I was rather referring to the characters who talk **** about the Wardens.

Are you proposing a long tradition of sealing Old God souls into newborn babies? Well... that would be more controversial than the Joining.

Besides, the DR cannot prevent or end a Blight. The only contribution I can see in that sense is that it may stop whatever issue there is with killing all Old Gods.

It gives you an Old God who might have been able to do something or at least give helpful suggestions for a more long term approach.  I mean presumably OG knows a thing or two about taint or Old God distress signals.

There's also the small possibility that when all Archdemons are dead the darkspawn will get consciousness like the Architect's followers.

This was my interpretation ever since Awakening. I don't think it's just a small possibility either. I think this is pretty obviously what's gonna happen.

Regardless, the Grey Wardens shouldn't be criticised when there is no better alternative. The world has survived thanks to them and that's enough.

True, it annoys me when characters diss the wardens because I'm a huge fan of the order, and honestly everyone should be kissing their ass

but I guess that's the point. People only appreciate the wardens when they need them, when there's no blight, the wardens are forgotten

Preach it.

The Grey Wardens are like the police officers of the DA universe. Everybody hates on them until they need them. When they are needed, they show up and do their job regardless of how poorly people think of them.

Sera has a line of dialogue after Here Lies the Abyss that is probably the most poignant thing anyone has said about hating on wardens. Something along the lines of.

"Normally, a hero shows up after a bad thing happens. Wardens are the other way around, they're the good thing that reminds you a bad thing exists."

So it's probable that most people hating on the wardens don't necessarily hate on the wardens themselves, or on the organization, but rather subconsciously they're being reminded by the existence of grey wardens that the blight is a thing. They want to forget about it, but can't because the wardens won't let anyone forget (for obvious reasons) so some resentment makes sense.

Though I really wish we had gotten DLC where the HoF shows up and can give all the companions talking smack about Grey Wardens a verbal beatdown. Basically break all the Grey Warden secrets and reveal all the most horrifying details about darkspawn. Such as how they are created...

I think he's hinting that the Wardens will be corrupted in trying to make themselves relevant after the blights are over as he believes all organizations eventually become corrupted in self-preservation.

I'm seeing it as he is questioning if sentient darkspawn (no longer enthralled by the Song) are a worse enemy.  The wardens are a stop gap at best.  For the past 1000 years the darkspawn have been busy digging up Old Gods when not running amok in the Blights.  When that ends, what then?

He says a lot of stuff, but that doesn't mean it's true.  It's just a theory of mine anyway, there's nothing in game that confirms it.

Do you guys think we'll ever actually see what happens when there are no more OGs left for the darkspawn to unearth? Do you think that's something Bioware will cover in-game in the future or do you think we'll be left to speculate for the rest of our lives?

The Evanuris are in the Fade.

Yes, but what if pieces of their spirits were in the Old Gods?  Like Cory did with his dragon?  Like Flemeth does with the amulet Hawke uses.  I guess it wouldn't matter if pieces disappear, though as long as the whole survives.  Maybe the Old Gods are in the Fade too.  Maybe that's why Dumat lured the original magisters to it, to release him?

Just speculating here.

I really hope they will cover it, though i highly doubt it will be on the next game. It's fun to speculate but i'd like to see a closure.

A better comparison would be the ice dragon bound to Hakkon- a spirit of war/winter. But even then those could just be Old Gods being dragons bound to spirits, the Evanuris are just really powerful dickhead elves two separate groups. Solas omits a lot of information from you but he doesn't outright lie.

So I was playing yesterday and had a lot of appreciation from Morrigan, but she still refuses to teach me Metamorphosis.

Ok. Then I level up, and what happens? I can learn Metamorphosis!

Then I speak to Morrigan again and she still refuses to teach it to me, funny. I don't need her help then, the Maker helped me!  :P or I'm a self-taught person.

Then I had fun transforming and I noticed Alistair... and I had a very funny idea in mind: would he still think that my warden is attractive when he sees her like this? hahaha  got to draw something about it, so here it is:

Well, I do know that if Morrigan doesn't approve enough of you she won't teach you. But if she approves of you too much she doesn't teach you either. So basically you have to be in that sweet spot where she doesn't hate you, but also doesn't like you enough to not burden you with an apostate skill? I think?

Also, love that comic. XD

Its one of the weaknesses of the approval system. Its odd. Morrigan can be totally in love with the Warden, know Flemeth's plan for her, and she will still refuse to teach shapeshifting. You have to get it early on. Total guess on my part as its been a while, but she'll teach you Shapeshifting in the 10-40 approval range. Once she starts really caring for the Warden, she will no longer teach you this. As if its her way of rebuking the feelings she's denying herself she has.

When I had "normal approval" she refused, and with high approval, she refused as well.

But anyway, I got the skill and I don't even know how.

I had to buy that skill from the dalish, since i raised her approval too fast as well.
