Well, yes. Since it does not have much voice acting, and limited areas why not?

they are using the same exact engine for ME3, so they could be using this to base their intended content of ME3....just speculation though

Having just picked up ME1 after having played ME2, I suspect your right. Overall gameplay I find I like ME1 better than ME2 however the visuals of ME2 are way better. My own speculation is that ME2 is less a story transition as it is a technical one. The changes under the hood so to speak probably reduced the time available for story/mission/gear content. Just my opinion but I expect that we will see more DLC/CN content that will be seen again in ME3.

Hammerhead impression: the backstory of the DLC is actually quite riveting and follows the main Mass Effect storyline. The vehicle is actually quite fun to maneuver around, and navigating through harsh, challenging landscapes was quite a joy. The only disappointment I have is that there is more exploration and less combat, and the missions were too short. I'm sure BioWare could do more with this... not to say that Mass Effect 2 is an awesome game out of the box.

I just want to know why collecting research/minerals results in a violent shaking process. Does this process suddenly give Shepard palsy or something?

I am pretty disappointed with this. Most of the missions involve you navigating around a map pressing a button at specific points in the game. The final mission and the mission you fight geth are kick ass though! I love how you get to keep the relic too!

Have to admit, the "heating up the Hammerhead" was a stroke of genius. I've always wanted to heat up a hover tank in freezing temperatures. The ice damage was more amazing than the collector's as Sheperd's nemesis. Gonna replay the Ice level over and over again. Best level in a video game, ever!

Are you kidding about teh graphics? Sure ME2 has a "cleaner presentation" and ME1 had graphical hitches, but the physics engine along with some of the planet side visuals surpass any high res matte that ME2 can muster. They had to downgrade the engine so that it would work better on the 360. Character models have a nice improvement but environmental graphics and abilities graphics were dumbed down in ME2. ME1 had better graphics overall especially for the year it was released in.

I thought the vehicle combat was buggy. The 'guided' missiles appeared to target the 'biggest' enemy instead of the one I had bracketed, which was... confusing to say the least. It often resulted in missiles curving around to track a target behind cover and consequently striking NONE of the targets. I felt like I was being forced to close and dodge enemies so that I was targeting the enemy the game 'expected' me to.

I was happy to see mention of another ME1 character, but a little disappointed not to encounter him in person.

The DLC serves the purpose of introducing the new vehicle and playing mode well, but that's about all it does. Bioware was wise not to charge for it, but there's no reason why it can't be used for worthwhile paid DLC. (I'd like them to take another look at the missile guidance, though.)

Shame my desktop's psu blew up last week. It's going to be a while before I get a chance to play with the Hammerhead. :(

It's to get your attention.  Which it did.

I expect they'll be announcing something when the timer runs down.

The missions did seem pretty pointless but honestly, I felt the exact same way about most of the N7 missions.

At the very least, it provided us with a bit more time in the ME2 universe that we havent already played to death and....its free.

My only real frustration with it was the errors in what keys it tells you to press. I didnt even think to look at the key bindings and probably wasted 10 minutes figuring out why "left shift" or "right mouse" wasn't doing sh*t.

My favorite part was the Prothean Sphere. Like the one you found in ME1. Except in ME1 you get a short story to read about the information the Sphere imparts. In this it shrinks and nothing is learned. ME1 is better.

Just bring your LI in the Hammerhead and you'll easily keep things heated up in there. Image IPB

I really like the Hammerhead and its missions, just too bad there werent more. But i didn't expect nothing less from a free DLC, and i'm sure in the future more missions will come for the Hammerhead.

I would have even paid for this. Good job Bioware!

I'm pretty sure the timer won't have anything to do with ME, as it's on the DA page as well. Star Wars MMO maybe?

Just out of curiosity, it states that it's "free with cerberus activation."  I don't usually mess with this kind of thing, so it's a little new to me.  Does this mean that only if I had bought the game today and activated the Cerberus Network I would get the Firewalker pack, or can someone whose had the game for some time to do it for free as well.  If so (or if not), how do I go about doing this?

Addon:  Also, how the hell is everyone playing with vehicles in ME2?  Am I missing something, or is this only available with the Firewalker pack?

It was enjoyable! Runnin' and gunnin'. Sure, a great story with tons of characters would have been better, but for the price you can't beat it. Enough story mixed with a great ending and good fun.

Moar!
