OK Folks,

Time to throw in your ITEM choices.  Here are the questions, Awakening ONLY Please:
1.  Best "LOOKIKNG" Armor?
2.  Best "LOOKING" Shield?
3.  Best "LOOKING" Weapons?

If you would like to through in stats feel free, but I'm looking for the best in appearance.

Armor of the Sentinel

weapons- dragonspite,ancient sylvanwood bow, spellfury, staff of the lost, vigilance



shields- griffons crest, landsmeet shield



don't really have a fave though i love spellfury, this is just the best items i came by

Lamp Post and sentinal armour but by far it's voice of velvet that dagger would be cool even if it had some boring graphic though just cause of the ridiculous stats

sorry the exact name is Lamppost in Winter it's the staff you get at the end of the game if you save Amaranthine.

The Sentinel and Kal'Hirol armor sets are amazingly gorgeous. I loved the Blackblade armor too, too bad I couldn't complete the damn set.

I generally don't like the square shields, but I got Partha out of the four-key crypt in the basement and I think it's lovely. It's got this rough...oh, I don't know, brushed aluminum look to it with a purple tinge.

For weapons, I was really impressed with the graphic and the name of "Leg-Crusher." I thought that was so perfect for a dwarf to be carrying that I immediately made my Orlesian dwarf be a 2H warrior just for this weapon (my main dwarf was a shield warrior).



And since all of the heavy/massive armor upgrades in the game have varying themes of gold and silver, I felt the Landsmeet shield (left photo) complimented all the sets due to it's simplicity and ease of displaying logo of choice (won't compete for attention if the armor is too busy).  For a fancy shield, the mage-hunter and heartwood shield (white and silver) do the trick nicely.

I'm partial to Vigilance, myself. The non bugged version (if it looks like starfang, you have the bugged version. Disable Warden Keep DLC and bask in the glory of Vigilance.)

Sorry for the OT, but how do you do that crypt? I only found one key.

Sorry for the OT, but how do you do that crypt? I only found one key. 

Am blanking on locations because it's early here, but I didn't have any trouble finding the other four just going through the storyline and doing quests.  Now I have to go find that anvil in Kal-Hirol for the sword.

you find one key in the room where you unlock the doors, the other three are found when you are finishing the quest (it comes from beneath)

Just got Kal'HIrol last night - looks awesome and my top pick for armor.

Holy crap, good call on that. I was dissappointed when I saw the same old model reskinned... Much better with that DLC turned off.

Voice of Velvet is flat out nasty.



Daisycutter is beautiful also.



Stormchaser looks amazing and even better if you add the Landsmeet Shield with the Grey Warden's logo on it.



I like Talon of the Skies and Mountain-father daggers also.

I am seeing comments of turning off DLC pieces while playing Awakening and that it is causing benefical results. So my question would be WHY? How is a DAO DLC hindering an Awakening game?
