You log onto your account (the same one you're using here) in the Character Creator, and when you're done creating a character you click on the Upload button... and then wait for it to appear in your profile.

That's all there is to it. Once you have the game, you simply log onto your account through it too, and you'll get your ring.

Apparently it syncs faster if more people are checking your profile. Not sure why.

My characters didn't appear in my profile until clicking the "Online Profile" button you find below the upload character button.

On character-creator, after you've determined all the several screens of characteristics, you have the option to save, to upload at the top (after you input your ID and password), and lower left lets you login so the upload works. In my dreams I have this vision of a server that identifies who is uploading and which in its infinite benevolence kindly will in the future after release, send us an E-mail with the unlock codes for the blasted ring.

Having the character show up on this site is entirely separate from getting the item - hitting the "upload" button in the CC and getting a success message should be sufficient. We are planning to put up a page where you can check your item status, which should help set some minds at ease.
