I'm not sure I understand the point you are making. She did in fact save my character's soul (or at least life) by having a demon child because of the Dark Ritual. So where is the lie?

In my game she did not(I saved my warden by myself)
No you didn't. Letting someone else sacrifice their life for you is not doing it "yourself".

You know, I'm glad that Morrigan isn't a companion in Awakening. She definitely would want the Architect to be spared aaaand I would lose approval.
Imagine though, if they actually changed her character model for Awakening so you've got preggers Morrigan kicking ass. And then randomly you get side quests from her that involve traveling to the middle of the Kokari wilds for a very specific berry, as the cravings set in.
Huh, never realized this was a thing I wanted in my life.

Biovar make it happen...I need this in my life!
Man I'll just stuff her with a load of pickles all day long. ![]()
But wait a second. This is actually pure gold. A pregnant Morrigan bearing OGB would crave some serious freakish feasts, am thinking perhaps a selective darkspawn specimen let's say...an ancient Hurlock full of taint-tastes good i bet
- A few Lyriums of course, red or blue? Maybe a mixture. In the end we don't want to disappoint for we aim to please, Only the best for our dearest witch of the wilds.
What can i say, i like my Morrigan extra spicy. ![]()

Sorry to disappoint you but it is what happen with the redemption achievement it is also the description of the achievement, you didn't order anything(unlike the Warden commander ending) you allowed Loghain to redeem himselfLast time that i checked the situation between Loghain and my Warden was:Loghain:tried to kill the Warden multiples timeWarden:Saved Loghain's lifeIt was pretty unfair and not balanced at all
I'm not saying it's wrong to throw Loghain under the bus. I'm just saying that Loghain is in fact another person and sacrificing him to let you survive is no more saving your warden by yourself than boinking Morrigan to let you survive.

Whether it's the DR or US, I'd never allow another character do the Warden's job.

yeah I didn't want Alistair doing the slaying - my Warden would have missed out on all the spoils of glory - all those endorsements, merchandising, book deals etc he took on before going looking for Morrigan ![]()

Of course, it doesn't really matter when it comes to how the game works and acting like her does raise approval. But it doesn't feel right to me roleplay wise.
How can the Warden help Morrigan soften that stone heart if they are equally cold?

Morrigan really needed two approval bars to pull something like that off convincingly, one being the face value or "facade" bar that she has right now and another hidden one to track responses and actions that'd make her reconsider her worldview. Though the complexity of her conversation tree would become exponentially complex in doing so.
Anyway, just dropping by to let my fellow Morri-romancing PC-players know that I made a small mod for DAI which should fix HoF's letter to the Inquisitor regarding Morrigan. Should work for OGB & regular Kieran variants. Certainly nothing as exciting as the restoration patch was for DAO, but if you wanted the proper letter, now you should be able to get it in-game. You'll need WarrantyVoider's new tools to install and use the mod. Videos of it in action and how to install it are on the page as always. Not played the whole way through the game with the mod on due to lack of time but it only adjusts some codex conditions so it should be fine.

That's all... for now.

The unfortunate placement of Morrigan's head in front of Flemeth's chest makes it look like Morrigan has cat ears and now I cannot un-see it.

Something about Morrigan having a man hating point of view based on that story where she met some Chasind men. And then there was this complaint about how sexist it is that her plan involved having sex with a man. Amusing as usual.

I was just browsing through some of those tumblr confessions. I wouldn't say there were no decent ones, but the typical tumblr stuff was there as well.

Business as usual then.
I do find the ones that try to act like anyone disagreeing with their POV (which usually disagrees with the actual canon) makes one an unreasonable person quite hilarious.

All I can say is that some people (myself included, tbh) don't like having their personal headcanons messed with. Though I'd like to think I'm nicer than that, there are certain subjects on which I can be inflexible. I try to make it clear when it's my personal headcanon, though, because one of the things I enjoy most about this fandom is getting to see different people's headcanons. Just because I don't agree with someone doesn't make either of us automatically wrong.

My headcanon was fine till Inquisition came out. I imagined Surana doing all kinds of wardeny things and coming home to Alistair from time to time (as Awakenings had). Then they had this whole mission board letter saying exactly what she's doing and I was all like....say waaahaaat? ![]()
Meh, she's just off doing her thing, she'll be back sooner or later. Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly, you know?

The point is not just saving the warden, but it is to eliminate the old god, which is impossible with the ritual, which has basically the opposite result..

Mine is still good, so far. I can imagine Surana and Zev keeping busy recruiting Wardens, dealing with the Crows, keeping abreast of the situation with the Circles, kicking blood mages and slavers out of Amaranthine and trying to avoid getting caught up in any more political boondoggles because that's someone else's job now. *coughNathanielcough*

Other pragmatic characters still have a few limits to what that they're willing to do. And the misdeeds they do commit usually are motivated by a genuine desire to protect the greater good.
For an example, Sten is against staying and defending Redcliffe because it isn't part of the main mission. He also argues that you would save more lives by fighting darkspawn elsewhere. Morrigan just... doesn't care.
To explain her character by saying that she is pragmatic only scratches the surface. The greater reason is that she is all about survival and believes that one who puts effort into something that doesn't benefit oneself is a fool.
Oddly enough, she opposes killing Jowan. But I believe that has more to do with how she doesn't like people's fear of magic and executing him for being a blood mage would be just that. Well, in her opinion anyway. But if he were a normal man jailed for threatening the village, she probably would leave him to rot.

IIRC she also wants to let Sten out as well

I absolutely agree regarding personal headcanons and the respect to others, that's why I never engage in discussions about other's love interests or choices.
As an example, my headcanon may be considered tough on several characters but it's still my personal head-canon, in it, I always let alistair be executed and never use him in the entire game not even for his personal quest , I prefer to bring Sten and then, once recruited, Oghren. I bring Oghren for the remaining of the game including "Awakening", he ends up being one of my... Male-Noble-Dual Blade-Rogue-Assassin Warden's best friends besides Sten and Leliana. I always, always romance Morrigan and in my game it looks as if the story is about them. I don't kill zevran but I just help him be on his way and make an acquaintance of him instead of a friend, never use him at all but recruit him and help him in his personal quest. Also, I let Loghain live just so he could die with honor and redemption in the Fade saving the Wardens and the Inquisition. With Anora, Celene and Vivienne in their respective seats of power.
I always toughen up Leliana even when I have to do it all over again in Inquisition but I admit, I like her being a tough fellow sister of the Assassin brotherhood as with every main character, they're all males, rogues, dual blade and assassins, so in a way, Cousland, Hawke and Trevelyan along with Leliana are brothers of the same specialization with strong females as their love interest, Morrigan, Isabela and Cassandra.
Anyway, just an example, I'll stop now hehe, but yeah, I respect other people's head-canons even when they differ much from mine.
