You aren't allowed to complain about something that is free.

It is not free, you paid for Cerberus Network DLC when you were buying the game.

Either that was a clever remark, aimed at the idiotic notion that content was cut from the game in order to sell it later...

Or you're an idiot.

Either way, I strongly disagree with you.

Actually its both. If you bought ME2 second hand you can buy access to Cerberus Network separately. So you can clearly say that CN price was included in game price.

There isn't anything free in capitalism.

And being second hand I am going on a hunch here and gonna say its cheaper than a new copy right? At retail when the game was released as with all new releases the game in the UK was around £40 which is generally the price of every new game before its reduced in a sale or something. So yes the code was FREE.

Included in price != incentive for buying new.
CN was free if you bought the game new.

It's so naive... It is just as free as "buy two, get third free". Sorry, but global companies don't give free presents. Work of Bioware developers cost, it's just included in price.

If I remember right, the cerberus network / pre-order on steam was about $15 more than the standard. So yes, as such, people did pay for it. And so far all that $15 has gotten them is:

Zaeed

Cerberus armor and some craptacular weapon

Arc Projector

Normandy Crash site

All in all, a small, 5min zone, a char with no dialog + a loyalty mission that's extremely disappointing if you take the paragon option, and some gear you'll never use.

Add in this new vehicle, the upcoming character + the costumes (those last 2 you have to pay seperately for, greedy EA), and you'd then be about getting your $15 worth.

But I guess this is what we should expect from a company that is planning to make people pay for playing a game DEMO!

http://www.gamasutra...me_Launches.php

So all in all, if they are charging us for it, it should at least be on time. Passed noon over here.

You aren't allowed to complain about something that is free.

And nor are you allowed to give your opinion on a FORUM without being called a troll or insulted...I have been a few forums in my time and as soon as someone says something negative about a game based on their input you get loyalists who only see one colour attack that person.

I wasn't complaining I was saying I was also waiting however it is rather funny waiting for content that is going to only last a good part of 15mins.

Now taking that into account waiting for DLC that only lasts that long does that make sense to you? I mean in the general sense of when it was announced I am sure everything is already on the disc.

Your opinion and your response show how narrow-minded you are. Also, "I've been a few forums in my time?" Excusing the non-sensical statement, the meaning behind it was to assert your non-existant superiority on the internet. If you had been on a few forums "in your time," you would realize how that makes you look like an idiot. Then, you continue to gripe about having to wait for free DLC.

You probably bought Horse Armor, didn't you?

Are you basing that on the youtube video? There's five missions using the Hammerhead in total.. that's going to be way more than 15 minutes :P

I beleive there was a thread disscussing the fact that the average time it took to do each mission was approx. 3 minutes. Which means it's roughly 15-20 mins total gameplay, if true i think thats just a shocking disappointment.

There seems to be a bizarre idea floating around that your not allowed to critisize something if it's free. That, of course, is complete crap as long as it's constructive.

Personally I think that if your adding such an iconic set peice to the ME universe it deserves far more than a mere 15 minutes of fame and I'd bet money that it was untill it was cut down to size by the evil overlords at EA.

Is that the best you can really come up with? Further insults to prove my claim, the problem these days is that they even allow kids on mature forums like these *sigh* oh well.

Nope, not in the EU at least. ME2 was £30 for the Standard, £40 for DDE. That's common pricing.

Zaeed
Cerberus armor and some craptacular weapon
Arc Projector
Normandy Crash site

A character with no dialogue? Please tell me you took Zaeed on a mission with you outside his loyalty, he's got dialogue in a lot of "cutscenes" and conversations.

Add in this new vehicle, the upcoming character + the costumes (those last 2 you have to pay seperately for, greedy EA), and you'd then be about getting your $15 worth.

How is it greedy that we have to pay for Kasumi? I won't disagree on the costume prices (although I'm buying them), but BioWare/EA need to turn in a profit at the end of the day. I'm guessing that Kasumi is going to be fully functional, just like Zaeed, so I think it's only fair we have to pay for her. It's not like she's that expensive, either.

So all in all, if they are charging us for it, it should at least be on time. Passed noon over here.

It's 12:18pm here. They've still got ~12hrs before it's "late".

The game was released at 28.01, it's now 23.03. That's how long it takes Bioware to make a 15min long DLC. I'm sure that we will get more missions for The Hammerhead, but they won't be free anymore. I hate EA so much...

It is rather dissapointing however EA do have a history of charging for pretty much everything on the Xbox Live marketplace however considering the game was £40 at retail and the code was free with it and that EA have allowed the content to be put out for free until Kasumi comes out shows they aren't that bad :-)

One could even say they are getting their money back in other ways but then if they were really that bad they could just have charged for every bit of content already put out for free.

On a serious note, what irritates me about the DLC release is that not only do we not know *when* it will be released today, but I'm afraid to log into the Cerberus network because it might break my current DLC/saves. After the mess with DA:O, you'd think that there would be a way to roll this out that is more customer friendly. We are not the enemy....

Well we will now see if the developers really do listen to the feedback from the community 1) Hammerhead was cut from the game 2) it is extremely short so in that sense here is hoping they release something longer for free but i got a feel they will release larger mission packs at 560points a pop.

In what way is it going to break your DLC if you log into the Cerberus network? Using a pirated copy are we?

It would be really interesting to see how they will charge for DLC-missions requiring a vehicle that only becomes available through CN... that would mean they would limit their market for that piece of DLC to CN-members only, or have to make the HH available to non-CN-members, both of which would be... weird, at least.

No and please don't suggest that I am a thief.  I paid and registered my copy of ME2.

My issue is that when we downloaded DLC in the past it damaged the saved games and didn't show up in game properly.  It also removed (temporarily) the DLC that had already been installed so we couldn't play it until Bioware/EA fixed it with a patch.   Big mess.  So I'm a bit nervous about there being a problem that hoses my current game.
