they are using the same exact engine for ME3, so they could be using this to base their intended content of ME3....just speculation though
Having just picked up ME1 after having played ME2, I suspect your right. Overall gameplay I find I like ME1 better than ME2 however the visuals of ME2 are way better. My own speculation is that ME2 is less a story transition as it is a technical one. The changes under the hood so to speak probably reduced the time available for story/mission/gear content. Just my opinion but I expect that we will see more DLC/CN content that will be seen again in ME3.

Are you kidding about teh graphics? Sure ME2 has a "cleaner presentation" and ME1 had graphical hitches, but the physics engine along with some of the planet side visuals surpass any high res matte that ME2 can muster. They had to downgrade the engine so that it would work better on the 360. Character models have a nice improvement but environmental graphics and abilities graphics were dumbed down in ME2. ME1 had better graphics overall especially for the year it was released in.

I just want to know why collecting research/minerals results in a violent shaking process. Does this process suddenly give Shepard palsy or something?
Halp guyz!! I'm scanning minerals! makes me have seizures!!! *Sheperd starts spazzing out at the controls because he's scanning 125 units of Iridium*.

I was happy to see mention of another ME1 character, but a little disappointed not to encounter him in person.
The DLC serves the purpose of introducing the new vehicle and playing mode well, but that's about all it does. Bioware was wise not to charge for it, but there's no reason why it can't be used for worthwhile paid DLC. (I'd like them to take another look at the missile guidance, though.)

I expect they'll be announcing something when the timer runs down.

At the very least, it provided us with a bit more time in the ME2 universe that we havent already played to death and....its free.
My only real frustration with it was the errors in what keys it tells you to press. I didnt even think to look at the key bindings and probably wasted 10 minutes figuring out why "left shift" or "right mouse" wasn't doing sh*t.

Just bring your LI in the Hammerhead and you'll easily keep things heated up in there.TheLostGenius wrote...
Have to admit, the "heating up the Hammerhead" was a stroke of genius. I've always wanted to heat up a hover tank in freezing temperatures. The ice damage was more amazing than the collector's as Sheperd's nemesis. Gonna replay the Ice level over and over again. Best level in a video game, ever!

Addon: Also, how the hell is everyone playing with vehicles in ME2? Am I missing something, or is this only available with the Firewalker pack?
