Hi there,

My problem at the moment is that I go through the whole talk with Leliana in which she asks to join me and I accept... however, she does not actually join the party at the end.

She just stands around, and speaking to her has her repeat her whole speech again - still not joining at the end.

Have tried leaving and reentering the area, and also starting from a previous save and doing the fight again. No dice - she says all the right things, but doesn't actually join.

Helo, please!

Try loading your previous save game and trying again.

Oops sorry I don't know how to read.  Never mind.

Sorry.  I didn't read your whole post.

Yep, just tried that. Loaded a game from further back, and another from even further.

Each time, when I get to Leliana, she'll do her whole bit and then fail to join up.

Just tried restarting the game and the computer, still no way to make her join.

Darn scripting errors... NWN was like this, too. The whole plot grinds to a halt 'cause some trigger broke.

Anyone know a console command or something which can fix this?

Installing the Toolset did this in my game and I had to reinstall everything and even then I had to use a save that was BEFORE I installed the toolset to be able to continue on.

Just loaded from way back, when I had barely loaded this town area for the first time.

Went straight to the inn, kicked the bandits around, etc.

Leliana does her bit. Leliana does not join.

I think maybe installing the toolset might break the game itself?

Check your "...\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Modules" folder, if you have it. If there is a "Single Player" folder, rename it to "Nonsense" or whatever, and then load a save from BEFORE you installed the Toolset and then talk to Leliana. If it works after that, then yeah that's the problem.

Any saves made after you installed the Toolset are going to be ruined. Which was what happened to me yesterday and I practically had to start all over because of it. Because for whatever reason when you install the toolset it makes overriding files which are somehow corrupt and non functional, and then if you play the game with those files and make a game save, they're added to the save itself. So it's irreversible AFAIK.

-_-

Maybe this is why they didn't want to release the toolset?

Try renaming that folder I said, and go back to a save BEFORE you installed the Toolset (If you have one) and see if the problem still happens. You definitely need that folder renamed or removed though in order to play the game.

Tried renaming that folder, and opened up the oldest save I've got - saved on a different computer altogether, no less.

No dice. Get to Liliana, and she bugs out as usual.
