I thought maybe "the seeker" or the architect would go after the god child, but thats only if you do that soo maybe thats a dlc option. as far as story maybe another blight caused by the awakened darkspawn and there experiments. this time its in another country maybe orlais or perhaps the imperium. maybe an explanation to the child at the end of the calling... im pretty sure thats alistar. overall there are plenty of plot areas that are open, duncan has a child perhaps. im eagerly waiting to see what they do and i hope i get to keep my warden

This is all about our current warden or a new warden dealing with the after effects of Morrigan's God baby, you don"t think that did not open up Pandora's Box? From this you could have a ton of people and God's and the Maker mad at you and Morrigan and before you say the Maker would not come down to hunt the child, well he chained the other gods down deep in the ground and I have a hard time thinking they were all bad....there is more to the Maker then meets the eye.
There is still the Black City and that I think will play a part in all of this, along with Morrigan's God baby, I think the child will be hunted in part 2 and your Warden( the farther of the God baby.) or a new warden will have to save it. The Time line will be 5 to 10 years later and I do think during our current warden's timeline all this will come to pass and our warden is not going to some hole in the ground to die(deep roads...dumb Calling). I I do think that that night with Morrigan not only saved you from being killed but from the taint aswell.
I see in the part 2 and into part 3 our warden will have to become very powerful to take on who I think he is going to have to save the child and Morrigan from, then and only then can we go way back to the way the world was as Morrigan said, before all the bad was let into the world.
I think the Maker was a trickster god and turned on all the rest of the other gods and duped them out of power. I'am sure I will be flamed.......oh the Maker is the good god........lol

I'm sort of curious about that silver knight thing they spoke of in the epilogue. I don't know where else they could really go after Awakening with our current PCs. The endings sort of seem final to me.
Not going into spoilers, but I don't see why people think this way. Even if some years go by, I fail to see how the Warden's story is done...
well unless they do a TON of rebalancing and retooling of skills..our characters are virtual gods by the end of awakening...in that aspect they SHOULDN'T do anything unless they address that fact (which in and of itself will be stupid...de-power you? heh..yah)

Much as I would like to continue using the same PC I wouldn't want the same situation that arose in DA:A with the feeling that all the companions had to be upskilled quickly and the darkspawn were just cannon fodder for most of the game. One of the enjoyable aspects of the game, which seems to be borne out by the number of people who have played it multiple times, was the development from scracth which would be lost if you go inat level 30+.
Perhaps the PC as an NPC in a Duncan type role.....
Still want another DLC or two or a new expansion(although I have avoided DSC I will be investing in the Leliana DLC)

What nobody understands is that The Warden's story was done when he/she killed the Archdemon.
Sure, he can show up again for Awakenings, which covers the 'but that wasn't the last Ferelden heard from him..." but he is by no means mandatory. The Warden's tale is told.
And frankly Awakenings endings were not made by the same team that did DAO and so the endings you get make even less sense than DAO's endings.
The only ending slide that said 'tale still to be told' was Morrigan's. It would only be more obvious if they said 'to be continued...'
I'm not saying it's wrong to dream, but many of y'all are going to be angry shmucks when DA2 info comes out and it doesn't feature the same protagonist, or that they scrapped the Origin system in favor of a more concentric storyline and a bigger, more epic main quest.

Looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, but it ain't a duck, basically.
The only Darkspawn issue would be if the kid became a Grey Warden, but I'm willing to bet that's one of the myriad reasons Morrigan took the kid in the first place - to keep it away from such things.

I would love to see an Awakening sized add-on set in 30 years time where the taint does not kill the grey Warden but turn him into something else or give him god like powers. And the return of Morrigan and your child.

I don't know what they are going to do and you don't know, but to say that they are done with it is just a easy cop out so they can be more like final fantasy and keep it easy to make a storyline. I have to say I'am damn sick of games that go all in in new characters and new storys that don't even pick up from one game to the next, it's so over used and it take little skill to come up with a story. You don't leave off half the damn story of a game that felt far from over to leave in a damn codex that my GW died from some damn calling or in the deeps roads having my body tossed around by darkspawn tweekers. It said his story was far from over so you take that as what you will, but you sound like the type that likes the codex and wants a DA2 with more darkspawn killing the same crap and leaving off half the story of characters.........oh thats grand.

Actually the god baby would be a human with the soul of an ancient dragon.

Morrigan wanted the kid to bring back an old age, an age that people were free to do what they wanted and not to be hunted down by those in power. A pure god that could take the world to better times, if you ever read history of the elves,, you would know this, as I'am not in the camp that thinks we play as the kid in the next game, could be wrong.

Once you become a grey Warden you about 30 years left to live as the taint kills you according to the story.

Ok, I'm not saying you're not allowed to dream or that this is not probable or what have you... But this is just absurd. Generations upon generations of Grey Wardens all eventually submitted to the taint and suddenly, right out of the blue, one Warden randomly ends up with god-like powers and some such? I don't know about others, but to me that just seems like pushing it.

Looking at simliar games like Neverwinter Nights 2.
That was the same type of story. The forces of Darkness rising up to destroy the world.
In an add-on pack you become a Spirit Eater.
I found that was similiar to what you became in Bauldur's gate 2.
it would not Surprise me, not after talking darkspawn and their evolution.
