decisions (like when characters I really liked get killed by the player or something).

Well at least I can stare at some concept arts...

With me, if I know the scene is coming up or how it plays out, it doesn't impact me as much. I like the feeling of seeing something for the first time ever and then reacting to it that way. I get more out of it. But that's just me, everyone is different. Obviously when I play DA in my "canon" world state, I get really into it and it'll always mean more than watching someone else play with their character. I go into it thinking "Okay, this is my Warden's boy and this is my Warden's 'wife' in all but name, this my Hawke and this is my Inquisitor. This is Thedas as I see it, and this is how it happened and this is what I think is going on behind the scenes."

I think that's kind of what sets Dragon Age apart from a lot of other games and I think that's the perk of having a new protagonist every game. I feel like it's way more open to player interpretation and imagination compared to Mass Effect because of this.

I try to watch cutscenes after I've played through that specific part. I like seeing scenes for different choices and seeing how that plays out compared to what I did. It saves me from having wait for my next playthrough. I do get curious after I make a major choice, so you can bet I'll be looking up the alternate versions after I've played through that section.

I know for a fact that I'll watch all of the romance options.

I wonder if there is at least a side note about the Morrigan romance in the Trespasser DLC.

I'm aware that we already got an ending of sorts in the main game: She reunites with the Warden after helping the Inquisition. But it wouldn't hurt to hear more news, especially now that the Inquisition's story is about to reach its conclusion.

Moreover, I've heard that this DLC has its own epilogue with what happens to all companions and this takes place 2 years after Corypheus' defeat.

But if it isn't meant to be, there is always the next game. Morrigan's role in the series is far from finished.

I finished downloading the Tresspasser DLC after work last night and I intend to crack open a beer and start playing it tonight. I'll let you guys know if I run into any Morrigan stuff in general (unless someone beats me to the punch lol). I'll also tell you if it's worth your money.

The Morrigan/Flemeth arc is an overarching plot in the series that loosely connects the titles to each other, so I'm almost 100% positive that we will see Morrigan again (whether we like that or not), because that story is far from over. Whether it's DA4 or beyond, that is the common link, and it's a big reason why I'm so into the series. To me, it's way more interesting than some of the other plotlines going on.

I think, currently, Bioware still isn't totally sure as to where they're taking Morrigan's story. It's clear to me that she and Kieran probably reunited with the HoF after they departed Skyhold. But what if the HoF isn't in that equation? What if she doesn't have Kieran? Where did she run off to? So many questions.

Yup, I'm playing the Trespasser DLC right now and taking copious screenshots of any and anything Morrigan/Flemeth/HoF/Warden related (not much of anything really thus far but I'm pretty early in).

At most I'm wondering/hoping it'll give some answers regarding the potential ramifications of the Well of Sorrows choice for Morrigan or the Inquisitor as that was really the one major Morrigan related choice you had in Inquisition.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, folks, but I didn't see any Warden/Morrigan content in the DLC, and I beat it. I had a Surana/Morrigan romance from Origins.

Oh well. I didn't really have much hope for it. Would have been nice though.

That being said, does anyone else feel like they couldn't really get invested in their Inquisitor(s) and their companions because you're still hung up on your Warden? I dunno, may be just me, but I feel like getting a bit more closure for the HoF would have made it easier to move on to a new character.

Well, you can look at it from the better side - who knows what could happen with her in that DLC?  :D Imagine Bioware turning Dragon Age into Thedas version of Game of Thrones with major characters dying left, right and center.

Nope. I feel the same way. I liked my Inquisitor, but I'm stuck on my Warden like epoxy. So much left unexplored, like the search for the cure to the Calling, and the entire interim between Origins and DA:I. That's ten years and then some of untapped potential in terms of storytelling. And with the new threat presented in Trespasser, I feel it's time to bring the old guys back and kick some serious demi-god butt with DA4's protagonist.

I like the idea of exploring different facets of the Dragon Age, but with the constant skipping between protagonists, it's hard to stay vested in things when you know it's simply going to end as 'and then they vanished.'

Or maybe I'm just bitter and crotchety.

Not invested much in my warden at all, tbh.  His/her story was over some time ago for me.  Them including "goes off to the west to find a cure" threw a monkey wrench into my favorite head canons, but I'm content with that as her epitaph.  My only concern is, they leave it so open ended like that, people just can't let it rest, like a mabari with a favorite chew toy.

I enjoyed my Inquisitor, but I've been too sick to play Inquisition much since it's release, only now just getting back into it as I have felt better.  My favorite protagonist, even though she catches a lot of flack is my rogue LadyHawke, Kit.  Snarky, taking nothing seriously, hard partying, fun girl Kit.  To me, Hawke was so much a "right person in the right place" kind of protagonist, which appeals to me so much more than "chosen one" which the warden and Inquisitor seem like.  Warden has grey warden powers and taint and stuff and alone with Alistair/Loghain--even the other warden is interchangeable--the one who must stop the Blight.  Inquisitor has his mark and is the 'only one who can close the breach'.  Hawke is just an 'everyman'.  A skilled 'everyman' but an everyman nonetheless, who rises from obscurity to a fame she may or may not desire.

My kid on the other hand was sad when he finished Trespasser last night because his favorite was the Inquisitor (he really likes Iron Bull), so I'm looking forward to getting to know my canon (who I will be attempting to play all the DLC with for the first time) now.

We did. The ending to Origins + the epilogue to Awakening already tell you what you need to know.

If you want an entire game dedicated to the Warden's daily life, that is not happening.

Forming a family and having kids I can share gaming experiences with.

That's one of my life goals right there.

I'm not as attached to my Inquisitor as I am to my Warden and my Hawke for some reason either. I still like my Inquisitor, but I adore my Warden and my Hawke.

Also, I added to my headcanon that the Couslands, Amells and Trevelyans are all related in one way or another (most noble houses are related to each other) and that the future Warden Cousland met the future Inquisitor Trevelyan once at some nobility gathering. Cousland was a teenager and Trevelyan was still a child.

And one day Kieran says to the Inquisitor, "Mother once told me that you are related to Father. Is that true?"
"Distantly, yes."

"Does that make us cousins?"

"I suppose it does, Kieran."

And then the he beams broadly in pride because this has given him a stronger sense of family. I like that idea, especially since the only family Kieran really knows is his mother and he hasn't seen his father is years.

I also headcanon that Kieran asks the Inquisitor to teach him swordsmanship in secret, and the Inquisitor reluctantly agrees (knowing full well that Morrigan probably sees this as a waste of time and disapproves of it). Kieran wishes to impress his father with his skills when he sees him again. Whenever the Inquisitor has time, she sneaks off with Kieran and they practice for hours in one of the towers on the battlements for hours on end. Morrigan becomes fully aware of this instantly, but she allows it to continue seeing as Kieran doesn't have any friends and is the only child at Skyhold. Kieran proves to be a quick study, and by the time he departs Skyhold with his mother, he has learned almost everything the Inquisitor was comfortable teaching him.

Yeah, just wrapped up Trespasser. Overall it was a good DLC and if you want a nice wrapup to Inquisition I'd say its worth the money.

I'll spoiler tag this stuff just in case, but the basic take away is no Morrigan or HoF references, at least that I could find. A little more detail though:

Spoiler

Good DLC and I only wish we had gotten a more fleshed out epilogue like this for Origins with the full crew.
