Spoiler
I didn't get that either, especially considering three different characters can potentially be Kieran's father. I figured they would have had him look a little more like Morrigan, or they would have kind of done what they did in DA2 with Hawke's family. That may have come down to Bioware just running out of time to do that though. Also, the game was cross-gen on consoles, so there wasn't a straightforward way to import your HoF's appearance and have it reflected in Kieran if you were going from PS3 to PS4 or 360 to PS4 or what-have-you.
When it comes to my HoF, I think Kieran is a good fit to be his son. I think Kieran looks like Oren (Cousland's nephew).
Though I was expecting him to have black hair and golden eyes like his mum. He does have dull golden eyes, but that's where the similarities stop.
In my head, before Inquisition came out, I always imagined the OGB would look a lot more like Morrigan. Aimo's illustrations of him were actually real close to what I imagined. Honestly the fact that he somewhat resembles Oren works really well for me since my HoF is a Cousland, and he's had brown hair from the beginning so Kieran looks a great deal like his father. Though having him look more like Morrigan would have made the most sense.

About the hair... it can get darker with years... I remember having almost blonde hair, when I was around 7 years old and when I was about 16, they turned pretty much all dark brown (even slightly darker nowadays). Both of my parents have dark hair... so it doesn't have to mean a thing. Eyes or general facial features (which you probably can't import from what I gather) are usually better indication.

Also, anyone remember the glitch where the HoF's letter doesn't mention Morrigan or Kieran? And how apparently you had to have Morrigan give you the quest to contact him, but it only worked if you got her into the Inquisition before talking to Hawke? I tried that, and it didn't work either.

I had that glitch on both of my playthroughs as well. I saw the additional portion of the letter on some Youtube video, and I couldn't understand why it didn't come up in my game.
I had Morrigan give me the war table operation, but both times Morrigan came to Skyhold after I meet with Hawke and made some progress on the "Here Lies the Abyss" questline so I could level up a bit for Wicked Hearts. But if it is as you say it is, this order of events doesn't change anything. So is there a work-around for this glitch yet? Is it version specific (I'm on PS4) or is it on all versions? Has it been patched or....?

Well, I'm on a PC so it's not a console only problem. Just gonna quietly headcanon that my HoF isn't about to go talking about his family with just anyone. Even though he's basically like Morrigan and is super proud of her and Kieran like she is super proud of him and Kieran.

Are you telling me that after several patches, they still havent fixed this?

I believe my HoF is also incredibly proud of Morrigan and Kieran and they are the most important thing in his life, so I think it would be appropriate to indirectly threaten the Inquisitor in his letter lol.
"Please take care of my family. Morrigan is stronger and wiser than anyone else I have met, and I would not go through such an effort to escape my own Calling to lose them to your Inquisition."
Reading between the lines here, it pretty much says to me "if anything happens to them, I'm blaming you, and I will hunt you down and cause you great harm."
But I can't believe the game has been out for almost a year and something that seems so minor hasn't been patched. Does this happen with any of the other HoF romance letters, or is it just this one?

Morrigan strikes me as a little reckless. She wants to preserve Urthemiel's soul... just because without knowing what risks could happen. Then she tries to take the power of the Well and embrace servitude to a potentially dead god while also possibly having her kid to take care of.

Well that is just where her interests are at... and it is reckless, sure. I often do stuff just to find out if it's possible (and sometimes mess up something in the process
), so I can't really blame her for that.

Eeeyup. Pretty sure I'm fully updated. Kinda annoyed by that.

Yeah, I really like the subtle threat that's thrown in the letter, since he's so used to people thinking ill of Morrigan that he's become a bit defensive maybe.

Yes, HoF only threatens the Inquisition if he romanced Morrigan.
Link to the all letter's versions.

Ok I've actually read that part of the letter (I'm a bad person
)... I don't see any threat in it. It seems like quite friendly request about something with live importance to the Warden. I think you put too much weight on those words... they are just that - words, they can't do any harm.

The HoF that romanced Alistair has a bit of a threat in it, since it's basically the same "I wouldn't want to lose him/them to your Inquisition."

Specifically this part " and I would not go through such effort to escape my own Calling to lose them to your Inquisition." Implying that they could come to harm in the Inquisition, to me has a strong subtext of "Or else..." in there. By saying he doesn't trust the Inquisitor enough to discount the possibility that Kieran and Morrigan could come to harm, he's basically putting the dialogue into a combative position. So I read a threat into there very easily.
But yes, I'm putting too much weight on those words. It's what we do here. XD

Nice, thanks. I've never done enough complete game to get these. I especially like the one for 'Warden romanced Alistair and they stayed wardens'. Especially knowing the choice the Inquisitor must make later.

It must be funny, from now on how many players will make Alistair king, knowing what could happen if you don't. I'm going to headcanon the HoF having future vision of some kind.
Alistair: "But I don't want to be king!"
HoF: "It's for your own good!"
And if it turns out that drinking from the WoS was bad for Morrigan, then I'm thinking the HoF has future vision AND is telepathic.
Inquisitor: "For some reason I'm getting a very strong thought that I really shouldn't let you drink from this well."

"YOUR Inquisition" sounds a little overbearing to me lol. "I'm trusting you with my family, if anything happens to them while they're in YOUR hands, I swear...."
Of course, it'll all be down to interpretation. This is a character driven thread, so we tend to overthink, speculate and read too much into everything lol.
Going back to Kieran looking like his father.
This is how I (very) roughly think my Warden may have translated into Frostbite 3. The hair is off and I imagine his stubble would have been a bit thicker (the extra scruff in DAI looks so grubby... I'll just say that Morrigan makes him shave).
Yeah, I think Kieran could pass off as his son.

Also, I think the British male voice suits my Warden quite well. Just get him to say "Can I get you a ladder, so you can get off my back?" and I think we'd have a winner
Furthermore I've started thinking about the WoS decision. What if it IS something bad for the Inquisitor/Morrigan?

He also looks like my Daylen Amell. At the time I didn't know what he (Kieran) would look like, just I prefer men with dark hair. Daylen also sported whiskers (which you can make look really nice in the toolset for Origins) in a goatee kind of appearance. No pics survived because my old hosting site went 'pay to post' and my PC had to have it's hard drive scrubbed.
I think you chose the "Violent" voice actor, which is Tim Watson (Teagan). I actually used a mod to remove that line (though I found a codex that references it in Inquisition), because I found it annoying after about 100 repetitions and instead he says something like "And thus I cloak my naked villainy". Hearing my warden say that in Teagan's voice always made me giggle! Every time.

I could probably get closer if I had some time to sit down and really play with the character creator. I may try again some time. That picture has been on my computer for a while now. I tried to make a male version of myself when I originally created William in DAO. I have brown hair and brown eyes, so I went with that. I like blonde guys, but I can never make a half-decent looking blonde male RPG character for some reason.
The hair is way off base though. His hair is supposed to be similar to Alistair's DAO hair and he has darker and more noticeable stubble.
I'm not set up to take screen caps on my PS3. I suppose I could pull the poor quality avatar image off of the DA Keep, but... meh. This'll do.
I find a lot of the repeated comments the Warden makes in DAO incredibly annoying after a while as well.
After like hearing my "Warden" speak though with the DAI voice, I kind of warmed to the idea of him having a voice. I think if they got the right people, it would turn out alright. Even though it's probably impossible, I think it'd be cool in DA4 if you had the option to import your Warden or Hawke (if they're alive) or the Inquisitor or play as a brand new PC. It won't happen but.... a part of me will always want that.

If the Grey Wardens ever decided to explain why only they can slay the archdemon and end the Blight, anyone could easily question that claim by mentioning that the HoF still is alive and kickin'.

I have tried TWICE to recreate my warden in the frostbite engine. I've never managed to get one I like. The bloody cheekbones...
Anyway, mine looks a bit like what you described yours like, and he's actually my icon here so yeah.
To get around the hair thing I decided that it would be amusing if by the time of Inquisition he started going bald, and instead decided to shave his head completely. So in my second attempt to create him I tried going for bald/very short hair. It sorta worked. But I want my regular hair back dangit!
