Just bought the Cousland Coatings for shields, and carrying a normal Kite shield, but dont get the option to "Use" it.

And help appreciated:)

that should work all you do is pull up your radial menu with the character that has the shield you want to coat select potions and locate the shield coating, it just like if you were to use a lyrium potion

Arh thanks, thought had to be selected from inventory.

Now if they will add armor dyes:)

oo where do you get the cousland coatings from?

You get the Cousland coating from the merchant dude in the throne room, if memory serves.
