Any thoughts on where to find this for the Wade quest?  It doesn't seem like any of the vendors sell it, so I assume it must be a drop. 

Wish I'd brought one over from Origins...

Yuriah inside Vigil's Keep sells it for around 9gold.

Buy all of the lightning tracings from Ambassador Cera and like 12 novice lightning runes. Work from the journeyman up and you will eventually end up with the grandmaster. that's how i did it last night.

If you're going to craft runes, I highly recommend you make your main character the runecrafter. Then you can actually craft next to the crafting vendor instead of running back and forth. If you have to, spend 6 gold and respec your main character to do it. Saves you a bunch of hassle.

Was not able to get the rune tracing from Yuriah. Are you sure it's available for purchase from him?

Yes, it's from him. It's possible though that he might not have it until he restocks.

I cant find it either, I found a Grandmaster Lightning Rune in the Smuggler's cave in Amaranthine but that was after I initiated the war and Vigil's Keep was destroyed. When I go back to a previous save, however, the rune is not there.

I just read from a wiki entry that a wandering merchant called "Lilith" must be recruited first, and she will appear between heren and the dwarf guy out in the keep stalls. Once she's there, Yuriah will then have that tracing available.

If you are playing on the PC you can use my mod (see sig) to make Cera sell the tracing.

FWIW, I started a new char and Yuriah *has* the tracing the first time I stepped into the keep. *Shrugs*

I completed Trade Must Flow, which means I got Lilith and Armaas. Yuriah didn't sell the tracing. Neither did Ambassador Cera. Lilith is meant to appear at the Keep between the dwarf bombmaker and the metalsmith. But Armaas takes her place. It sucks. And I have the PS3 version of the game. I'll probably wait until the war begins, as another player stated, and go to the Smuggler's Cave to see if it's there.

Apart from completing Trade Must Flow (should you fail to get the tracing at the start of the game), when you meet with the Nobles and congregate, the Seneschal will ask you for where you may wish to send soldiers to: the city, the farms, the trade routes, or to stay at the Keep. Before this, I didnt have the Tracing in Yuriahs inventory after the Trade Must Flow quest. However, I opted on a whim to protect the Trade Routes. I spoke to Yuriah, and he mentioned that the Trade Routes were better protected and he had new stock. Among these new items were several Masterpiece and Grandmaster tracings, including the Grandmaster Lightning Rune Tracing. I was so happy =). And Im on the PS3 version, so I dont have the luxury of mods for potential bugs.

Did you save that guy at the beginning of Awakening that was punching darkspawn and said "I don't want to die" if you save him, Yuriah will say the merchant was grateful and restocked him which includes the tracing
