If you speak to Leliana about a male, living Warden in Inquisition, she mentions that sometimes she sends him letters to ask for advice.

I wonder if Morrigan gets jealous. :D

I imagine Morrigan resorting to turning into bird form and snatching Leliana's letter out of my Warden's hand when he doesn't let her read it

This just came to my mind. How awesome would it be to have Morrigan in her dragon form and the HOF on her back in full armor and they would fly to some great battle together :D

Nathaniel: So, how did you fall in love with Morrigan?

HoF: I just looked at her and thought: "10/10 would ride into battle".

I just had a Moment after giving her Flemeth's true grimoire where she reminisced about our first meeting and professed that she had thought a platonic relationship with a man inconsceivable, and decides that having found a true and trusted friend who appreciates her for everything but her body in me is the best thing that could have happened to her.

That lovely piece of dialogue touched me more than all the melodramatic 'afraid to love you' crap in her romance ever has, especially because I didn't expect to be rewarded for nothing but honest friendship.

And I've now confirmed that a heterosexual man and woman can be friends provided one isn't attracted to the other's species.

Before she storms out of Redcliffe my Warden is going to tell her that knowing her has been one of the last great pleasures of his life, and then he'll go to his death feeling confident that Morrigan is more than strong enough to take on the world now that she knows it isn't all ambition, loneliness and heartbreak out there.

Morrigan friendship rocks! Spread the word.

All that just makes her more attractive to me, not the other way around.

That's because your Warden is a superficial creature who will only cause her pain and misery and confusion. :)

Mine gives her what she really needs. Yours just takes and takes and gives back nothing but big talk and empty passion.

When it's the guy, that still counts as taking.

I stay with the romance. I think that "afraid to love you crap" makes her very adorable.

It definitely does, I'm not saying that her romance isn't great. But friendship is the real treasure. :)

Morrigan causes my King Consort Cousland all sorts of confusion, lol.

So, when I first played DAO, I was quite smitten with Morrigan. Her dialogue, her deliveries, and mannerisms were all great. But the more I played the game the more I realized how annoying she is. Some of her views... are just too douchey for me. Her approving of sacrificing a bunch of elves for a minor increase towards your constitution is when I really started to get annoyed with her. Her wanting to harm a woman protecting children wasn't all that much better either. I also wasn't too fond of her thoughts on the dark ritual either. What made it even more heart breaking was I got that scene on my birthday.  :(

What's odd was I also didn't give two licks about Leiliena. But on a second playthrough I decided to romance Leiliena and I felt her romance is a lot more rewarding and has dialogue as good as Morrigan's. And the Witch Hunt DLC also doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either. I am currently on DAI. And I should be able to meet Morrigan soon enough. I am most interested in seeing how things have changed with her in that game.

Does that mean that Morrigan is Alistair's step-daughter? This is getting creepier.

Yes, that's exactly what it means. He's her mother's lovesick lapdonkey, and I bet he gets kicks and treats in equal measure in that little hovel of theirs.

I swear, I can see their family dynamic with perfect clarity.

Morrigan works as an ex so incredibly well. Romanced her, got the ring, but eventually ended up with Leliana. She eventually comes to be your friend and is happy that you are happy. A big jump in her character development.

You can also role play your Warden being hung up on her really well if you keep the ring after things are over. Love that it gets mentioned in Witch Hunt if you keep it across the DLC.
