The ritual isn't something common, before Morrigan it was never a thing. Also a warden is needed for the ritual. Beside Morrigan and Flemeth no one knows how it works.

 

The statement you provided still has solid ground. Yes an Archdemon can only be slain with the sacrifice of a grey warden, as Aren mentions at every chance-and he is right- the Archdemon isn't slain, it is his essence that cling to the tainted conceived baby. Supposedly free of the darkspawn corruption, yet within a tainted child - whether it is true or not is open for discussion.

 

What resources are those? The wardens are arguably the most unselfish folks in all of Thedas, since the Imperium soldiers established the order all they've been doing is dying.

 

They don't need to know it. If Kieran becomes tainted like any ordinary person that is attacked by darkspawn on the surface, odds are that a new archdemon will emerge from his body.

 

Cleansed old god soul recorrupt once more...that's neat. Shame we didn't have much time with OGB, so many things I would have asked him. They hand-waved him in a most frustrating way.

 

Still, we have a good chance to bump into an untainted, pure old god - it would be the biggest highlight in the entire franchise!

If Kieran was tainted all along, then darkspawn finding him to add to this is a moot point.  The child seems like what he is, a child like any other, not some half dragon abomination thing with wings and four limbs and sharp dragony teeth in his mouth.  And he has lived a pretty quiet life so far, no darkspawn chasing him to turn him into a crazed Old God.  I think either the soul got damaged in some way if it was violent, or we are seeing what the original personality of Urthemiel "the old gold of beauty" was like.  In the former case kind of a good thing, in the latter scenario kind of sad to think what happened to him.

 

If a human/elf/dwarf/qunari gets tainted they become ghouls.  An archdemon arises because of its tainted dragon body.  If Kieran is a mage, he will probably become a spell casting ghoul just like any other of the humanoid mage races of Thedas, soul notwithstanding.  He may be more powerful, maybe akin to Corypheus or Architect, but not another archdemon since he lacks the physicality to become a tainted dragon (unless, as a mage he learned Morrigan's shapeshifting abilities). We have no evidence he is a mage, but depending on his genetics the possibility is a strong one.  And the idea of a spell casting ghoul is horrifying enough without borrowing that kind of trouble.

 

I don't think the issue will be an issue unless he wants to become a grey warden or another blight breaks out with lots of exposure to darkspawn since they spend most of their time digging in the deep roads and avoiding the surface except for occasional raids.

It's a moot point as of Inquisition anyway since Flemeth took the soul away and he's just a normal little boy now.

 

Even with all these concerns, I still prefer Mommy Morrigan to non-Mommy Morrigan for the character development she undergoes, a side of her I never expected if she wasn't romanced.  Doomsayers be hanged, she will always be a Mommy in my canon.

The fact that Kieran isn't half dragon shouldn't be an issue. The archdemon can transform a potential host into its form, similar to what it does when defeated by ordinary means.

And well... Morrigan could always be the mommy of normal Kieran.

The AD can only be slain by a GW this is true regardless of the DR, who cannot work unless a GW act as a filter for the Archdemon spirit.

Well, the reason that the darkspawn chase down the old gods is because the old gods are trapped and singing to find someone to release them. Even if Urthemiel is in Kieran, I got the impression that it wasn't quite the same as being trapped, so he wouldn't be trying to attract darkspawn.

The player has no basic understanding on how an old god soul work, if the song is an inherent component of their nature then the soul will continue to perform the calling regardless of the host.
This however is untrue for meta knowledge but it was a risk for RP.

Kieran has his own soul and his will.
If he is an OGB and if the taint reach him, his original soul and the one of the ancient being would be destroyed so no archdemon more likely an US

Kind of hard to be a daddy when you're lacking the right parts.  My canon is a female Surana.

 

But his chances of being tainted are slim with the lack of darkspawn exposure, and his Old Soul hasn't been advertising it's presence either making the threat marginal.

That is an excellent point, and definitely one that the Warden and Morrigan would spend a lot of sleepless nights over.

It is because of the tsundere aspect that I decided not to romance Isabela in DA2.

I had already done the "cynical woman doesn't believe in love" shtick with Morrigan, so why bother?

In order to complete Morrigan romance arch in Wh and follow her if i'm not mistaken there is no need to romance her.

Under certain condition she allows the warden to follow her in the Dlc even if she was not fully romanced in DAO,meaning that the warden can follow the friendship route which has less of the "Tsundere aspect" in it but still obtain the same ending in WH which is more romance exclusive.

Human child is required however.

Ditto. Though I was never a huge fan of her in-game outfit either... I preferred the version from the Sacred Ashes trailer, here and here.

They retain the allure of the Avvar style and  are far more practical to wear on the top of a mountain where Skyhold is located.

She simply can't wear her iconic dress unless she want to become a popsicle.

Sometimes I wonder about the family life with Morrigan. That's not something the Order of the Grey Wardens encourages, I'm sure.

They try to sever all ties with the world in order to be fully commited and make hard choices when needed. And it's true that a grey warden who is a father is also a divided man.

As for Kieran, I can't help but chuckle at that line "No son of mine would be raised in a marsh, bereft of contact with the outside world". Sure, because raising him in a parallel dimension is so much better!

Lastly... it would be interesting to see the challenges faced by Morrigan and a Dalish Warden as parents. They have limited knowledge of how to live in human society.

BTW, if someone is interested, I'm writing my first DAO FF and it's obviously focused around Warden and Morrigan, I've read a great deal of them and I don't want to write just another story with a similar idea, nope, I've been doing this for an entire year now, kinda anxious that I might screw up, so if anyone is interested in reading it beforehand, please contact me.
